We were in Ketchum for the total solar eclipse, and a reunion of long time friends and family. Not only was this the loveliest, best equipped condo we have ever stayed in, it was right across the street from a forest service park where we had great viewing of the eclipse.
You can walk to everything, two markets, restaurants, library, parks, movie theater, Sun Valley, the gondola, hiking trails, Hemingway's grave; you never have to drive anywhere.
Friends from the Seattle area brought fresh caught crab and their crackers, picks and butter cups and the condo had a fabulous outdoor deck so we did not have to risk and crab parts being left anywhere in the kitchen or dining room. The gourmet kitchen was so well equipped it even had a zester!
We did drive out to the Sawtooth Botanical Garden, a must see in the area, it even has a garden blessed by the Dali Lama in 2006.
The owner could not have been nicer or more helpful, which made it a perfect vacation. We would not think of staying anywhere else when we visit Ketchum.
