Hi There! My wife Shaina and I are newlyweds and we just moved in to this beautiful house in December of 2014. We are long-time New Haven residents and we LOVE this city! We have a reputation for hosting potlucks and holiday parties for our friends and family over the years, and you couldn't ask for a better space to entertain than this. We are very excited to share our home and ideally we would like to rent to families or large groups coming in to New Haven for special weekends at Yale, including alumni and graduation weekends. Why Christopher Monks chose Wooster Square
Wooster Square is the most historic and peaceful neighborhood in the city. You can walk to Yale, Downtown New Haven, or a number of great restaurants. The house is Just 2-3 blocks away from famous Wooster St (Pepe's, Sally's, Etc). If pizza isn't your top choice there are a dozen other restaurants within walking distance that cater to a variety of tastes and preferences. The square itself is delightful and quintessential New England.
What makes this House unique
Dining room table seats ten and dining area is connected to the kitchen and bar area. The kitchen is great for breakfast seating with 4 stools to sit on the large island. Natural light from the sun fills the house in every room. Relax in the Jacuzzi tub before breakfast or after a night out. A hidden gem and rare find for this neighborhood. Close to everything New Haven has to offer. Kitchen, 3 Bedrooms, Jacuzzi Tub (master bedroom), living room, dining area, and driveway. Wi-Fi password available upon request. There are no land lines for the phone and we do not have cable. But a large, crisp flat screen with direct internet connection is available for DVDs/Hulu/Netflix. The owners will not be on site in the event that the entire house is rented, but we will be readily available and easy to reach.

Welcoming, Comfortable, and Convenient
Our hosts have created a very welcoming and comfortable place to stay in New Haven. It is convenient to Yale, the historic Wooster Square community, and many other places we wanted to go while in New Haven.
Great place to gather the family!
Chris and Shaina's beautifully decorated and well appointed home was a wonderful place to gather our family for a late-holiday get together. The fully equipped kitchen and spacious dining and living area made all of us feel right at home. The hosts were very accommodating with our late booking and prompt and helpful with all communications. Pleasant and quiet neighborhood and we especially appreciated the off-street parking given the recent snowstorm. We really enjoyed our stay!
Great family holiday gathering
The home was comfortable, decorated beautifully for the holidays, and perfect for our family since we needed to be near our elderly mother. Loved the bright kitchen, the fenced-in backyard, and the comfortable living and dining room areas.

A Family Friendly Spacious Party House
The Monk's have a fantastic family home that is open and friendly and welcoming. Centrally located with plenty of parking, well labeled instructions throughout the house, comfortable beds, and everything needed to host a family Christmas party of 30. The homey feel created a comfortable and relaxed environment, all had a memorable time.
Fabulous vacation!!!
House was extremely comfortable & we loved it!! It has a great kitchen which is well stocked and has room to sit and visit with the cook or even help out. Even though there are many great places to eat nearby, it was perfect having the kitchen to get the right foods in our son before his matches & he always returned starved too so it was in use again. The beds were all very comfortable, the washer & dryer an added bonus - and the parking really put it over the top. The house is well located and so convenient. We would definitely stay there for future tournaments.
