About Patricia Gohlke
This property has been in our family since 1966. My parents built the house in 1974 and loved the woods and river for many years. We as a family spent many 4th of Julys on the Middle Bosque River camping and swimming. My father could be heard saying late on a summer afternoon, 'Let's go to 'the Bosque' when it was time to go cool off in the Middle Bosque River after a long hot day of work. That's how our name began. So share in the pleasure and fun with us and come for a visit at 'The Bosque'.
Patricia Gohlke purchased this House in 2014
Why Patricia Gohlke chose Crawford
We bought the family land in 2014 and began a total remodel of the house and surrounding areas. It's been a lot of work but also a lot of fun and satisfaction.

Amazing and beautiful home
We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at The Bosque. It was really nice to get away from it all and just enjoy spending quality family time together. The house was perfect and it had everything we needed. The kids loved the downstairs room! It was so much fun riding around on the Gator and exploring the property! We definitely plan on coming back very soon!
We hosted my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary party here as well as hosted 14 people for a long family weekend. It was perfect in every way! The owners are super helpful and responded to all my questions. Great home and property, we will come back again.

we under used this awesome house, but it allowed our youth group to attend a conference in Waco
this is a great place, could be used for a family reunion and much much more
Peaceful, warm and comfortable setting for our group retreat
We were thrilled to find this peaceful location with the space we needed for our small group retreat. The owner was gracious and accommodating to our questions and needs. We enjoyed the comfort of the home, the quietness of the setting, and the front porch kitties who greeted us.
This property is the perfect family getaway!
We visited Bosque for our 40th anniversary with our family of 6 adults and 4 young children. The house is simply beautiful and had everything we needed. Patricia was an amazing and accommodating host. She checked in on us and even fulfilled our last minute request for a high chair. But the real highlight for our family was the amazing outdoors. We hiked and explored, skipped rocks, took the gator out, built fires, ate s’mores...it was like camping but with a beautiful cozy home for eating and sleeping. We’re all excited about the possibility of returning someday.
Fabulous Family Holiday
Our family (8 adults & 7 children) met and stayed here over Christmas 2017. We had a fabulous time in this lovely home that was beautifully decorated inside and out for the holidays and was very warm, welcoming and clean. With three dining tables, there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy sit-down meals together and to play games on. There were plenty of bath and kitchen linens and paper and other miscellaneous supplies. The kitchen was filled with plenty of china and glassware, and included holiday dishes just for our stay. The laundry facilities made it easy to keep up with the laundry for our large group. There was plenty of room for everyone to hang out without feeling crowded, and the kids absolutely loved playing in the great outdoors. We enjoyed several evenings around the fire pit, and even had a wiener and marshmallow roast and s'mores. Riding the Gator around the property was fun for both the adults and kids alike. The preparation for guests and Texas hospitality was shown in numerous ways, and ensured that we felt very relaxed and cared for during our stay. There were even extra toiletries in case we forgot something. Our Christmas was very homey, and didn't feel like we were in a stranger's home at all. This place was larger and more beautiful than the pictures show, and we were very favorably impressed. The only things that didn't work as well for us were: the smallness of the bathroom in the downstairs bedroom suite, no bathtubs for the kiddos in any bathrooms, and the amount of stuff stored in the cabinets, laundry, and closets that could use some better organization. There are tons of glassware (for weddings?), which kind of take over the kitchen, and make it difficult for the regular kitchen baking dishes/pans, mixing bowls, and additional appliances to be organized and for the kitchen to be efficient. Except for the large kitchen peninsula, which was great for serving meals buffet style, there was not a lot of kitchen counter space. There is also a lot of décor and breakables throughout the house, so we had to be careful with kiddos around. All in all, though, we would definitely stay here again, and we would love to come back in the summertime and enjoy the outdoor spaces when it's not so cold. Thank you so much, Patricia and The Bosque, for enabling us to have a wonderful family Christmas filled with memories that we will treasure!
