About Ryan Eller

I have grown up on the sandy beach of Lake Ontario. When in Rochester this is the place to be. Beautiful sunsets, the sand between your toes, and smores at night. I have 2 small children who spend the days building sand castles and skipping stones. Who could ask for more...

Ryan Eller purchased this house in 2014

Why Ryan Eller chose Finger Lakes

Well maintained and spacious with the sandy beach just footsteps from the front door.

Great Stay!

  • 4 of 5

Wonderful week in New York! Plenty of room for 2 families and the house had everything we needed! The house was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked and in good condition. I always bring my own cookware but had no need to ever unpack them! The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the lack of beach. According to the locals the lake had record breaking levels and washed out the beach. It might be a good idea to let future renters know as we were relying on it for our little ones. There is a nice beach minutes away at Ontario Beach State Park. Kids loved the carousel there as well! A day trip to Niagara Falls is well worth the 1 1/2 hour drive. If we're ever in the area again we will surely return to this house!

Great view

  • 5 of 5

Loved the home and especially the view. The home was plenty big for all of us, with plenty of amenities in the kitchen. Enjoyed exploring the area and loved the fireworks from our beach too. Ryan was easy to work with. They had the biggest picture window that we could see from the water. Hence the great view.

Very spacious - easily accommodated 20 for Mother's Day dinner! Lovely setting. Grandkids loved it!

  • 5 of 5

The four bedrooms were large and comfortable. The kitchen allowed plenty of space to prepare dinner for 20. We had space for everyone at the tables but had to bring in some chairs for such a large gathering. The view was terrific, even with the historically high water level on Lake Ontario. (Ryan was very timely in the days leading up to our arrival to our multiple inquiries regarding the water level.) Being able to walk to Schaller's was a treat! Grandkids loved the access to the lake. We would return in a heartbeat and wholeheartedly recommend it!

Good location and plenty of room.

  • 3 of 5

We stayed at this property for the weekend of our wedding (we were getting married in the area).

Pros:

Property was easy to get into (lock box) and there was plenty of street parking. The house is pretty sprawling with many seating areas for people to site. Made it super easy for our friends and family to relax and enjoy their time.

Cons:

While everything was clean (sheets, bathrooms), it was apparent that the property hadn't been stayed at or walked through prior to our arrival that week. The property was pretty overrun with spiders (in all the corners of rooms; in windows and across doorways) and counter tops were dusty. We spent over an hour vacuuming up spider webs and spiders upon arrival throughout the whole house. There also wasn't enough soap for all the sinks in the house. We contacted the owner who suggested we go and buy some. We did, and then the next day the owner also dropped some off. We felt like these things would have been caught if someone had gone through the property the day or two prior to our arrival, hence the rating. We would have rated 4+ stars if we didn't have to deal with this stuff.

Owner's Response: I received a call as soon as these tenants arrived at the home that there were some spider webs in corners of some rooms. I explained that the house had been empty for almost a month prior, being that it's our off season. I then contacted my professional cleaner and had her there within the hour to address any concerns and clean as needed. I then received a text late at night saying the home was running low on hand soap. The tenant stated that she was at the store and could grab some. (Hand soap generally running about $0.99 I didn't think much of it) I told her that regardless, I would be over in the morning with some soap and other supplies. I then arrived at the home about 9am with about $80 worth of supplies to make sure all their needs were taken care of.

Great Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip ever to a great lake or NY, but wanted something different this year. This home was beautifully decorated and meticulously clean. The furniture was of good quality and the kitchen was fully stocked and also beautiful. But, the thing that sets this house apart is the view of Lake Ontario. You are steps away from the sandy beach and the lake. The moment I walked around to the back of the house, I was awed by the lake and the view. We enjoyed campfires in the fire pit on the beach and walking just a couple of blocks to Shaller's for ice cream! The sunsets were truly amazing over the lake. We went to Niagra Falls for the day and also loved visiting the Strong Museum in Rochester. Hope to definitely return for another week or two. The only question I have relates to the refundable deposit. Been home for almost 6 weeks now and have not received it. Wondering how long it takes to get the deposit refunded and if anyone else has had this problem? Other than that, I have nothing but positivity for this house and for Beattie Beach.
