River Country Lodge is a 3 bedroom home that sleeps 7, has 1 1/2 baths, full kitchen, central air, satellite TV, games, movies, books, outdoor fire pit and a grill on a private deck overlooking the Muskegon River.

This lodge is a nice clean, 3 bedroom home right on the low banks of the Muskegon River right next to the Pine Street Boat launch for easy access for boats, tubes, kayaks and canoes. This home is on 10 acres among wild-life and some of the best salmon and steelhead fishing in the mid-west.

The Muskegon River in front of the lodge is an excellent place for new anglers to learn the sport as well as for the experienced angler to catch rainbows and browns on dry flys. Lots of room to cast, perfect paced water and epic hatches will not disappoint.

This lodge is perfect for enjoying kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and just relaxing and enjoying all the beauty that the Muskegon River has to offer year round.

This property was great! Mike was super reaponsive and was very understanding when a few accomodations had to be made. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely will book again!

Awesome experience.

I was looking for a place to take my kiddos so they could learn to fish and spend some time away from everything. This was the perfect place to do just that. Mike and Denise are amazing hosts, and make sure you have everything you need. The location to the river couldn’t be better, the scenery is beautiful, and the memories will last a lifetime. We just got home, and my kids are already wanting to know when we can go back. Thank you, Mike and Denise for creating an amazing experience for our family!

Great Getaway Property

Very secluded right on the Muskegon River. Plenty to do on the property and around Newaygo. We never got bored. I would recommend this stay and we may be a repeat visitor.

Breathtaking view, lots to do around the area, and the hosts have thought of every detail. The Lodge is the best we've ever stayed in!

River sounds and views were perfect.

Great cabin. Not too fancy, not rustic. Perfect spot for a weekend away for a music festival in the area. Plenty of space and ameneties provided. Friendly host and great value.

Best Host ever

We had a great time relaxing at the Lodge on the River. The Hosts were great and we cant say enough good things about them. Super helpful and friendly. The location was unbelievable. We all loved it. We will be visiting again soon I hope.

Romantic getaway

We were welcomed with a nice glowing fire and a candle burning. The view was outstanding. We did some fishing right off the dock and explored the town. We had a fantastic weekend the house is exactly as described. Loved it

Muskegon River

Staying at the lodge, the Muskegon River runs just outside. It is a million dollar view. I find it so relaxing sitting on the deck watching the river. During my stay there were a lot of sunny days that complimented the view. Mike and Denise live next door and were wonderful hosts. The North Country Trail runs near the property and this trail is great for hiking.

Muskegon River Salmon Fishing

Beautiful view of the river. Can wade fish right off the deck. Very clean and propety owners were very nice and accomodating.

Great place!

Had a lovely time, the house was so clean and stocked with everything you could ever need. Excellent location and beautiful views from the deck out back, as well as kind hosts next door. We loved it!

Relaxing River Retreat

This cottage, right on the river, provided the perfect place for a family get together. We were able to eat all our meals on the patio while watching eagles, herons, osprey, and kingfishers. The short tube ride from the dam to the cottage was perfect for young children and so fun and easy that we did it twice in one afternoon. Fly fishing was productive right in front of the cottage. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The hosts were most helpful and made us feel very welcome.

Great memories fishing and hanging out with family and friends

We had a great time! Denise and Mike were great hosts. If we weren't so busy fishing and exploring the river, we would have tried the simulated golf in the man cave. Thanks again for the great time

Peaceful Getaway

My family and I stayed here for two nights. If I could have stayed the whole time sitting on the deck overlooking the river, I would have. The views and sounds of the river were beautiful.

Anfitrión: Michael and Denise Anderson

Mike grew up in Sparta Michigan, Denise grew up in Martin Michigan. We now live in Newaygo Michigan right next to our rental property. Mike owns Anderson's Silk Screening and Denise is an event coordinator for the chamber, she also is a lead singer in a band called 'The Denise Anderson Connection'. We both love all sorts of outdoor activities fishing, golfing, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, biking and drinking wine on the deck overlooking the river.
