Our "Villa Tonnara" is the only villa in all of San Vito located only 20 meters from the sea. It has a private terrace exclusively for our guests with a stunning view of the sea. From the terrace and all the bedrooms you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama. The villa is surrounded by a garden and Mediterranean pines, immersed in silence and looking over the bay with deep blue waters. Our white cottage was built in the 70es in the old part of Tonnara, with a very small number of constructions in the surrounding area.
The villa is located at 3 km from the city center and its famous beach, but also only 10 minutes by car from the Natural Reserve dello Zingaro. It resides in an area with 5 other, small buildings, which are surrounded by pine trees that help moderate the Sicilian Summer and serve as a great playground for kids, or as a place to relax underneath the trees for grownups.
There is also a grill in the villa so you can enjoy the summer nights with a rich fish barbecue, and for those who love to idle there's an inviting hammock on the terrace.
The house is composed of 3 bedrooms, two of which are furnished with double beds and the other with two single beds, 2 bathrooms with showers, a kitchen and a spacious living room with a dining table. A bed for a seventh person can be added upon request in one of the double bedrooms. One room has an independent entrance, bathroom and terrace exclusively for its occupants.
The terrace with its panoramic view of the gulf represents one of the villa's major assets, and the dining table can comfortably accommodate up to 8 persons. A small terrace on the back offers a shaded area at times; a precious refuge during the sunshine hours. The entire cottage is surrounded by a large garden reaching up to the co-owned pine woods, where children can play undisturbed.
Our guests will enjoy all comforts during their stay: free Wi-Fi internet, satellite TV, DVD with Dolby Surround System, washing machine and a dishwasher.

Very charming villa, perfectly located in a quiet surrounding. Directly at the sea with a private spot to jump straight into the sea. Lovely garden with a lot of spots to sit, releaxe and have a nice bbq. Really enjoyed our stay.

Blissful beach house on water

The situational setting of this property is spectacular. Beautiful garden, direct access to the sea (maybe not so accessible for children) and the balcony view watching fishing and tourist boats cross the bay to the Marine park. Heaven. The house is well stocked, especially the kitchen. A km or so from St Capo town. Communication with the property team was excellent. If you want to explore Western Sicily (Erice, Trapani etc), the one road in and out from the highway can feel repetitive - you wouldn't want to do it everyday. But St Capo Lo Vito is so spectacular you don't need to. Two little points - the 3rd bedroom with ensuite is actually separate from the main house, which isn't clear from the descriptor (great for adults). And a little English translations of instructions would not go amiss (recycling days for example). Otherwise a very happy and satisfying experience. Highly recommended!

Una meravigliosa finestra sul mare

Un soggiorno davvero rilassante in una location fantastica con una vista incredibile sul mare . La cosa che si apprezza di più di questa struttura è la posizione unica, con accesso privato al mare e una piattaforma di legno per prendere il sole sugli scogli, e tuffarsi direttamente da lì . Per accedervi, a circa 3 km dal centro abitato di San Vito, in direzione riserva dello zingaro, si entra in un parco nel quale sono presenti altre 4 abitazioni, semi nascoste dalla vegetazione, e tutte con affaccio diretto alla scogliera e quindi al mare. Tutto molto riservato, nessuna vicinanza fastidiosa, silenzio, relax puro. La casa è dotata di ogni comfort, anche se basterebbe quella bellissima terrazza sul mare a dare il piacere di una vacanza davvero rilassante. Ringrazio Antonio per la cortesia e per le informazioni date sempre tempestivamente, e ringrazio Celeste per l'ottima accoglienza e per la disponibilità . Spero di poter ritornare un giorno.

Eine tolle Woche Urlaub!

Wir waren Anfang Oktober mit unseren Kids (insg. 4 Personen) für eine Woche in der „Villa Tonnara“. Wir haben den Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen. Die Lage und vor allem der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist ein Traum! Man hat morgens einen direkten Ausblick auf den Sonnenaufgang – einen Morgen hatten wir sogar das Glück, das wir Delphine im Wasser vor uns (ca. 100m entfernt) gesehen haben. Am Meerzugang, durch die vielen Felsen, haben wir uns bei größerem Wellengang nicht wirklich getraut ins Wasser zu gehen. Aber wenn das Wasser halbwegs ruhig ist, kommt man super in und ans Wasser und kann direkt vor dem Haus einen Sprung ins kühle Nass wagen. Die Wassertemperatur war auch im Oktober noch absolut schön! Möchte man nur die Ruhe und das Meeresrauschen genießen ist das Sonnendeck, auf das man über einen kleinen Brettersteg kommt, ein toller Platz, um die Zeit zu vergessen. Am Haus gibt es eine große Terrasse mit Tisch, Bänken und Stühlen. Neben dem Haus ist noch ein Grillplatz und ein weiterer kleiner Tisch mit zwei Klappstühlen. Es gibt eine feste Hängematte und auch einen zweiten Platz für eine Hängematte. Im „Untergeschoss“ gibt es noch einmal eine Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer. Das Haus an sich ist sauber, ausreichen groß und schön ausgestattet. Die Küche scheint neu zu sein und ist absolut toll ausgestattet (Gas-Kochfeld, Backofen, Mikrowelle, großer Kühlschrank mit Eisfach, selbst Gewürze und viele Koch- und Backutensilien). Selbstversorgung ist hier ohne Probleme machbar. Zum nächsten Supermarkt oder Bäcker fährt man ein paar Minuten nach San Vito Lo Capo wo man alles bekommt, was man braucht. Das Zimmer im Untergeschoss haben wir nicht gebraucht, sah aber auch superschön aus und könnte auch einzeln (dann ohne Küche) genutzt werden. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter vorab und kurz vor der Ankunft war klasse und ich denke er wäre auch während der ganzen Zeit jederzeit erreichbar gewesen. Da aber alles in bester Ordnung gab es keinen Grund für uns hier Kontakt aufzunehmen. Alles in allem können wir die „Villa Tonnara“ nur sehr empfehlen, es ist zwar vielleicht etwas teurer als vergleichbarere Objekte aber für uns war sie perfekt!

Gemütliches Haus am Meer

Die «Villa Tonnara» steht zusammen mit vier anderen Häusern in einem kleinen Park direkt am Meer. Ein wunderbarer Platz mit viel Ruhe und Meeresrauschen. Das Haus wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und befindet sich in einem sehr gepflegten und sauberen Zustand. Für ein Mietobjekt ist die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet und sauber. Die Betten sind bequem und frische Handtücher sind reichlich vorhanden. Die Kontaktaufnahme vor der Reise ist zuverlässig und die Schlüsselübergabe mit einer ausführlichen Instruktion sympathisch. Ein wunderbarer Ort an dem man die Seele baumeln lassen kann.

As a lover of Sicily and of nature I have lived in Palermo and now work in Rome as an engineer. I enjoy going to San Vito often; the call of the forest is hard to resist, and whenever possible I will fly home to embrace my home without any hesitation!

Why they chose this property

I have always had a week point for our family home in San Vito that was built by my father in the 60es, who is an engineer as well. Back then, it was still legal to build that close to the sea. The passion for houses and particularly for this family property has pushed me to personally take care of the cottage, including maintenance, which I coordinate every year to offer our guests the best service possible.

What makes this property unique

It is a magical place: at sunset you will be enchanted by the sea while observing the movement of the waves and, if you're lucky, some dolphins or tuna will cross the golf, jumping out of the water. With a dink and a book in hand, and stretched out on the cushions of the terrace, it will be difficult to part with it!
