Perfection!

Just an absolutely delightful experience! We have been staying at at a Bali Kai unit or another for the past 40 years, and this one topped them all. Clean, beautiful and everything you would need has been provided.Holly is so helpful with any questions. Give this experience a 10 out of 5.

Perfection!

Perfect location, breathtaking view from the lanai. Unit is really well maintained, clean and functional. We had a fantastic stay and our host was super responsive with any question that we had. Our only regret is to not have come here earlier in our trip. Couldn’t recommend more :)

Our family absolutely LOVED our stay! You can't beat the view from the balcony and the condo was comfortable and well stocked. It felt like home. If and when we ever return to the Big Island, this is the only place we will be staying!

Location is amazing, property needs a few upgrades, could use a small air conditioning unit in back bedroom so when people sleep with the door shut it would be a little cooler, but our stay was so enjoyable. Had a tiny mishap upon checkin, reached out to Holly, but never heard back from her so my resolution must have been acceptable. Was an amazing stay. Thank you!

Sunsets and Whales!

We stayed a month. No issues, new washer and dryer. Well stocked kitchen and supples. Comfortable master bedroom. If you want a sea side retreat this is the place. Top floor, large balcony for watching sunsets, whales, surfers, dining and playing games.

Disappointed

Found washer broken on arrival, dirty clothes locked inside. Host said known issue but forgot to tell us. Sched maintenance for the next day, we altered plans to work around but then told it was not fixable and would remain so. Nasty mess left by maintenance who used guest bathroom sink and toilet to flush something out. Nasty water and yucky parts strewn on floor. Host said use public laundry downstairs as alternative. Discovered it was coin operated but we had no quarters. Ran out to find some - only one gas station would help. Hurried back because the laundry room is locked at 9pm only to find the coins get stuck. Finally noticed instructions for app that can be used instead of coins requiring at least $10 to be added to your “funds”, not refundable if unused. Plus, only one of the 2 washers functions and was filthy . Thankfully the dryer in the condo did function well. Host initially offered mild compensation. Then offered complete refund if we found a new place... finally agreed to a few nights off, a nice gesture but a major hassle. We should have been informed prior. Condo building is run down, near end-of-life. Stair risers and carpet worn out, never cleaned. Metal surfaces corroded. Paint pealing. "Heated" pool was frigid! Hot tub water luke warm and cloudy. Front desk almost never on duty. The good: Unbeatable ocean view. Great location. In their defence, most of the big island looks run down - almost no new construction or remodling. Cheesy shopping.

Highly recommend!

This was the best Vrbo we have ever experienced! The property was exactly as pictured, and Holly was friendly, a good communicator, and left all sorts of nice extras for our stay! Attention to detail and available options in the condo made for a wonderful stay. The sunsets were unbelievable - right off the lanai, looked like postcards! Highly recommend to anyone!!

Beautiful Staycation

This property over-books a gorgeous view and has surfing nearby that you can see from the lanai. The property was super clean and well stocked. Beds were very very comfortable. The second bedroom had two twins and our son who is 6’4” said the bed was really comfortable. The only suggestion is that room has an older window that doesn’t shut well. So he wore ear plugs while sleeping. Otherwise he mentioned a lot of road noise during the night. We would definitely rent this again if we return to Kona. Thank you to the host and for stocking this so well especially the island treats.

Best view and location!

Close to fun beaches, restaurants, able to take walks in the morning in the street walking lane, and watched sea turtles from our balcony! Such a fun and relaxing week. Clean, has plenty of beach towels, has ice, and elevator. Nice big bed in master and twin beds in front bedroom for two separate people, perfect for our family. We enjoyed the hot tub at the pool as well.

Beautiful

My husband and I spent a week at this condo. The view is amazing, beyond words! It’s about as close to the water as you can get without being on a boat! Watched surfers, sea turtle and fish in the waves and beautiful sunsets right from the balcony! Location was close to shopping and restaurants. The volcano and Black Sand Beach was a bit of a drive but well worth it! So many snorkeling spots very close to the condo. We had a four wheel drive and we’re able to access some remote beaches too. So appreciate how well equipped the condo was, shampoo, soaps, laundry detergent, beach chairs, cooler, rain ponchos and umbrella (light rain at the volcano) binoculars, spices, paper towels etc. wow… well thought out. Master bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows. Second bedroom is on the roadside of the condo, we didn’t use as our college kids stayed home on this trip but it would have been fine for them. Kitchen was well equipped and we used the grills down below a few times, perfect. Super quiet complex with a view second to none.

The condo was fully updated and the view was incredible. The lanai was spacious and well appointed. Great spot for morning breakfast and early evening cocktail hour watching the sunset. Great location! Would recommend to family and friends.

Amazing first visit to the Big Island

This condo was so much more than we expected! We did not want to leave! We had such a great time that we decided to come back for Thanksgiving but this unit is so popular that it was already booked so we are "settling" for another condo at this property.

Wonder Hawaiian Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Holly’s condo. The two bedroom condo was perfect for our family of four. The kitchen was fully equipped with absolutely everything one would need to prepare any meal and having laundry was a huge bonus. The air conditioning worked perfectly and parking was plentiful and easily accessible. We spent many hours on the spacious lanai enjoying the sea breeze and listening to the waves crash on the rocks. Every night we were treated to an amazing sunset. The location made it easy to explore nearby shops, restaurants and coffee farms. The host Holly was easy to work with and provided detailed directions and recommendations for us. We hope to return someday!

Amazing view, quiet complex

The location was perfect, and so was the view. Things that I like to know when I'm looking for a place are as follows: 1. Perfectly equipped, the kitchen (tools and even spices) the bathrooms, laundry liquid. What I learned is, it is a luxury to have such a huge quantity of towels, there were SO MANY, bath and beach and I never knew how much I would love this. The only downside (probably covid related) they are missing masks in the toy closet and no cooler so bring or buy. Very comfortable bed, however I dont know why they have synthetic sheets in a hot climate. 2. Other conveniences. Parking was easy and shaded because its under the building. Pool was clean and pretty quiet but doesnt have a view of the ocean. They didnt have a working wash off area near the beach for sand. BBQs were awesome, when you find a working one (the complex maintenance diligently clean them daily but apparently dont check to see if they are working so we had to walk to other units with food etc.) The plethora of fans were AWESOME. 3. Communication was good enough. Check in with a code was very easy. Great instructions for the property, and notes for specifics left for us in the kitchen e.g. water in fridge was broken but very thoughtful and perfect to have brita in the fridge for us. I did send a mail in advance requesting some recommendations for dinner but the response was delayed and didnt contain that type of info, so do your research in advance. We would stay again. :)

Kona comfort

This condo is beautiful, super clean and well stocked and just as pictured. Holly was super responsive when I needed to contact her in attempting to resolve an issue. The views are amazing and we slept listening to the sounds of crashing waves. The only drawback for us is 1 of the 2 Community grilling areas is directly below this unit, which attracts a lot of people; which turns into noise. The property did strictly enforce the 9PM noise curfew after I called.
