  • Beautiful and Relaxing

"We loved our stay at Shadow's Den. The home is beautiful and very functional. A lovely master suite on the main floor with queen bed, another nice bedroom with double bed and connected bath on main floor, downstairs large second suite with king bed, and a third floor loft with twin beds accommodated 7 adults (2 parents, 1 grandparent and 4 adult children ages 20-27) with our 20 year old son choosing to sleep on a very comfy couch downstairs so he could have his own space. The house was clean, comfortable and surrounded by beautiful quaking aspens. A lovely, soft breeze blew much of the time ruffling the leaves (Aspens are my new, favorite tree!) Enjoyed hearing the birds singing outside our room each morning. Lovely wrap around porches with plenty of options for enjoying the view and the gorgeous surroundings. The kitchen is quite nice with plenty of pots, pans, etc. We grilled steaks outside on a deluxe gas barbecue and enjoyed a built in indoor grill for bacon and pancakes. We did encourage the property manager to add some bowls to their available dishes and to fix the freezer which was difficult to open and close. We enjoyed day trips into Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone and Jackson Hole. Went horseback riding (including my 87 year old mom!) at Teton Mountain Ranch right there in Victor and had a wonderful, memorable ride. The guys went fly fishing in Ashton and enjoyed it except for the mosquitos. Wear long sleeves and put on lots of mosquito repellent! Enjoyed the tiny towns of Driggs and Victor. Discovered a little museum in Driggs about the area and would highly recommend stopping by. The museum is simple, but effectively done for a quick overview of the area. Ate at a couple of delicious restaurants in Driggs and Victor (Forage and Sherwoods Post) and had the "can't be missed" huckleberry shakes at the Emporium in Victor. And we fell in love with the stunning, open countryside of both Idaho and Wyoming. The National parks are remarkably picturesque. We hiked, saw bison, elk, deer and other wildlife, experienced Old Faithful in full display and enjoyed visiting Yellowstone Inn and Jackson Lake Lodge. A fabulous family vacation and returning each evening to Shadows Den was a real treat and a relaxing retreat. We even spent a couple of days just chilling at the house doing a puzzle, playing games, reading or hiking up the road. We woukd love to return someday and continue to explore this amazing part of America."

  • Ben has a beatiful, well kept home in a perfect location.

"Bens home was in perfect condition. We had 11 people in our party including small children. He has a large lawn area as well as a nice pond. There was alot of room for the kids to run around. The living area was large and handled 11 of us well. Bedrooms were ample and the 2 bathrooms with double sinks worked fine for all of us. Ben lived in a cottage on the bback side of the property and was available for any concerns. Shopping was close and Jackson hole was on 30 minute drive over the mountain. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. We hope to come back in the future."

  • Ideal for stay

"We stayed at the house for three nights while visiting the Grand Tetons and it was a perfect fit for us. It is a beautiful residence with everything needed to make a stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our teenagers (as well as the parents!) found the extras at the house pool tables, darts and hot tub to be the thing which the doctor ordered after a long day at the park. It is about an hour from the park but this would not detract us from staying there again if in the area we would be elated to use this wonderful home again. The owners had plenty of information readily available for visitors to use, would be easy to contact if needed and I would easily recommend this place for family and friends who would be in the area."

  • We will be back

"This was our 9th annual family reunion. Six of those have been in the Driggs/VIctor area which have decided is our favorite. Each home before has had some very nice features but always something that kept us from booking another year. Not so this time. The house was big enough for 13 (and would have handled the 15 we had planned for when reserving). It had a dining area that would seat everyone (although the 3 older grandkids really liked sitting at the bar); enough dishes, glasses etc., for the whole group; many more spices and staples than most of our rentals; and wonderful outdoor areas. We did use the bikes that are available and next year hope to be organized enough to get the kayaks out. Having a tv area separate from the main living area is important for us (grandma and grandpa especially :-) ) but actually rented this home without knowing there was a great area upstairs for the tv watchers so we were happily surprised. But beyond all the attributes of the home was the quick response by Peter to any question or situation. We had an issue that when I contacted him was immediately addressed and he followed up with us to make sure it was resolved. Some of the group was lucky enough to see a cow moose one morning and we could hear the sandhill cranes in the evening. We will definitely return."
