About Patricia Gohlke

This property has been in our family since 1966. My parents built the house in 1974 and loved the woods and river for many years. We as a family spent many 4th of Julys on the Middle Bosque River camping and swimming. My father could be heard saying late on a summer afternoon, 'Let's go to 'the Bosque' when it was time to go cool off in the Middle Bosque River after a long hot day of work. That's how our name began. So share in the pleasure and fun with us and come for a visit at 'The Bosque'.

Patricia Gohlke purchased this house in 2014

Why Patricia Gohlke chose Texas

We bought the family land in 2014 and began a total remodel of the house and surrounding areas. It's been a lot of work but also a lot of fun and satisfaction.

What makes this house unique

A real family home to be used for weekends or vacation where you and your family can feel at home and enjoy your time at 'The Bosque'. You can walk in the woods, or to the river, fish and just enjoy the changing leaves as you relax and unwind at 'The Bosque'.

Beautiful inside & out

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely time - The house is spacious and accommodating. The outdoor areas were relaxing and inviting and of course the Gator made traveling around the property fun!!

We had easy access to events & activities in Waco and explored Crawford.

Fantastic girls weekend

  • 5 of 5

The house and property are just beautiful! We enjoyed lots of visiting outside on the beautiful patio. There were 8 of us ladies and we had more than enough room for all of us. We enjoyed a ride on the gator to look at the amazing property. The owner was always quick to answer questions and had everything ready for us upon arrival. We will definitely plan a trip back! It was an easy 15 minute drive to Waco.

Girlfriend Getaway @ The Bosque

  • 5 of 5

Me and 11 of my closest girlfriends stayed at The Bosque for our Waco Weekend. Let me first say that, Mrs. Gohlke (owner), is amazing - she quickly responds to all inquiries/emails, and checked in on us during our trip to make sure we had everything we needed. She even made a gas run for the Gator (which I highly recommend spending the extra $100 to explore the beautiful property). Secondly, I'd like to say that pictures do not capture the true beauty of this place. The Bosque is beautiful - inside and outside. There is every kitchen accommodation you would need for a getaway weekend. A great outside fire pit for evening drinks and story telling. If you explore the property on the Gator, take the trail all the way to the river - it is a beautiful trail. There are plenty enough bathrooms for 12 girls! Only recommendation would be to update the mattresses, a few of us had a rough night sleep, and the living room could probably sit another couch for more large group seating. Other than that, all 12 of us said we would definitely stay there again! If you choose The Bosque, be sure to take a small 1 mile trip down to Tonkawa Falls - the Crawford Community Park is very nice and great place to capture some cool pictures. Our purpose for travel was to visit the Magnolia Silos, and all the other fun shopping trips on the trolley tour. However, our second day we spent exploring nature in the surrounding area - Tonkawa Falls, Cameron Park, and the Waco Suspension Bridge. Love The Bosque!!

Braggin' 'Bout "The Bosque"

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect place for our 27th GIRLFRIEND'S REUNION!!! Perfect location, perfect size, perfect accommodations for the 8 of us! We wanted to be close to Waco because we planned to spend our days there. We loved the big room where we could all eat & sit around the fireplace to visit. There were just enough bedrooms and bathrooms for our group. And the surroundings were beautiful. And the hostess couldn't have been more accommodating. She was helpful and cooperative in every way. I highly recommend this beautiful house.
