About the property

Borrego Palms is a duplex with a Main House and Studio surrounded by desert.

This is a studio that is attached to the Main House, which is also rented out. The property sits on the edge of the Anza Borrego desert, near Borrego Springs, CA. It has A/C, a queen bed and looks to the north over some beautiful mountains. It is 5 minutes away from the Galleta Meadows scuptures, and less than 1/2 hour from Coyote Canyon, Palm Canyon and Fonts Point. The Salton Sea is about 1/2 an hour away, and the highlights of Salvation Mountain and the Mud Volcanoes are another 45 minutes from there.

Charming Desert Oasis/Paradise With Magnificent View of the Stars... And Much More!

  • 5 of 5

The photos do not do the interior of this charming studio justice. Plus the description and the photos do not convey how helpful and pleasant the host Dennis is. We had trouble with our car and he was enormously kind and considerate and saved the day for us. We also met the owner Eric who is brilliant thoughtful generous and extremely knowledgeable about the area. They are both a real delight. We couldnt have asked to meet nicer people! The studio is quite spacious and well designed in the layout. The wi-fi was fine with no problems and we put it through its paces! But beyond the obvious there is a nearby structure on the property with a staircase which takes you to a higher vantage point for watching sunrise, sunset and the amazing display of stars at night. Plus the studio guests have full use of the pool for sunbathing and swimming. What a win! Just an incredible 3 day vacation that we so much wished could have been a week! We are hesitant even to write this positive review as we want this place to ourselves! But we know that right now we can only visit now and then... so come and get it and enjoy it! BTW re the water heater and the shower... you just got to wait awhile. Once the hot water comes on it is a good temperature. We both love hot showers and we were fine with it! PS Borrego Springs really does close at 9 pm. That means ALL of the stores. So get what you need BEFORE 9 pm at night! We learned that the hard way lol.

Owner's Response: Wow, what kind words! Thank you and you know you are always welcome back (just don't come back in summer as it will be 120 degrees!). Thanks, Eric

Good home base for exploring the desert and it's flowers

  • 4 of 5

There was a lot of rain this year, so the desert flowers were wonderful. And what better way to do the desert than to stay several days in a little apartment for home base. Dennis and his sweet dog were very helpful with any glitches encountered, and we had a very nice stay.

Little Gem

We were very pleased with this very peaceful, cozy, comfortable place and hope to come back. It's close enough to town but has a private, away from it all, feel with great views of the mountains when you step out on the patio and pool area. It is a small pool, great to cool off in on a hot day. It is a perfect studio size for 1 or 2 people. Dennis is a very personable, friendly manager.

We rented this casita for our adult daughter. She was delighted when she saw it! The casita has large windows

with beautiful views and very quiet surroundings. The Internet connection worked for her ( a little slow ), but it

was okay, it gave her time to relax. Our daughter would love to come back next year.

Dennis , the property manager, is a jewel, so pleasant, friendly and helpful!

My stay at this studio in Borrego Springs can only be described as magical. I came here to find quiet and be away from cities and noise and droves of people. The place itself surpassed my expectations. It is a warm, cozy, clean, quiet and spacious studio, equipped with everything one would need to feel at home away from home. The house backs up to the mountains which gives one an expansive and open view. There is an on-sight manager who is friendly, available and most helpful without being intrusive. He offered me a tour of the town, collected mail for me, kept me informed of what was going on that might interest a traveler, and is an amazing musician to boot, hosting the open mic night at the local restaurant. The property is perfectly located to find quiet while being close to the little town. Because my experience was so positive here, I will come back to Borrego Springs again and again. Everyone I met was unusually friendly and helpful and happy! I am very grateful for the wonderful accommodations and warm welcome I found here.

This rental is part of a duplex, the other half of which is a studio. It is nearby the town of Borrego Springs, CA, which has many art galleries, the state park visitor center, and other activities. It is also very close to the Galleta Meadows sculptures. We have our own YouTube Channel, where you can see more about Borrego Palms Desert Vacation Home and the Borrego Springs area in general. Also, we do not allow inside pets. It is due to an allergy of the owner's son, so we cannot make exceptions. Sorry about that! Please note: we do NOT accept foreign checks (way too many scammers) so if you want to stay here, please book through VRBO.
