Best Downtown Location

We woke every morning and watched the spinner dolphins pass by on the way to somewhere... The unit is perfect for two people and perfectly located downtown without the noise. The unit was clean, well equipped and nicely udpated with granite, upgraded linens and all the toys we typically have to buy or rent. What a wonderful getaway. We will be back!

Beautiful Condo in Excellent Location

This condo is gorgeous and has all the touches of home. We were pleasantly surprised with the location as well. Right in the center of town. This condo offered beautiful views and we were able to watch the dolphins every morning with our coffee and awesome sunsets in the evening. Super nice place ! I would highly recommend !

Beautiful downtown Kona condo

Beautiful fully loaded condo has everything you need for a convenient and comfy stay. Located next to many fun food stops and bars, u don't have to look far for fun. View off the lanai was the best we've had on the islands. Highly recommend the Waipio valley ATV tour and the dolphin swim and snorkel adventure. Rental process was very easy and self explanatory. Carol made the process very easy. Can't wait to go back! Big island now our fav!

Great stay

Great location on Alii Drive. Easy walk to shopping and dining. Couldn't beat the ocean view from the lanai. My wife's favorite spot when we were in the condo. Nicely updated unit. Spacious. Plenty of room for a family of 4. Sleeper sofa worked great for the kids. Kitchen was equipped with everything needed(utensils) for preparing meals. The only con would be the $35 per day fee for use of the air conditioner. That being said, we never needed it. 3 large ceiling fans and the close proximity to the water the temp in the unit during our stay averaged in the mid/upper 70s. Perfect. We'll definitely keep this place in mind the next time we visit Kailua-Kona and would recommend to others.

Nice unit, but too many caveats

As other reviews indicate, the unit is nicely remodeled and in a central location. We in particular liked the bedroom and kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked with nice dishes. The living room could have used another easy chair or more art work to help it feel less sparse. The landscaping is nearly non-existent compared to other condos we've stayed in, and the pool is ALWAYS shaded. The sun NEVER hits the pool area. The view is fabulous if you don't count the bums that have claimed the area directly below and across the street. They were there in large numbers every single day and night, participating in unsavory activities. One day they were even blowing party horns and then yelled at us to "Go Home!" when we asked them to quiet down. I was also disappointed with the nickel and diming I received from the owner. When I contacted her about the unit, she quoted me more per day than was advertised on VRBO, but when I asked why, she agreed to only charge me the quoted amount. After I paid the full amount of the rental PLUS a large deposit, she told me that she would be taking a large amount out of my deposit (that was supposed to be for damages) to pay a house cleaner. When we couldn't find the controls to the air conditioning, she informed me that air conditioning would be a significant amount more per day. I think these things should have been communicated upfront. We never received instructions for how to enter the building, so when we arrived to discover that there is no reception desk and only a tiny locked elevator lobby, it was quite disconcerting. Fortunately, and to her credit, the owner always answered her phone when we called, and provided us with instructions. She also apologized for the lack of communication, saying that she had emailed us with instructions. I don't know why we didn't receive them. All in all, a beautiful unit, but too many caveats and negatives for us to choose it again.

Awesome!

Absolutely loved this condo! Fully renovated and furnished! Great view and loved the sounds of the crashing waves against the rocks. Very convenient to shops and restaurants. Driving around Kona is only 10-15 minutes away from most major supermarkets and the your own parking spot is handy.
