River Country Lodge on the Muskegon River next to Pine St boat launch

Excellent location for access to the Muskegon River. Cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Mike is welcoming and helpful for local knowledge. Great stay. Will be back.

The place was clean and comfortable, had most everything you needed and was just steps to the river for some very nice wad fishing.

Stayed at the cottage for 3 nights. There were 5 of us there and we each had a comfortable bed to sleep in. It has a nice deck overlooking the river and we could see salmon in the river when the sun was shining, along with some fishermen in waders. The cottage is a bit older but everything is in good shape. Nothing fancy but served our purpose well and we would not hesitate to stay there again.

My family and I had a great time. Mike was attentive and helpful. We will be back again!

My wife and I stayed here early September for 3 nights and had a great time. Mike and Denise are friendly and helpful people, wonderful hosts. Their home is next door, but we had plenty of privacy. The lodge was clean, comfortable and ready for us. Best of all, its right on the river. There are plenty of spaces to sit down and enjoy the view of the river. We only used one of the three bedrooms and we found the bed very comfortable. It was little higher than we were used to, with drawers underneath for storage, but that wasn't a problem. There are nice towels available to use and a well equipped kitchen. The location is great. First evening while relaxing on the deck an eagle flew down the river right past us! We rented their kayaks, very reasonable, putting in at the launch close by and Mike picked us up in Newago when we were done. Very simple and convenient, and a beautiful time on the river. We also enjoyed the shops and restaurants in Newago. We hope to return in the future.
