Why Melinda Hughes chose Driggs
Owners love the mountains! The Tetons are still breathtaking after 25 years. Hike, ski, fish, it never gets old. Beauty and splendor With every trail, every mountain. The cabin is inviting and perfect for relaxing after one of our adventures. It just has a really good feel to it. It's all about the ambiance. The cabin sits at the base of the magnificent Grand Teton and Teton Range. We are located ten miles downslope of Grand Targhee ski lodge and Targhee National Forest. Many big adventures and breath taking views await! We hope our lodging enhances your stay. It starts with the mountains, resides in your soul, and becomes a part of your stay.
What makes this Cabin unique
Wood, leather and antlers. The cabin's rustic elegance makes it very inviting and comfortable. The fireplace and the two living rooms that connect to the kitchen are awesome. The leather swivel chairs and all the decor set the theme for mountain living. It's an inviting and relaxing place to come home to after a day on the mountain. I love to wrap up in a blanket and have coffee on the front porch.

Great Log Cabin in a Beautiful Place
This is a great place to stay. Many thanks to the owners Steve & Melinda. They are very gracious and very responsive to any issue that might arise. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Glad that you guys enjoyed the cabin as much as we do. I just wish I'd have been up there too to witness the eclipse from the Tetons!
Hope to see you again,
We had a great time at Targhee Cabin. Melinda and Steve were wonderful hosts. The cabin had everything we needed. We had a great time going to The Tetons, Yellowstone, fishing in Teton Creek, and watching the Teton Valley Rodeo. There were 4 adults and 4 kids. We had plenty of space to stretch out. Had a great time!
We really like our cabin and we love sharing it with others who enjoy it, and the mountains, as much as we do. Thanks for the awesome review!
Comfortable stay but lacking in amenities.
This was a great house for the six of us attending a wedding at the Grand Targee resort. Tried the gas fireplace but it didn't work. The television was also a no go, and the ice machine worked only once in a while. Called the manager and was told the fireplace had been having issues and that the refrigerator had just been replace six months ago. I just wanted her to know what things weren't working. The house itself was nice and clean, beds were comfortable and the interior was nicely furnished. Would stay again if the issues above were taken care of.
NICE LOG HOME! QUITE AND RELAXING TO RETURN TO AFTER A DAY OF ADVENTURE
II found everything I needed for a week stay here. Melinda is very helpful with ideas and places to see and good suggestions on eats. Driggs is a small town 8 miles down the road there is Victor and not to far Wilson. Each one of these towns also has places to eat and light shopping. then of course Jackson is just an hour away for serious shopping. I will be back for another visit in a few years.
Perfect base for exploring Yellowstone/Jackson Hole area
This is a large, beautiful home, well maintained and well laid out for renting. It is in a neighborhood but is quiet and private with lots of trees. We had a group of 6 adults and used this as our base to visit Yellowstone, 4 wheeling from Alpine into Bridger National Forest, horseback riding around Hoback, rafting down the Snake, and biking in Jackson up to Teton National Park. We couldn't have asked for a better home: reasonably priced, convenient to all of our exploring, great kitchen for preparing meals, very nice setting. Owner was very accessible to answer all our questions and provided great tips for restaurants and activities. Our group was unanimous- we would return and rent this home again without a second thought. We really loved this home and would highly recommend it.
We love our guest! It's always good to hear their stories and know they had a happy stay while adventuring in the Tetons.
Corny but I always feel like we've bonded just s little! Lol
My family loved the feel of this cabin. The logs, bricks and antler chandelier are very rustic. The kids loved the loft. We had two families, 4 adults and 6 children and there was plenty of space for everyone. I liked that it was secluded and you felt alone in the forest. I was very comfortable with the kids playing in and exploring the yard. I was happy to find a firebowl by the garage--perfect for a s'mores roast. We were in walking distance of a creek. The cabin is close to Driggs and the largest grocery store in the area. While staying at the cabin we did day trips to Yellowstone Park, Jenny Lake in Teton National Park, Green Canyon Hot Springs, Jackson Hole, Spencer Opal Mine, Teton Raptor Center and we went fishing near Victor. Beautiful valley with adventure everywhere!
Located in the heart of Yellowstone country, the area boast the quiet side of the Teton Mountains where views are unmatched and the feeling of true west and rocky mountains is experienced without all the tourist and mecca of the city. Relax in quiet or adventure out and see breath taking views of wildlife and pristine mountains. The Grand Tetons tower over the valley and offer profound experiences in each canyon, surrounded by thousands of acres of wilderness. Grizzlies, moose and wolves abound so be wise in your outings.
