The view here is beautiful, but unfortunately that wasn't enough to make up for the amenities themselves.
We stayed here for spring break March 2019, so we feel we payed a premium for a place that didn't nearly justify it for our family of 4, which included kids aged 11 and 9. Had the pricing been significantly less, we would have had lower expectations.
Several things we didn't realize when booking this were:
- loud music until at least 1am, which can be heard clearly in the room with the 2 twin beds
- not a kitchen for cooking. ie, only 4 forks, minimal cooking utensils, no basic seasonings like salt and pepper. We actually had to wash all the dishes before using them, as many had caked on food stuck to them.
- couldn't actually go into the water by the condo as water level was high and waves roughly crashing against the rocks. We love being in the water and going for walks daily, so not easily being able to access the water and dealing with a party crowd when trying to go for a walk was not enjoyable
- king bed in master bedroom was 2 twin beds together, and 1 was about an inch higher than the other
While we loved our time in Barbados and the other condo where we spent a week, I would not return to the St Lawrence Gap area as a family.
