About Sue Ross
We both grew up in the Moose Lake area. Jerry was raised on a farm and my parents owned a resort on the lake. We raised our 3 children in the Hayward area and enjoy all the natural beauty of this beautiful area.
Sue Ross purchased this Cabin in 1994

We really enjoyed our stay at Ross Retreat. Very clean, awesome location and Sue was very helpful. We really didn't notice that smoking was allowed and were concerned about the smell but it was not noticeable.
Fun was had by all
We had a great week staying at the Ross's Retreat. Weather was beautiful and so was the lake! Caught and released 34" Musky, a few small mouths, and walleyes. Great time!
It was okay
The cabin was decent the mattresses are terrible to sleep on and it rained 3 days of our trip and the bathroom ceiling leaks, would not stay again
The cabin was great and contains all you need for a great stay up north. Fishing was great especially musky!
Wonderful vacation, quiet getaway
First vacation in 10 years, and I picked the best place for us to go. It was beautiful all around us. Moose Lake is a very nice place to be and fish. We got skunked, but that didn't stop us from trying :)
The cabin is Very Nice! All the things you need to have a getaway, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, utensils, paper towel, garbage bags all provided for you.
Beds are a bit older maybe, but still very comfortable and the sheets were great! Sue has provided fans to move around for comfort also, and they work great.
I suggest that you rent a boat for your stay, if you are there for fishing. If you do, Don't Forget bug spray, I almost titled this review BugFest 2018, the mosquitoes were Terrible. We took our dogs, a lab puppy and a papillon, they both loved the water, and played retrieve. If your there to just enjoy, then your all set. You do not see a direct sunset, but as it does the colors around you change and the sky was beautiful!
We also had a bite to eat at Louie's Landing, I suggest you go and get a GREAT burger there, they are Ground Ribeye, and Delish!!
Thank you Sue Ross for having a great cabin and for sharing it with others!
We will be back :) :) :)
