Fantastic family vacation

This home was perfect for our family of 6. Very clean and well furnished. View was spectacular and location was great since we spent a lot of time at the Vila Franca Marina. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful home and pool looking out to the ocean. Large house for our family/friends of 6. Close to a nice beach. We had a fabulous time staying here and would recommend to others.

Beautiful Views

Beautiful home with amazing views of the Ilhéu da Vila and just a short walk to the beach. The house is lovely with plenty of room for a large group. Beautiful pool with a great outdoor and barbecue area for family gathering and relaxing. Sr. Roberto was very kind and very accommodating! Great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. We had 11 friends and family gather in this lovely home. As the weather was exceptional during our week, we spent most time gathered around the pool and patio, soaking in the incredible views and enjoying cocktails while watching the sun set. The location of this property is excellent. The house is a short stroll to Villa Franca beach, a variety of water activities and excellent eateries. Grocery shopping is a five minute drive away. Our on site amenities (barbecue, well appointed kitchen) allowed for a local chef to create an amazing dinner for our group. Our host was very responsive and helpful. He answered questions promptly to help make our stay more enjoyable. Overall, the perfect home to enjoy a glorious sunny week in Sao Miguel. We created many special memories.

First off let me say that this home is beautiful, clean and exceedingly for all of our needs! Location is great. There are 4 full baths and 5 bedrooms. We enjoyed our stay. Having said that, renters should be aware that the pictures of the house that is on this site are not pictures of the house you are getting. The house we thought we were renting has an infinity pool and is on the cliff above the beach. The owner has two homes on the property and I believe the pictures are mixed up. If you look up Homerez, that is the property we thought we were getting and this property

Vacation in paradise

From the moment we started driving around the island we were in wonder. Tropical views that quickly change to Mountain Views with cows while crossing the island. The house is tucked away in a neighborhood but you would never imagine there were neighbors as it was well secluded on the coast. House wraps around an infinity pool where you can start your morning and end your evening watching the island of Franco de campo and marina. Rooms were all good sizes and beds were comfortable. House is walking distance (10 -15 minute walk) to the local town. Easy access to the main road to venture out and visit the rest of the island. Roberto was helpful in letting us know about local restaurants and grocery stores. The trash was removed every other day and new towels deliveries by a maid throughout our stay. I would stay here again if I ever return to Sao Miguel in the future.

Maison faite pour 10 et non pour 11 ou encore moins 12 (sauf s’il y a des bébés) (et en dépit du fait qu'elle est louée pour 11 personnes moyennant un supplément !). La plupart des photos correspondent bien à la maison mais certaines correspondent à une autre maison (qui est sur deux étages alors que la maison concernée par l’annonce est sur un seul étage). Communication difficile avec le propriétaire - en partie due à une maîtrise relative de l'anglais.

wat een fantastische vakantie

locatie met uitzicht op de oceaan en haventje is geweldig. het huis bleef vochtig helaas en warm water was betrekkelijk snel op. overigens was het een prima vakantie huis met veel ruimte en mogelijkheden

Beautiful waterfront location!

Pros: Friendly host (who gave us privacy, we did not see him once after checkout), beautiful incredible views & plenty of outdoor seating (cushions could be replaced as they take a hit being outside all the time), 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, washer and dryer, great location in Vila Franca. Cons: Ant issue in some of the rooms, bedding and some furniture in the rooms smelled very musty, the oven and stove shocked us anytime we cooked anything. As some reviews mentioned, it was difficult to communicate with the host in a timely manner, but definitely not a cause for alarm. An instruction book or house manual regarding checkout etc., would have been helpful. Overall, an enjoyable stay for 4 women in their mid 30s. The weather was rainy all week which didn’t allow for much pool time as we had hoped, so it would have been nice if the indoor area wasn’t as musty, we’ll just have to return and hope for a week full of sunshine!!

Family vacation

Beautiful property, amazing views and pool. Perfect for our large family vacation for 11. Check in and out process not conventional, not great communication from owner on times/process. Overall I would highly recommend for a large group. The pool, number of bathrooms/bedrooms, privacy and views were well worth it. It would have been very helpful if there was an owners guide for use of washer/dryer, and for local sites/restaurants, etc.

Beautiful house

The house was beautiful, the view from the terrace and the pool are amazing. It really is just like the pictures on the website. We enjoyed just lazing around and swimming combined with exploring the island. Great stay!

Lovely visit

Roberto was a kind host. He was a little difficult to reach, but nothing to worry about. The house itself was lovely on the exterior, just as in the photos. The interior needs updating on the walls and floors. All appliances worked just fine. Overall, I would recommend, but don't expect great luxury.

We were a group of 9 people. There was plenty of room for all of us to sleep comfortably. The pool is lovely but it was too cold to swim in at the time of year we were there. We still spent time outside by the pool enjoying the views of the ocean. All the conveniences in the kitchen were available. As well as a washer and dryer for clothes

Beautiful View and Pool!

I loved my stay at this villa. Let’s start with the view; it is incredible! It overlooks Ilheu da Vila, with Vila Franca do Campo to the right. The pool has a beautiful blue tile with an infinity edge. Frankly, I could have just lounged around by the pool for a week and called it a successful vacation. But, do go out and see the island, as it is very beautiful. You should know that the listing’s description for the number of bedrooms and bathrooms is incorrect. Rather than “zero” bathrooms, it has at least three full bathrooms. I believe it has four bedrooms, rather than five, but I may be misremembering that as there were only two of us (and we only needed one). The interior of the house is well appointed, with nice décor and nice surfaces/finishes. A previous reviewer complained about a lack of pantry items (e.g., spices, paper towels, etc.), but I did not find it to be different from other villas I’ve rented in Europe. Those items are typically not provided. Roberto was easy to work with and very accommodating. When you consider the location, view, pool and number of bedrooms and bathrooms, this villa is a great value. If I come back to Sao Miguel, I would most certainly rent this house again.

Beautiful Ocean View

I would like to start by saying that Sao Miguel is breathtakingly beautiful and the ocean view from the house was no exception. The pool was a welcome spot after a hot day of sightseeing. We arrived a bit early and had to wait a few minutes for the house to be prepared for our stay. Roberto was very attentive and quickly dealt with issues that would arise. He gave us a quick tour of the house and explained how to use the appliances etc. What struck me first was that the house is in need of some TLC. The exit to the pool screens needed to be repaired or replaced and some of the furniture both inside and out should be replaced. The hot weather meant that we had to leave the doors open and had issues with flying insects etc. We also had a difficult time locking the doors and often would leave them unlocked. I've rented many properties over the years and understand that there are different expectations when it comes to kitchen supplies, but was surprised to find that there was nothing in terms of staples available, we had to go to the local market to purchase salt, sugar, paper towels and napkins etc. Also wasn't happy with the level of clean in the bathrooms, the corners of the tub/shower stalls were dark with mildew and the edges of the faucets were also dark. The most disappointing was the "grill", I was surprised that there wasn't a propane grill, only a rough stone bbq with a rusted grill that hadn't been cleaned. Limiting all our meals to be prepared on the stove. The stove took some getting used to, as it was convection and wouldn't work unless a certain type of pot was used, so my little expresso maker couldn't be used on it. All the other appliances were great and very clean. The house was large and generally comfortable with wifi etc. We liked to walk from the house into Villa Franca and it was only a few minute walk to a lovely dark sand beach. Grocery shopping was also a short 5 minute drive away. The house and it's location was perfect for adults, I would not recommend this house if you have small children. There is a major drop from the edge of the property beyond the pool with no fence or any safety. When walking into town there are spots with no sidewalks making it dangerous for children. Although we had some issues, we enjoyed our stay and I would have rated the property higher if the screens weren't is such bad shape. I would spend each morning at the edge of the property overlooking the ocean and fishing port below. Loved it!

Excellent holiday

This villa is fantastic, seven of us got back today, we had a amazing time. The jacuzzi in the master room is amazing, more so with a glass of wine watching the sun set. Everything you need is here. The only thing that we didn't appreciate was the constant visits from the owner and them entering the villa when we was all out, however, I do understand why he does this as the property is so amazing, he doesn't want it ruined. Fantastic villa would recommend to anyone. Donna Flanagan

Es war traumhaft

Für unsere Azorenreise Mitte März suchten wir eine Unterkunft. Es sollte auf jeden Fall ein Ferienhaus sein und es gibt jede Menge schöner und interessanter Objekte auf der Insel...zu guten Preisen ...in der Nebensaison...(finde ich :-)). Wir hatten uns ursprünglich für ein ländliches, kleineres Haus entschieden und bekamen dann vom Vermieter dieses Objektes ein Angebot, dass wir nicht ablehnen konnten. Wann hat man schon mal die Möglichkeit auf 400qm, mit Pool und Hanglage, direkt am Atlantik zu übernachten!? Wir konnten unser Glück nicht fassen und waren etwas skeptisch, ob es bei der ganzen Sache noch einen Haken geben würde...gabs aber nicht! Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter (Roberto) klappte einwandfrei und unkompliziert. Wir kamen am späten Abend in Ponta Delgada an und Roberto empfing uns direkt am Flughafen und fuhr mit uns ins Haus und zeigte uns alles. Es war sehr angenehm und wie gesagt..unkompliziert! Wir sahen unsere Vermieter die ganze Woche nicht, hätten aber sicher jederzeit Hilfe oder Rat bekommen. Die Villa hat einen sehr interessanten und modernen Stil. Der Aussenbereich ist großzügig und der Blick auf den Hafen von Vila Franca do Campo sehr schön! Ein Highlight hatten wir idR gleich morgens, wenn wir Frühstück auf der Terrasse vor dem Pool aßen...mit Blick auf den Ozean...es war einfach nur grandios! Wir waren zu dritt und hatten so viel Platz und es war ein Genuss jeden Abend von unseren anstrengenden Touren nach Hause zu kommen und den Abend auf der Terrasse ausklingen zu lassen. Eine bessere Unterkunft hätten wir uns nicht wünschen können und ohne Übertreibung war das sicher auch die beste Unterkunft, die ich in einem Urlaub je hatte. Es gab ein paar kleine Abweichungen von der Beschreibung (Solarium, Garage fehlten,..3 statt 5 Bäder..keine Heizung!), aber das hat uns nicht gestört..wir waren einfach nur glücklich in unserer Villa. Internet ist da...Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine...Fernseher..3 Bäder (eines mit Badewanne). Dass die Heizung fehlt, hat uns zuerst etwas erschreckt, da wir nie mehr als 20 Grad hatten und es nachts bis 11-12 Grad kalt wird...aber das hat uns im Nachhinein eigentlich nicht gestört. Wir haben drinnen nie gefroren...und in der wärmeren Jahreszeit ist das ja überhaupt kein Problem. Unser Fazit ist: Mit dieser Villa macht man alles richtig! Es war eine ausgezeichnete Entscheidung und wir hatten einfach nur eine traumhafte Zeit in Vila Franca do Campo und überhaupt auf der ganzen Insel!

«A casa é excelente e conrrespondeu às expectativas. A vista é magnifica sobre o Oceano e como pano de fundo, o ilhéu a não perder.Para umas férias em grupo esta é a casa ideal e recomenda-se. A ilha é deslumbrante e mereceu todos os dias da minha estadia. Pela beleza e pela forma como a mesma é cuidada o povo de São Miguel está de parabéns. A todos o meu obrigado, pela beleza que eu e o meu grupo de amigos pudemos desfrutar durante a nossa estadia.»
