The Thomas Jarrett House circa 1894 has been meticulously restored with all original hardwood floors, woodwork and windows. The Home is listed on the National Historic Register. This 4 bedroom 3 full bath dream home features a professional style gas range, 2 ovens, stainless appliances, an espresso and cappuccino maker and more. it is truly a chefs kitchen. This 2 story home has wonderful outdoor living areas; 2 downstairs covered porches, a beautiful brick patio and 1 upper veranda. It also has a large fully fenced yard. This home has 6 fireplaces, 10 foot ceilings on main level 9 foot on 2nd, claw foot tubs, flatscreens, wifi and more.

The Jarrett House is a few short steps from over a dozen of Asheville's top restaurants and pubs including Sunny Point Cafe, Jargon, The Oyster House Brewing Company, Nengs Jr., Universal Joint Nine Mile. and more. Want ice cream? Asheville's best The Hop Ice Cream is also a few steps away. There are a few great mucic venues, also a short stroll away.

Not only can you spend the day walking around town, you'll also be surrounded by mountains and waterfalls and close to several outdoor actives. Ride bikes to the beautiful French Broad River just over a mile away where you can tube, kayak, canoe or just walk along the river. Spend the day Zip Lining just 1.7 miles away, where you will also find whitewater rafting outfitters, treetops adventure, climbing, and rappelling. Some of the worlds best mountain biking is just 6 miles from your door. You can also spend the day at The Biltmore Estate just 3.8 miles away. Blue Ridge Parkway is 6.2 miles away, take a nice ride!

We loved the location and absolute charm of our stay. It was a great home base for our girl’s getaway. We were surprised that one of the listed queen beds was actually an air mattress. We had to adjust our sleeping arrangements, but we made it work. Overall it was a great stay.

Our group of five ladies spent an unforgettable Labor Day weekend at this gorgeous historic rental and we couldn’t have picked a better base camp for our Asheville adventures. The house is very spacious giving five adult women plenty of room to spread out without ever feeling cramped. The den provided flexible sleeping options with a highly comfortable couch, perfect for resting and there is also plenty of room in the den to set up a blowup mattress. Our host Mitch was very accommodating and the property detail post gave many wonderful recommendations on restaurants and places to go. Just a sneak peek of places we visited in Asheville -the Biltmore Estates took up most of one day we went to the Omni Grove Park Inn and had brunch and walked around the gorgeous property. Places we dined were the El Tesoro in downtown and we went to a jazz speakeasy at the Fitz & The Wolfe club. We ate breakfast at the Rabbit Hole and at Biscuit Head and we had wonderful Indian food at Chai Pani. Asheville is definitely a place who would love to come back and visit.

We LOVED this house. It's a must stay. Easy to lots of cool places in West Asheville area. We made the easy walk to grocery store (all sidewalk) to buy what we wanted to cook during our stay.Highly recommend and we will come back to stay.

The home is beautifully restored; the beds and linens are top notch. The master suite is private and spacious. We didn't cook on our long weekend, but the kitchen was well appointed. We appreciated the owner's restaurant recommendations and tried many of the ones within walking distance

First, this home is on the historic register and you must realize that comes with squeaks and groans from old age. The plumbing and electrical systems have all been upscaled and the home has "Great Bones". Truly a pleasure to stay there , even had their own resident pair of rabbits, one of which greeted us every time we went out. Fantastic location as you were within 2-3 blocks of probably 20 restaurants and/or bars. You literally can spend a week without getting in your car. Owners were very responsive and professional. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at The Thomas Jarrett House! The home is beautiful, spacious, and full of historic charm, while being tastefully updated with all the modern comforts.Everything was exceptionally clean, and the décor and lighting beautifully complemented the historic character of the house while still feeling current and comfortable. The bedrooms were spacious with wonderfully soft bedding, and the large bathrooms were well stocked with plush oversized towels, soaps, shampoos, and everything we needed.The kitchen is large and very well equipped, including two types of coffee makers and coffee, and we especially enjoyed the charming breakfast nook. There’s plenty of space between the neighboring homes, so the house felt private and was surprisingly quiet with very little street noise. We also used the inflatable mattress and were impressed—it was high quality, easy to use, and very comfortable.The location is excellent, with so many great Asheville restaurants just minutes away and a grocery store within easy walking distance. The host was wonderful to work with and very responsive to all of my questions.We had a fantastic stay and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

This was an awesome, eccentric, trip back in time! We loved this house! The walkabilty to all the restaurants and shopping cant be beat either, it was everything we were looking and hoped for. Great family getaway

The house was the perfect place for a family getaway for my grown children and infant grandchildren. The layout was great for the family and the house was very nice and well stocked. The location was convenient to everywhere. We would definitely rent it again.

Amazing experience! I rented this beautiful home for the weekend as a Christmas present for my parents. To call this home beautiful is an understatement! Chalked full of history and charm. The owners have done a great job and you can feel the love and intention that has been poured into it. I encourage everyone to read the history on this home because it is fascinating. The host was communicative and great to work with. 10/10 experience. We plan to come back soon!

Long weekend in Asheville!
