Very nice villa with the pool

The villa is very nice, we especially loved the garden and the swimming pool. There was 8 of us, 4 adults and 4 children and the villa was right size for us. The car is a must as nearest restaurants are little far away (lot of choices within 10 minutes drive).

A lovely family with a beautiful villa!

We travelled as a 3 generation family of 6: there was plenty of room and the annex adjoining the property was perfect to allow a little more privacy for granny! Nunzia welcomed us very warmly and allowed us to check in a little early after our flight. The lovely Antonio arrived every other day to make sure the pool was clean and water and tend the grounds. We were even treated to home grown tomatoes and lemons on arrival, and the most beautiful lemon marmalade later which Nunzia kindly allowed us the recipe for and we’ll try at home. A car is needed to make the most of the location: we opted to take things easy with beach and pool days (a turquoise bay is a 5 minute walk) alternating with travelling further afield: agrigento was astonishing, and Syracuse and Noto both lovely. Simon ended on first name terms with the granita and bread vendors who came to the door each morning and breakfasts now seem a little bit dull at home! The little gift that Nunzia and Antonio brought on our departure exemplifies their warmth and attention to detail, and we very much hope we’ll meet again! Thanks so much to you both x

Nice House on Edge of Town but a bit Pricey

The house is advertised as accommodating a large number of guests - and the price was a large number accordingly. The house is really only suitable for about 4 adult guests (2 large bedrooms). The other rooms are a) a small "childrens room" off the entry; and b) a spare room in a converted garage. The converted garage is marginally suitable for use - and certainly should be advertised more like this rather than as a distinct dwelling. Overall - I think the place would suit about 4 adults - and then 4 children ranging from ages through the teens. Given this, I think that the price was nearly double what it should have been. Also, the neighborhood in which it sits is marginal to the town of San Lorenzo, sitting on the outskirts amongst fields of abandoned buildings. This renders the area a bit destitute looking, and also somewhat vulnerable. We were warned to be very careful about keeping the place fully secured, and it turned out that this was very much the case (one time without locking a door resulted in one incursion). Again, this indicates that the price should reflect such a setting. Overall, we had a nice time irregardless, although we wound up renting an additional dwelling on the same street to be sure to accommodate the seven adults we had along. But it turned out to be an incredibly expensive week in Sicily given the price of the two accommodations, and the cost of the incursion.

Tolles Haus mit wunderschönem, exotischem Garten, super Pool und viel Platz. Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend, sympathisch, kümmern sich rührend, sodass ein wunderbarer Urlaub gewährleistet ist. Das Haus eignet sich sehr gut für Ausflüge im Süden Siziliens und zum Baden an den wunderbaren Stränden in der Umgebung. Wir, Familie mit 4 Kindern und Hund, können das Haus nur empfehlen! Villa Orchidea: bellezza, cura e spazio ad un passo dal mare

La nostra famiglia é stata ospite di Nunzia e Antonio per 10 giorni in Luglio 2024. Siamo stati benissimo. Nunzia e Antonio ci hanno accolti di persona al nostro arrivo (con tanto di bibite fresche pronte per noi) e ci hanno poi salutati alla partenza (incluso un graditissimo souvenir). Sempre molto veloci nel rispondere a qualsiasi domanda, sono stati davvero molto gentili e accoglienti. La villa ha un giardino splendido, molto curato, con una bella piscina, lettini da spiaggia, divanetti e tutto quello che possa servire. Il pomeriggio in particolare, le palme offrono ombra per piacevoli pennichelle open-air :) Abbiamo apprezzato molto anche la doccia esterna, con vista sugli alberi di limoni. La casa é completa di tutto (lavatrice, lavastoviglie, ventilatore, condizionatore etc etc), inclusa la cucina completamente attrezzata (microonde, forno, pentole, piatti, bicchieri etc). I bagni sono puliti e moderni, le stanze ampie e ci sono grandi tavoli da entrambi i lati della casa per poter fare colazione e/o cenare comodamente tutti assieme. Una delle stanze doppie fa parte di una parte indipendente della casa (con bagno e cucina). La posizione é in una strada tranquilla a San Lorenzo, a 5' in auto da spiagge meravigliose. Consigliamo vivamente Villa Orchidea!

Kleine Oase neben Naturschutzgebiet mit tollen Stränden

Sehr schönes Sommerhaus mit allem, was man braucht - der Pool mit den Palmen rundherum ist natürlich der Höhepunkt, aber auch sonst ist das Haus mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Zwei Terrassen, Grill, voll ausgestattete Küche. Zwei separate Wohnbereiche, folglich zwei Küchen und zwei Bäder, was super ist, wenn man mit zwei Familien da ist. Die Strände im Naturschutzgebiet Venidicari sind wunderschön mit glasklarem Wasser und zu Fuß erreichbar. In Siracusa ist man mit dem Auto in etwa 45 min. Das Haus liegt in einer reinen Ferienhaussiedung, die sich bis Marzamemi zieht und Ende Oktober teilweise verlassen wirkt, da die meisten Häuser nicht mehr genutzt wurden. Aber ruhig ist es allemal und essen gehen kann man schön in Marzememi. Das Vermieterpaar Nunzia und Antonio ist super nett und herzlich, kümmert sich um alles und reagiert sofort auf alle Anfragen. Check-in und check-out waren individuell vereinbar. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und hatten eine schöne Woche in der Villa Orchidea! Grazie, Nunzia e Antonio!

Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien met een fijn zwembad en op loopafstand van het strand. Dichtbij leuke plaatsjes. Wij hadden hier een topweek met als grootste pluspunt de vriendelijke eigenaren die voor alles klaar stonden. Een aanrader!!

Eine wunderschöne Oase

Nunzia und und Nino haben uns beim Einchecken und während des ganzen Aufenthalts super betreut, die Kommunikation war immer sehr schnell und auch wenn zwischendurch etwas zu tun war (bei uns hatte wegen Windes zunächst das WLAN nicht funktioniert und zwischendurch war die Gasflasche am Herd leer) war Nunzia immer erreichbar und alles wurde in Blitzgeschwindigkeit erledigt. Das Haus ist urig und super geeignet für einen Urlaub mit Freundinnen. Der Garten lädt zum Entspannen ein und auch das Meer mit Strand ist nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Es ist wunderbar ruhig. Also 5 Sterne für die liebevolle Betreuung und das Haus mit Garten auf der wunderschönen Insel Sizilien.

Nunzia und Antonio haben uns sehr nett begrüßt und auch die ganze Woche über mit tollen Tipps versorgt. Die Villa ist, wenn auch schon in die Jahre gekommen, sauber, sehr gepflegt, liebevoll eingerichtet und für Selbstversorger gut ausgestattet. Es sind zwei großzügige, von uns gerne genutzte, Terrassen vorhanden. Der Pool wurde jeden 2.Tag von Antonio gereinigt. Der Garten ist sehr schön und ein toller Ort zum Erholen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können die Villa guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen!

Villa orchidea is an absolutely beautiful property fully equipped with everything you would need for a family. The hosts are the warmest couple, very responsive and helpful.. giving us recommendations on the best places to eat sites and sent us with some delicious maremellata di limone and sundried tomatoes 🤤( made by Nunzia) We had 2 families staying on our trip and we each had privacy but also plenty of space to spend time together. The outdoor space is beautifully landscaped with lovely palm trees and flowering plants and the pool is the perfect size. We had our Labrador with us and he definitely did not want to leave! We spend every summer in Sicily and this was our first time to noto, siracusa. It is a lovely part of the island, beautiful beaches, calm, warm waters and sunshine. Marzamemi is a really wonderful town with great restaurants and the best gelato (at Don Peppinu) I’ve had in Sicily. Will definitely come back again. Grazie Nunzia and Antonio ❤️❤️❤️

Lovely villa in a beautiful part of Sicily

Villa Orchidea is situated in a quiet neighbourhood, within walking distance to the beach. The best part of the villa is the outdoor area and the beautiful garden. There are many cosy areas where it is nice to relax both during the day and in the evening, and to enjoy a nice meal. And the pool area is wonderful! Nunzia and Nino are very helpful, and quick to answer any questions and offer assistance. Nino comes to clean the pool and water the plants regularly, bringing home-grown fruit and tomatoes (the best we have ever tasted!). It is a must to have a car, but then you also have access to myriads of exciting sights. There is a lot to explore! The closest village is Marzamemi, where there are many nice restaurants serving tasty food, and lots of gelato and cannoli to be had for dessert. We highly recommend both this area and Villa Orchidea.

Abbiamo soggiornato 8 notti in questa splendida, spaziosa, pulitissima villetta San Lorenzo. Nunzia e Antonio, i proprietari, estremamente gentili, premurosi ed ospitali. Dei veri professionisti. La piscina e gli ambienti esterni sono curati e comodissimi. Posizione ideale per visitare le bellissime Noto, Marzamemi, Modica, Ragusa e Siracusa. Nonché l’incantevole riserva di Vendicari con la sua Tonnara e le spiagge limitrofe. Potrei fare un elenco chilometrico! Insomma, non potevamo chiedere di meglio in tutti i sensi. Die Villa Orchidea ist der ideale Urlaubsort für Sizilienliebhaber! Ein tolles Haus mit einem wunderschönen Garten mit Pool. Die Gastgeber Nunzia und Antonio sind jederzeit ansprechbar und stehen mit Rat und Tat zu Seite. Danke dafür;) Wir haben mit sieben Erwachsenen Urlaub gemacht und kommen gerne wieder, da wir die Zeit sehr genossen haben. Der Strand ist fußläufig gut erreichbar und das Meer einfach ein Traum. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Passend für Familienurlaub mit Freunden

Die Villa ist wunderbar und eignet sich auch für 2 Familien. Das Pool war sauber und der Garten wunderschön. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Nunzia und ihre Familie sind tolle Gastgeber!

Vacanza perfetta

La casa è molto curata, spazi esterni molto confortevoli, prato e piscina curatissimi. Siamo stati in due famiglie con due bimbe e due ragazzi adolescenti e tutti si sono divertiti molto. I proprietari sono disponibili per ogni necessità quindi posso solo ringraziarli e consigliarli a tutti!

Perfect escape

We had a fantastic week at Nunzia's property - she and her husband were great at getting us set up, and her son Marco was on hand to help too. We had a couple of small problems and they were very responsive on whatsapp to sort everything out quickly. It's a very comfortable place with tons of fantastic outdoor space including a bbq and a gorgeous pool. Everything inside is fine (comfortable beds, and kitchen had everything we needed), but it's the outside that makes this place really special. It's a very short walk to the rugged beach at the end of the road. A car is essential - there are no shops in walking distance. The cafe down by the beach is good but seemed to be only open at weekends. We had a very happy time at Villa Orchidea - grazie, Nunzia and family!

Le foto non rendono giustizia alla casa. È un vero gioiello in una delle zone più belle della Sicilia. Nunzia e la sua famiglia sono stati super accoglienti e disponibili per qualsiasi cosa.

STUPENDA VACANZA

Per il secondo anno abbiamo voluto trascorrere le ferie in Sicilia e precisamente a San Lorenzo. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di trovare tramite il sito HomeAway la splendida villa della sig.ra Nunzia e del sig. Antonio due splendide, cordiali e disponibile persone. Peccato che i 15 gg trascorsi in questa villa da sogno sono passati velocemente. Consiglio a tutti, in particolare a famiglie con bambini, di vivere questa esperienza in questa Villa ai confini con la Riserva di Vendicari. Un ringraziamento a Nunzia e Antonio. Al prossimo anno.

Abbiamo conosciuto persone splendide, uniti da una bellissima amicizia, i bambini poi sono stati molto educati e giudiziosi, cosa dire, non abbiamo trovato niente fuori posto, ma anzi tutto pulito e ordinato. Cosa dire ? È stato un piacere ospitarvi e conoscervi , spero di rivedervi presto, Villa Orchidea è sempre aperta per Voi. 😘�Nunzia e Antonio. 😘�

Everything in this House represents the Sicily and this is what I want to convey to those staying in this villa is of poor but full of history as our SICILY.
