Charming countryside home

Natural stone house with wooden roofs.
There are three master bedrooms, a studio, two bathroom, a large kitchen very equipped, a lovely living room with fireplace. The house is furnished and equipped in order to ensure a comfortable stay (you find fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, oven, TV, Internet, hairdryer, air conditioners, heaters, wood burning stove). The garden is placed in an olive grove, there is a porticoed area, a gazebo and two large marble tables, barbecue and outdoor shower.
Surrounded by greenery the house is situated in the valley along the road from the village of Balata di Baida leading to the castle of Balata and it is a few kilometers from the most famous sea places of the area, it is ideal for a pleasant and relaxing holiday. The house is set in a strategic position to visit the most famous beauties of Western Sicily: the Zingaro Natural Reserve, Castellammare del Golfo, the Temple and the greek theater of Segesta, the Faraglioni and the beam of Scopello, Guidaloca beach, San Vito lo Capo, the ancient town of Erice, Trapani and the salt pans, the island of Mozia important archaeological site. From Trapani you can take a ferry and visit the islands Egadi. It is also well placed for visiting Marsala, Ghibellina, Selinunte, the Belice valley , but also it is not far from the other side to visit Palermo and Monreale.

Magnifique

Grande maison de pierre isolée sur les hauteurs, pleine d'âme, parfaitement équipée. Mais le plus extraordinaire c'est la liberté que l'on ressent à l'extérieur entre les différentes terrasses, à l'ombre des oliviers ou sous les citronniers ou au soleil: il y a beaucoup d'espace et partout de la nature. Et que cela sent bon au printemps, tout est en fleur, c'est magnifique. Vacances parfaites pour les amoureux d'espace vert, de jardin et de calme. Ce qui n'empêche pas de visiter la partie Ouest de la Sicile, la maison étant bien située avec tout ce qui faut à Scopello, Castellamare ou Balata.

This beautiful house is very comfortable and everything clean. surrounded with all kind of fruittree and herbs. The kids loved playing around. First evening we arrived, rosanna's mom made some delicious dinner for us. Airport, the beach and other touristic places are nearby with car. I will definitely go back there!

Quiet, spacious, friendly owners

When we arrived at the house, the owner had prepared a delicious meal and gave us a warm welcome. The environment is very quiet and the view is lovely. There is enough space inside as well as outside the house and it was clean and well-equipped, especially the kitchen. The outside shower was also very nice! We really enjoyed our stay!

Charming, lovingly-maintained and comfortable

This lovingly-maintained and charming house stands in its own olive grove, in the pretty Sicilian countryside. The owners have renovated and decorated this house in a welcoming and homely style, so that you feel like you are in a second home rather than a rental property. Comfortable bedrooms, typical Sicilian kitchen and terrace with multiple sitting- and eating-spots, overlooking the olive groves or hillside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the hospitality of Rosanna and her family. Our kids loved the great WIFI, and the family had prepared us a delicious and expansive meal on arrival, making use of seasonal local ingredients. Rosanna lives in Palermo, and was helpful and available for all our questions.

Gepflegtes Landgut im ruhigen Olivenhain

wir wurden sehr herzlich von Rosanna und ihren Eltern mit einem Abendessen begrüßt. Das Haus ist schön und funktionell eingerichtet und bietet für 6 Personen Platz. Unsere Kinder hatten eine große Freude beim Ernten und Verspeisen von Feigen und Nüssen. Die nächsten Strände sind ca. 15 Autominuten entfernt. Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt! Liebe Grüße

notre coup de coeur : maison de charme dans la nature

Très bon accueil de Rosanna et de son père. Rosanna nous attendait avec sa voiture au bar du village pour nous guider jusqu'à la maison. Chemin de terre pour y arriver mais tout à fait carrossable. Possibilité de garer plusieurs voitures dans la cour. A l'arrivée nous attendaient une corbeille de fruits avec une bouteille de vin, de quoi se faire un repas (pates et sauce dans le placard, parmesan dans le frigo), des bouteilles d'eau fraiche. La maison est retirée du centre du village, de la route, au calme, entourée d'un vaste terrain planté d'oliviers et d'arbres fruitiers (dont on peut ramasser les fruits). Pas de vis à vis, une grande terrasse à l'arrière de la maison aménagée pour y manger (accès direct de la cuisine) ou pour se reposer (petits salons en rotin), en partie couverte et avec une vue magnifique. Une douche extérieure avec eau chaude et froide (à notre disposition : shampoing et gel douche). L'intérieur de la maison est plein de charme : certains murs en pierres apparentes, meubles anciens, poutres au plafond, faïence ancienne dans la cuisine...Elle est spacieuse tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur et convient donc sans problème pour 6 personnes. Au rez de chaussée : une grande cuisine (plaques de cuisson au gaz, lave linge, lave vaisselle, four, bouilloire, cafetière italienne, vaisselle en très bon état et en quantité, produit fourni pour le lave vaisselle, produits d'entretien à disposition,....et climatisation) + un salon (grand canapé, 2 fauteuils, TV écran plat, cheminée ancienne, climatisation) + 1 chambre (lit double, très bonne literie, armoire, climatisation) + une salle d'eau récente (bidet, WC, lavabo, douche). A l'étage : 2 chambres (chacune avec 1 lit double et une armoire et la climatisation) + 1 autre salle d'eau identique à la première + un bureau Toutes les chambres et les salles d'eau ont une fenêtre équipée 'd'un moustiquaires et de volets. Le linge de maison est fournie (lits faits à l'arrivée avec des draps d'une propreté irréprochable tout comme les serviettes de toilette et serviettes de plage, nappes à disposition et torchons), serviettes en papier à disposition. La Wifi fonctionne parfaitement. Les propriétaires sont disponibles par téléphone en cas de problème technique et n'hésitent pas à se déplacer de Palerme si besoin. A voir dans la région : Palerme, Castellamare del golfo, la réserve de Zingaro, San Vito lo Capo, Scopello, Selinunte, Segestre, Erice, les salines d'Ettore et même Agrigento.

Il a été vraiment un plaisir d'avoir dans ma maison Marie-noele et sa famille. Gens aimables, pleins d'intérêts, très agréable et amoureux de la nature. Je suis ravi de les avoir rencontrés. un coup de coeur pour cette maison de charme

Très bon accueil de Rosanna et de son père. Rosanna nous attendait en voiture au bar du village pour nous montrer le chemin jusqu'à la maison. A notre disposition, pleins de petites attentions comme une bouteille de vin, une corbeille de fruits, de l'eau fraiche au frigo, pates et sauce tomate pour se préparer le premier diner, ... Que demandez de plus? La propreté est irréprochable, la literie de très bonne qualité, linge de maison fourni(lits faits à l'arrivée, serviettes de toilette et serviettes de plage sans oublier torchons, nappes,...), la wifi fonctionne parfaitement. L'environnement est magnifique (très vaste jardin arboré, vue splendide), très grande terrasse avec mobilier de jardin ( 2 coins repas et 2 salons en rotin) et un calme absolu ( la maison est retirée de la route et il n'y a pas de proximité immédiate avec le voisinage). Beaucoup de produits de première nécessité sont mis à disposition ( produits entretien, nécessaire de couture, gel douche, sucre, sel , huile...Ce que l'on retrouve rarement dans les locations de vacances! Boulangerie et boucherie au village de Balata, autres commerces à 10 km. Les photos sont tout à fait exactes, la maison a un charme fou avec ses pierres apparentes, ses poutres au plafond, son mobilier pour l'essentiel ancien, et la décoration soignée. La situation géographique est idéale pour découvrir l'Ouest de la Sicile ( Palerme, Castellamare del golfo, la réserve de Zingaro, Selinuente, Segestre, Erice, San vito lo capo, et Agrigento) Si nous devions revenir en Sicile, nous retournerons, c'est certain, chez Rosanna.

The villa was wonderful

We were only a couple but the villa would have well accommodated three couples. The surrounding garden filled with herbs, flowers, olive, fig, apple, lemon and many other fruit trees was very beautiful. The sunsets behind the mountains were extraordinary and the whole scenery from the villa was fantastic. The surroundings are very tranquil and the Balata di Baida village has a good panificio and a small bar serving very good caffè. Rosanna and her father were very pleasant and helpful. Basically only positive things to say. Maybe some good wine glasses could be added to the cupboard and the gas stove might need some tuning (some of the fires were a bit troublesome to get working).

Relax in un luogo curato nei minimi particolari

Consiglio vivamente il soggiorno nella casa Rurale. Sono stato ospite una settimana in un luogo totalmente rilassante, curato in ogni minimo dettaglio dalla proprietà che tiene moltissimo a questa abitazione e si vede...l'accoglienza è stata delle migliori con tanto di spiegazione di ogni angolo della casa fornendo consigli utili per godere al meglio del proprio soggiorno. La posizione è strategica, con qualche minuto di macchina si arriva facilmente nei luoghi di maggiore interesse di quella parte fantastica della Sicilia. Spettacolare la veranda esterna, ideale per colazioni rilassanti, aperitivi e cene in compagnia. Dovesse tornare in quella zona non esiterei a sentirmi di nuovo a casa in questo alloggio. Grazie di tutto!!!

Indimenticabile

La casa é bellissima, dotata di qualsiasi comfort, le camere sono spaziose e tutto funziona perfettamente. C'è una vista mozzafiato sulla valle e il vento, anche nelle giornate più calde, soffia e mitiga la temperatura. I proprietari, gentilissimi ed estremamente disponibili, ci hanno fornito dettagliate informazioni sui dintorni, così che potessimo sfruttare al massimo il nostro soggiorno. La casa è in campagna, a dieci minuti da spiagge splendide e servite, a pochi chilometri dalla stupenda Riserva Orientata dello Zingaro ed a meno di mezz'ora dalla Riserva Orientata del Monte Cofano, posti che da soli valgono la visita! Lontana dal caos dei paesi di mare, la casa ci ha permesso di riposare e di dimenticarci del mondo per tutta la durata della nostra vacanza. Consigliamo vivamente, senza nessuna riserva, questa Villa che ci ha preso il cuore!

"L''accueil des propriétaires est excellent. Le mari et la fille parlent français, ce qui est très utile pour préparer le séjour. La maison est très agréable, bien équipée, grande et pratique avec des enfants. Elle est située dans un environnement calme et rural. par ailleurs, on accède rapidement en voiture aux principaux sites de l''ouest de la sicile (trapani, erice, segeste, castelmare, san vito lo capo, scopello). "Een fantastisch huis, wel wat afgelegen. Maar als je dat niet erg vindt, heb je een waanzinnig uitzicht en een enorme tuin tot je beschikking. Erg rustig, dus prima slapen na een Siciliaanse bbq met verse vis. Eigenaren zijn erg vriendelijk, ze spreken een beetje engels. Van harte aanbevolen."

"We spent two weeks in this beautiful surrounding in summer 2010. This is was the most beautiful summerhouse we ever rented. It is calm surrounded by an amzing sicilian nature. You will find A rock on one side that changes its colour from grey to red during the day and fields on the other side. You will hear the cowbells, goats and the hawks during the day and tawny owls and crickets during the night.The garden surrounding the house is a small paradise with flowers and fruits you may pick up from trees. The house itself is furnished very beautiful and very personal. So you feel really home. Still today we are dreaming of this beautiful place, its light and its suroundings."
