1. Maximum Occupancy is 8, excluding children under twelve (12) years of age. Sleeping Arrangements for 9.
2. Parking for 5 vehicles. Street parking is prohibited year-round.
3. Fireplace in the photos is only decorative and non-operable.
4. The upstairs primary bedroom, while enclosed, can be opened up by opening up a wall of shutters. Hence, noise from the downstairs living area travels easily to this room.
5. A home nearby is currently under construction for Summer/ Fall 2024. Some noise and nuisance is possible. Please inquire for details.
6. The use of ANY outdoor firepit or outdoor fireplaces is strictly prohibited at all our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping to keep our community safe from wildfires.

Great location with lake views and walking distance to Skylandia beach and Tahoe City (1 hour). Great for a group with 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 at first level. 3 bathrooms! Kitchen was well stocked and place is clean. No A/C. I gave this 5 stars not because it is luxurious but exactly what you want in a Tahoe cabin - cozy, great family table, easy access to beach, Tahoe City and King's Beach.

R&R with Tahoe Views

We had the most wonderful stay here. Love the home, it's architecture, tall windows, well stocked kitchen for cooking and entertaining. Most of all we loved our mornings watching blue Jays and evenings on the deck watching the lake view, sail boat races, grilling steaks or marshmallows for smores, the stars and moon coming out. Love the layout, cozy beds, house decor and art very special too. Love the central location to shops (short drive) but how quiet and remote the house feels. Also love discovering Sugar Pine Cakery & Cafe (20 min walk or 4 min drive) and then taking a walk through Skylandia Park to the Beach w/dock and walking the beach in the mornings. Great home! Great Location! and even a bonus Bear visit but felt very safe with the house's security.

Tahoe vacation

The first night, we showed up to a dark and cold house since the power had been out for hours. This was a bit frustrating as we had zero warning and were absolutely unprepared for cold and dark. We also had purchased no food in advance as we intended to order takeout locally for our first night, also unavailable because of the outage. Otherwise, the home was nice, clean, and met our needs as a family of seven.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, beautiful views and awesome deck. The pictures make the house look much better than reality. The furniture and rugs are tired and dirty and the layout with the jack and jill master/ upper bedroom bath is strange. Another strange quirk is that the upstairs bedrooms open up to the downstairs with shutters. On a positive note, the beds were all comfortable and the kitchen and baths were somewhat updated. Be aware that both showers are very small.

Great stay

Home was beautiful in a nice and peaceful location, we even saw a bear!! Kitchen was stocked with utensils and cooking supplies. Views were beautiful! House seemed very clean which was comforting during a pandemic. Only giving it 4 instead of 5 because they only gave us a small supply of toilet paper for 6 people and we ran out pretty fast. Beds were also super creaky and TV was in need of an update. Like others mentioned, it is a bit smaller than what the pictures show but 6 adults were able to fit comfortably in the living and dining room.

As for check in and out that was very easy and the folks at Tahoe Escapes were great to work with. The property itself is in need of some serious updates with the heavily used furniture in the living room. It is time to be replaced. The bedrooms were all good though.

Furniture in living room needs to be replaced. Oven door was missing. Fan in master bedroom squeaked and one chaise lounge was missing it's frame. Also as a safety issue there are 2 dead trees that need to be removed soon, at lest before winter. The deck was great and the interior of the house felt spacious due to the high ceilings. The walls are thin so don't expect much privacy, especially if you are in the upstairs bedrooms. Not sure how that can be fixed. That said, if they replaced the furniture and took out the two dead trees Inwoukd stay there again.

Reviewer Comments: Never stayed in such a poorly maintained dirty rental-black mold in the shower, cobwebs, missing screen on kitchen window,broken screen in bedroom, furniture & mirrors dusty, broken shutters. The refrigerator had to be turned up to full to work. Our food was still warm after 3 hours. Old stained towels and linens. No BBQ utensils that were not rusty, dirty BBQ, no tall glasses over 8 oz. No privacy in both upstairs master bedroom (shutters,no walls)

The View Works for Families

Reviewer Comments: My family grew into needing a bigger location for our annual Tahoe vacation and we were lucky to stumble on to this summer home at Dollar Point. The open floor plan keeps the family connected, but still allowing enough privacy for everyone to enjoy a vacation. Great deck, garage space with well used ping pong table, and workable kitchen. Community pool is over crowded and beach access is easy, but the HOA beach is sub par for Lake Tahoe- reccommend you load up and drive to Meeks or Chambers. Still, with proper planning, The View is a great lauching pad for Tahoe fun.

The view of the lake can be enjoyed from many rooms in the house as well as the large deck. The pool up the street accessed through the HOA was very nice, especially for the kids. The staff made our arrival and access to the unit very convenient. The only issues were a lack of fire extinguishers for emergency preparedness and the noise of the fan in the master bedroom.

The pictures of the home were very well taken. It did not seem as large when we saw it in person.. It is listed as a 4 bedroom but the two bedrooms upstairs have a wall that is made up of shutters. The home does not have air conditioning which would have been nice as the daytime temps in July can be pretty hot. The kitchen was well equipped and had a great deck area with a beautiful view.

I would recommend they install screens on the windows and doors so they can be opened and allow ventilation. The windows in the family room do not open at all and opening the doors at night is the only way to get air.
