About Kathy Willey-Coogan
We LOVE St. Pete!!!! It's such a wonderful city, rich with culture, music, art and nature all that and beautiful weather too! You can't ask for more than St. Pete has to offer. We have lived in the area for over 20 years and have traveled to many great destinations however there's no place on earth we have enjoyed more than St. Petersburg Florida. We are truely blessed to live and work in this amazing area. Being from northern states ourselves originally (Michigan & New Jersey) we know how long and cold winter can be up north. This little bungalow is where we want to retire someday. Unfortunately, it's too soon for us to be able to kick our feet up. That's why we want to share our little corner of heaven, we figure someone may as well enjoy it until we are able to.
Kathy Willey-Coogan purchased this House in 2014
Why Kathy Willey-Coogan chose Saint Petersburg
When my husband and daughter and I walked in the door we instantly fell in love with this house. The original wood floors from 1910 and French doors leading out to a covered front porch that sits on one of St Pete's quaint brick streets. It was just perfect! We very much wanted a place close enough to downtown to ride our bikes but also close enough to walk to Cresent Lake, Starbucks, Panera, Carrabas, Outback, and we have so much fun at Practically Picasso...we never imagined we could have it all and a huge back yard as well! This place was more than we were dreaming of so we couldn't pass it up, even though we can't live there yet- it's already home. We are happy to be able to share. :)
What makes this House unique
The large backyard in a location this close to town is a very unique find. We love being able to invite everyone to park in the driveway and walk or bike to town during events or concerts. Parking downtown is especially difficult to find and can get expensive. We have this lovely oasis where friends and family can park, go downtown for events and then relax in the backyard and have a cookout. There is ALWAYS something fun going on downtown the tough part is choosing what to attend.

One of my favorite vacation rents EVER.
Location, perfect. Cleanliness, perfect. Coziness, perfect. The host, amazing and accommodating and always very responsive. Beds, perfect. Furniture and Kitchen, perfect. Our girls and my wife loved it and thought it was adorable. Location is close to everything you want to be close to in St Pete. If you're looking for a 2-bedroom 2-bath rental in St Pete for a vacation, it doesn't get much better than this. :-)
Just What We Needed!
This was a gem of a place to stay for a girls' weekend! It had everything we needed and plenty of room for everyone. Loved being able to walk to a nearby park and to downtown St. Pete to check out the museums and restaurants. Our host Kathy was great and even gave us some suggestions for some other fun area activities. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a St. Pete getaway!
Great house. Very clean. Close to downtown and Bay Area. Parking was great as well. We would definitely stay here again. The house had all furnishings and kitchen supplies we needed and then some
A very happy comfortable stay! Thank you!!
Great Home to Stay At
Really enjoyed the spacious updated bungalow. Clean, well stocked with supplies, storage space and close to highway access. Kathy was very accommodating and quick to respond to any concerns we encountered. Quiet neighbourhood and if you enjoy walking I recommend exploring the shops, restaurants and Crescent Lake Park within the area. Definitely would recommend this beautiful home and would stay again.
Everything was as advertised. Very clean and well appointed. Lovely neighborhood.
Would not hesitate to stay here again. Kathy is an excellent host.
All this and less than a mile from downtown St. Pete. Need I say more. :)
