As of April 2018 I now own 2 units at Crystal Shores. Prior to this date my reviews will reflect the Ocean House 1601 rental which I sold to purchase this unit so please take into account any comments specific to the unit prior to April 2018. I now own and maintain 2 units at Crystal Shores (706 this unit, and 307).

Unit 706 is a great 2 bedroom 2 bath condominium located in the gorgeous 14 story Crystal Shores complex within walking distance of shopping, dinner, drinks and more.
This is one of two units I own at Crystal Shores and will be in transition to becoming a more upscale model in 2018 as occupancy allows me to make upgrades. In June, new balcony furniture, new bathroom in rubbed oil (faucets/tub/towel bars/lights/shower bars). Will try and get new ADA height toilets and shower curtains installed by August.
It will not be your typical 2 bedroom sleeps 6 model but will be in transition in 2018 For 2019 it will be a sleeps 4 unit only with no sleeper sofa... no air mattresses, etc. once i have honored the existing 5+ contracts. I am looking to provide a property designed around creating an environment where guests look to return again and again.
If you are looking for a bargain price or a last minute special on a rental property, that is not what I am about as I don't take offers. I live close enough and value my unit at what I price it so if that is not for you, it is for me and I will come down and make some additional upgrades and spend some time at the beach as I am reaching that point in my life where that is starting to matter. My properties are not your typical rental property but a property that I rent. My goal is to provide an exceptional vacation experience as to your accommodations while in Gulf Shores. There are more expensive as well as cheaper units available in Crystal Shores but few will match my units as to quality for the dollar vacation experience delivered for the money you spend. That it is my only objective... the best value for the money. Vacation time should be stress free and that is what I am working towards!.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION -
Crystal Shores is one of the newer (2004) 2 bedroom condominium complexes on the quieter West Beach sitting directly on the white sand beaches of Gulf Shores. Complete with an indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, dry sauna, work-out room with TV’s allowing you to easily overlook both the beach and the pool! The game room is equipped with both pool and foosball tables for your enjoyment off the beach. Charcoal grills are available for our guests use as well but you must bring your own charcoal/starter/lighter. Rental chaise lounges/umbrella's are available March to November from a 3rd party for $130/week. There is a place to leave YOUR beach chairs in a beach side storage area but consider bringing a cable lock to secure them. Crystal Shores is a secure facility. By that I mean each unit has a unique code or in my case 4 unique FOBs which allow you access to the beach, beach storage, exercise room, game room, pool and hot tub
This unit comes with 9 ft ceilings so it has a light and airy feeling to it.Again it will be in the process of updating, upgrading, over 2018 so the images will change over time! as I have elected to appoint this unit very comfortably for 4 adults (1 King and 1 Queen bed). I only rent weekly and only Saturday to Saturday for 2019.
There is 18" tile flooring throughout the unit. Both bedrooms feature flat screen TVs and the main room has DVD/BluRay/Netflix available (my account).
You will not find floaties/Xbox/etc. as my unit is set up and furnished for adults. Again my focus is a great vacation space for up to 4 persons.
The kitchen is fully stocked, has both granite counters and WILL have granite/stone/glass tile back splash at some point in 2018 for those who savor cooking, an upscale cozy space to do so. All of the kitchen appliances are slated to be replaced this fall in both of my units.
The in unit laundry facilities are a full size washer and dryer plus an iron and ironing board with the laundry detergent provided. I will be in the process of upgrading towels and linens in 2018 as well. Belk Biltmore towels in place right now which are quite nice to the touch
During the hot summer months you remain cool in the shade on the balcony and during the cooler winter months you will feel the warmth of the sun relaxing in those same chairs providing you with a great unobstructed view of the sunset on the beach as effective 1-1-2016 items left on the beach will be considered abandoned by the City of Gulf Shores and disposed of at your expense.
I actually live in Gulf Shores so you can expect it to be very clean, completely stocked (soap/paper products/cleaners), and in good condition upon your arrival, no excuses. If there is an issue or one that comes up, I live only 5 miles away. There are no pets allowed at Crystal Shores except for owners. This is a non-smoking unit as well including the balcony. There is community use smoking balcony available on the second level. I was the President of the Association for 2 years here and now VP. I am active on other Boards where I own. Gulf Shores is a great place and happy to help people have the best vacation possible here.
While I appreciate your interest in my unit I do not entertain/accept/reply to discounted offers. If you have a limited budget to spend I would be happy to help you with some suggestions perhaps for other complexes to consider.
DEPOSIT - The Deposit would be in addition to the Rental Rate and a $300 deposit is required to hold a date for a weekly or daily rental. A $600 deposit is required for a rental lasting 4 or more weeks. Those are returned in full presuming no lost/missing items.
Check in time is 3:30 PM and check out time is 9:30 AM. I try and get you in and out before traffic builds which indeed it does on Saturdays.
There are shower/changing facilities on the second floor should you choose to arrive earlier and/or stay later on your departure date You need to ask me about this before your arrival as a unique code is on the back of the unit but you will not have access that to that in the event of an early arrival. Again the Beach/Storage/Pool/Game Room all require the use of this unique code and/or FOBs that I provide for my guests.
The condo association does not allow RV's or trailers on the property.
