Everything in this ocean and bay view condo is new and it has JUST been remodeled! This condo sleeps 6. There is a new World Class Simmons Contender queen size mattress, a new Lazy Boy memory foam sleeper sofa and built in bunk beds that are adult strength with new pillow top mattresses. The condo has beautiful and unique decor that is local to Galveston. There is everything you need to have a fun and relaxing vacation including hotel toiletries (in case you forgot something!)
New TV, DVD player, cable and free WIFI are available. There are games, books and DVD’s for all ages to enjoy.
Washer and dryer are steps out the front door. The balcony has a beautiful and quiet view of the ocean and bay with an outdoor fan to keep you cool. Table and chairs are located on the balcony to enjoy the days and nights.
Bathtub has a double spa head for a refreshing shower. Maravilla has one of the largest pools in all of Galveston complete with an island and a large gazebo area for personal use. There is a secondary pool (that is heated in the winter), a kiddie pool and a hot tub that is heated year round! There are several BBQ pits and a volleyball net for your enjoyment. A workout room, recreational area and a business center are all available off the lobby to you and your guests. There are also 3 elevators to get you where you need to go.
There is a full size kitchen with upgraded granite counter tops. This kitchen is stocked with everything from a blender, toaster, coffee maker and a mixer to dishes, pots/pans, baking utensils, spices, coffee and much more!
Jimmy's on the Pier is within walking distance and has one of the best views in Galveston. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have a full bar (call for hours during winter). You can fish on the pier year round, so bring your fishing pole or rent one there.
I personally own and manage this property to ensure everything is just the way it should be for every guest.
Covered parking. Parking pass is $20 per car per 30 day visit and is purchased from Maravilla office at arrival.
Linens, beach and pool towels included.
Pets are welcome for NO additional charge. HOWEVER, there is a 2 pet maximum.

About Lara Coursey
I grew up in the area and always loved spending time in Galveston as a quick getaway with my family and friends. My dad worked as an entertainer in and around Galveston and his logo was 'Almost Famous One Man Band'. Therefore I named my first property in Jamaica Beach after him and now that I have my second rental I carried on his memory... 'Almost TWO Famous'!!!

Why Lara Coursey chose Galveston Island
I found Maravilla and loved the size of the units which are much larger than most in Galveston. The pool area and amenities are so wonderful I couldn't imagine being in any other complex! The best eateries and things to do are all close but the complex is on the West end of the seawall which makes it quiet and convenient. Schlitterbaun and Moody Gardens just a few miles away and Schlitterbaun is open year round!

I remodeled and furnished this property with the number one priority being comfort and relaxation. Me, my family and friends love staying here and so does my precious dog, Honey!

Nice Unit With A Great View
I stayed in this unit for a month. There is a very nice view of the water from the unit. The beach is right across the street. The unit is clean, comfortable and well-stocked. The laundry room is directly across the hall from the unit. The laundry room is very clean and the washer/dryers are in good working order. The maintenance crew attends to the landscaping and grounds with a lot of TLC. I think some of the common areas in the building (stairs, hallways) would benefit by some additional TLC to bring the appearance of the building in line with the appearance of the grounds. Also, when the unit upstairs is occupied, there is some noise, but it quiets down eventually.
Good location, furniture could be improved.
Best parts: The apartment is in a good location, across the street from the sea wall (the actual beach is some distance away). We stayed for a month. The kitchen was adequately equipped for our needs.
Very comfortable bed and sofa bed. A minor electrical problem was promptly addressed by the owner. Cable TV with a good selection of channels, a DVD player, a supply of movies on DVD, as well as children's toys are provided. Though the building is "pet friendly,'' dog owners were considerate about keeping their dogs quiet.
Not so good: The furniture was somewhat lacking. There is no dresser, though there's room for one in the bedroom, so one has to hang all one's clothes in the bedroom closet or leave them in luggage.
Apart from a couple of flimsy folding tables there's no dining table or any table of a height suitable for eating or working on a laptop, and apart from the sofa the only places to sit are a couple of uncomfortable straight-back wooden chairs. The only table is a low one for the DVD player.
This probably wouldn't matter much to people on a short stay, but since we were there for a month, we had to buy a table and a floor lamp for reading and carry in outdoor chairs from the patio deck for some place comfortable to sit.
We enjoyed our time in Galveston, and appreciate the thought and effort the owner has put into making the apartment a good place to be. Some additions to the furniture would improve it.
This apartment is right on Seawall Blvd, although you have to walk some to get to the actual beach. The area around the condo is just rocks. The apartment could use a good cleaning, and it has a bad odor. This may be due to recent pets that have stayed there. Internet did not work well. However, the owner was very responsive to concerns. If you won't be in the apartment much, it is a nice place to stay. There is a partial ocean view from the balcony and a nice fitness room available 24hrs/day. There is no laundry in the condo, but there is a washer/dryer across the hallway from the apartment. Parking costs 20/month-stay in addition to rates listed. It was too cold for me to enjoy but there is also 2 nice pools on the property.
You'll love this place!
We absolutely loved our stay at Lara's condo. It was small, but wonderful. Everything was clean, neat, and very nice. We were extremely happy to be able to have our pets with us and not have to worry about leaving them with someone. The property grounds were also very nice. Although the weather was cool, the heated pool was extremely warm- NICE. And, the hot tub was nice and hot. The fitness room was also adequate, with several machines. We would love to be able to stay again sometime. My only disappointment was no sandy beach across the street, but there is a nice sandy ( free ) beach about a mile west down the road, Sunny Beach. Lara was extremely nice and easy to communicate with. Thanks for a great experience.
Nice condo, great owner!
This was a nice condo. We stayed here for a month.The linens were top quality and the beds comfortable. The pools are awesome and the location is perfect. Close enough to everything without being in the middle of the crowds. The owner is very responsive. We had only one minor issue and she responded to our text within 10 minutes and fixed the issue quickly. The reason only 4 stars is the condo is quite small. Not a problem for us as we were only 2 and we only spent morning breakfast in the condo and came home to it at night to rest up for the next day. May seem crowded if more than 2 adults. We had a lovely stay and do not hesitate to recommend this home.
Very clean condo. Plenty of pillows, blankets, towels, patio furniture & house necessities. The pools and grounds were kept clean & the staff was very friendly.

A VRBO Service fee is calculated on a sliding scale of 4% to 10% of the total booking. The charge applies to the cost of the rental and will not exceed $499. The service fee is for features such as 24/7 customer support etc. 10% discount for active military and veterans. Monthly rentals available for October through March.
