About Mary Jane

I am a former resident of New York City. I relocated to New ort Richey in 1982 with my mom. We chose this area because we loved being close to everything yet far enough away in a very serene area. It is very easy to get to any where of great interest with in 45 minutes.

Mary Jane purchased this house in 2014

Why Mary Jane chose New Port Richey

I purchased this property because I love the area. I own 2 other homes on the same block which make it convenient for guests needing multiple homes for extra friends or family. The private beach is a great added benefit for the amazing sunsets, dolphin watching grilling or just walking on the sandy beach.

What makes this house unique

My home is on a conservation lot and I themed my home in a safari theme to go with the whole idea. the view from the back florida room you can enjoy watching all the beautiful different birds and squirrels running threw the trees. If you enjoy peace and quite and truly love nature you will love my home.

Great home to stay in while in Florida

Great home to stay in while enjoying Florida

Thanks to the owners for providing a great home for our one month stay in Florida. The home is within a beautiful community and quiet neighborhood and includes a membership to the local private beach club. We even enjoyed several BBQ's at the beach to watch the sunset. The owners provide about everything you need in the home including towels, linens, BBQ, beach chairs, bikes, cable TV and wifi for internet connections. The furniture and beds are comfortable. The Florida room is a great quiet spot for morning coffee or breakfast. We highly recommend this property for your Florida vacation.

Our wonderful vacation

  • 5 of 5

This is our second year in this beautiful house and guess what, we are coming back next year!! We had a wonderful 2 months in this lovely and comfortable home. Everything is still brand new and it is all so easy to take care of and enjoy. The owners are very attentive and personable and work hard to meet our needs. The 2 main living areas of the house provide a great arrangement for tv watching or reading and relaxing. The porch and back yard are just the right mixture of Florida habitat and outdoor enjoyment. We loved the chairs right in front of the house where we got to talk to all of the great neighbors. Going to the Gulf Harbors beach was the icing on the cake and the community was full of restaurants and parks. Like others, we enjoyed Tarpon Springs with Rusty Bellies, and AL Anderson and John Chesnut Parks on Tarpon Lake. Loved James E. Grey Nature Preserve and the refurbished Sims Park, both right in the city. Our 2 months couldn't have been better and we are so happy to look forward to returning 1/1/17. A special thank you to the owners for our home away from home.

This was a perfect place for just 2 of us. We needed a place prior to moving here. The home has everything and nicely remodeled. We had our own bikes to ride to the beach which was about 2 miles away. We stayed for 3 months for a summer special at an excellent rate. Definitely would recommend !!!! Thank you to the owners!!!

The best vacation ever

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week at the most amazing vacation house we have ever stayed at. First the home is fully equipped with everything you could ask for. There was even beach toys and kites for the kids. The home is totally remodeled and beautifully decorated to where you could live there as your home. There was no detail left out. The screen patio was a great place to enjoy coffee and listening to all the birds as it is very private. The beach which is located within the subdivision was a private beach very clean with grills to cook out on and cabanas with tables to come in from the sun. The evening sunsets were just breath taking. The owners were a delight to deal with. We highly recommend this vacation home to anyone looking for a wonderful place on the west coast of Florida. It is so close to anywhere you would want to visit. Their is so many things this area has to offer. We found our home away from home and will return to this house yearly. Thank you so much for such a great vacation. Pam

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for writing a review. It is our goal to insure that all of our guests have a memorable vacation. The best compliment is that you will be returning to our home. I know that you visited a lot of what the area has to offer, such as Tarpon Spring town of Greek heritage with great restaurants and day boat rides watching dolphins and diving for sponges. Thank you for taking such great care of my home so that many other guests can enjoy our beautiful home as you did. Looking forward to your return next year. Mary Jane

My family and I stayed here, and we couldn't have been more pleased! The house was clean, all new furniture with a private back yard. Private beach less than five mins away, with pavilions, grills and restrooms all right there. Mins away from Publix grocery store. Tarpon Springs 20 mins away. The list goes on. We will definitley be coming back next year. Thanks again!!

Clean, comfortable home in New Port Richey

  • 5 of 5

We spent the month of February 2015 in this clean and comfortable home. The owner was attentive to all of our communications and welcoming upon our arrival.

This two bedroom home has just undergone a full renovation and thus everything is brand new and clean from the kitchen counters to appliances, plates, etc. All of the house furniture is new and comfortable as well. There was a washer/dryer and the owner provided two bikes.

The home has access to a nice private stretch of beach on the Gulf. We enjoyed walking on this beach and watching the birds there.

No need to think about the big attractions such as Disney, etc. this part of Florida provides great and different activities for families, nature loving individuals of any age, but a car is essential. Travel on "Alt. 19" it gets you where you need to be and avoids the intense traffic on Rt. 19. We loved Anclote River Park in New Port Richey which is a small park/beach with swimming, picnicking, boat access, lovely Gulf views and bird watching. Right down the street is "Miss Vickis on the River" a fun, little restaurant mostly outside on the water, mostly frequented by the locals. The town of Tarpoon Springs offers a fun shopping area and restaurants right on the water. Boat trips are available out to see the Gulf from here. Our favorite restaurant was Rusty Bellies, try the shrimp. Fred Howard Beach in Tarpoon is a must see with a long causeway out to a nice clean beach. Dunedin is just a bit further south and a great visit. We watched dolphins and pelicans from the town pier. There is a large state beach which is fun with lots of sea shells, swimming and a great little spot to get a lunch. The furthest south we traveled this trip was to St. Petersburg to see the "Dali Museum" which is a very interesting building and a nice collection of the early works of Salvador Dali. The town of Clearwater is also an easy day trip. So much to see and enjoy, sadly too little time.
