Great time in Furnas!

We initially had some challenges getting ahold of the manager when checking in, but that was resolved. It was close to many sights and a short walk to a small grocery store, which was really convenient. Would stay at this property again!

We had a very enjoyable stay overall. What we loved most was the setting: the property is surrounded by nature, with spectacular grounds, incredible views and a wonderful sense of peace and privacy. We also loved the location in Furnas, close to Terra Nostra and a great base for exploring São Miguel by car.The house was generally in good condition, but there were two things to improve. From the beginning, the indoor bathroom had a small water leak. It was manageable at first, but after several consecutive uses it became much worse. There is also an outdoor bathroom, but as we were eight people, this was eventually a significant inconvenience. We reported it to the owner, but it took two days to respond. By then, we only had one day left, so there was little point in arranging a repair. We would also suggest clarifying the heated pool in the description. The water was perfect for the first three days, but then became quite cold for both children and adults. The heating cannot be controlled during the summer months, and with temperatures around 17–24C and little sunshine, the pool could not maintain a warm temperature.Apart from this issue, communication with the owner was very good. He was always kind, friendly and considerate, and made us feel very welcome. Despite the issues mentioned, we had a very positive experience and especially loved the location, nature, grounds, views and peaceful atmosphere. A beautiful place to stay in Furnas.

Absolutely stunning grounds with beautiful views in the spacious backyard. It was incredible to feel that private yet be 3 -5 minute walk to Terra Nostra park, restaurants and groceries. The owner was very thoughtful leaving some fruit, milk, bread and cookies for us. We all loved this property and enjoyed exploring the area. Would love to come back!

A Fabulous Stay in Furnas

Our family (with four teens) truly enjoyed this house in Furnas. The home was spotless, comfortable & newly updated. The owner was very kind and responsive during our stay. The private yard surrounding the property is spectacular. Our family's highlight was the large backyard pool. We spent many hours soaking in the warm saltwater pool with hot tub jets. It was a great way to end the day after exploring around Sao Miguel. This is a wonderful rental home.

Nicest place in town

We stayed at Vila Vista Vida for around 10 days and had everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped, the seperate winter garden house is great for bbqs and even when It's a bit colder you can take a dip in the heated pool. The property and the surrounding garden are very well maintained and there is a teamthat comes and cleanes everything every few days. Including a change of towels and bedsheets. All in all I truly recommend this amazing place. Thanks for the great stay and memories.

Amazing spot

We had a wonderful week here as 2 families with kids. The property and setting are stunning—it was hard to make ourselves leave! The house had everything we needed for a great week in Furnas, and the host was incredibly generous and responsive (though we didn’t really encounter any problems). Even though there isn’t a pool gate, the pool is situated far enough from the house that the kids were able to respect our rule not to go near it without an adult. Excited to come back!

Beautiful

This property was perfect. The grounds, pool and home were lovely. The only difficulty was that there were no instructions given to enter the property. We were able to contact the owner directly. Once we spoke with him it went smoothly to get in. The location was perfect. A little on the outskirts of the town, but still walking distance to restaurants and attractions. I highly recommend!!

Horrible experience DO NOT STAY HERE!!

The property was not ready when we arrived. No one reached out to us on how to get the keys. There was a gardener there so we pulled in. He was leaving and hit our car with my kids still in it. The pool was cloudy so we never used it. It's listed as two baths but one is outside and the shower drain is plugged so we only had the one shower. I am still trying to reach out to the owner but no one will answer me. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

A little slice of paradise steps away from the center of Furnas. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Vila Vista Vale. The house is beautifully decorated, and the grounds and pool are heavenly. Any questions or issues we had were answered or addressed to our satisfaction promptly by the host. We would happily stay again at this property.

The house is exactly as described and pictured in the listing. We traveled with 4 adults and 4 children on a recent family holiday and had an amazing time staying there for a week! We were welcomed with fresh fruit and a few snacks and drinks which were great after a long day/night of traveling. There is a grocery store, the hot springs, and multiple restaurants within walking distance. Our first night there we had an issue with the electric, and were very happy with how quickly the host responded to the matter and helped us get things back up and running despite it being after 2200. I also needed help finding something for our rental car and reached out to the host for advice and he was more than helpful in giving us directions to get what we needed. All the amenities needed for our trip to feel like a paradise version of a home away from home were there. The thing I will mention is that the mattresses are very firm which I’m not use to, however, this was not an issue for me as I slept very well every night. I hope to return in the future!
