Monteverde Guesthouse ticks all the boxes for a pleasant, easy, charming and comfortable stay : you will find free WiFi access, a fully equipped kitchen to prepare your meals, state-of-the-art air conditioning and weekly laundry service for medium to long stays.
Two additional beds are available to house up to 10 people and the garden (ping pong, table soccer , sofas and hammock) will accompany your moments of relaxation.
A stock with products for a basic welcome breakfast is provided to all guests!
Set uphill in the green and central Monteverde Vecchio, the location of Monteverde Guesthouse is a smart combination of convenience and privacy. Just a few steps away from Gianicolo and its breath-taking panorama and the small cobbled streets of the ancient district of Trastevere you will find us: four double rooms with en-suite bathroom, a large living room with dining space, a fully equipped kitchen and a big garden to chill out and relax are looking forward to welcome you!
Andrea will help you to organize your trip: he can reserve your taxi or Van from the airport, he will explain you all the services in the area: shops, bus, restaurants!

Fantastic stay at Monteverde Guest House

We (party of 7) recently stayed at Monteverde Guest House during our trip to Rome, and it was an excellent experience. The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and located in a safe and convenient neighborhood. Andrea, our host, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He was incredibly welcoming and provided great recommendations for local restaurants that truly enhanced our stay. If you're looking for a great place to stay in Rome with an outstanding host, we highly recommend Monteverde Guest House!

okay location

the place was decent. it needs some cleaning and upgrading. The beds and bedding was not that great. it was hard to sleep in a bed that squeaks when u move. the manager was friendly and very helpful.

Nice, quiet neighborhood flat

Our family of seven (5 adults; 2 children) enjoyed our three-day stay in the Monteverde Guesthouse. The guesthouse is located in a quiet, interesting neighborhood a short walk to the restaurants and shops in Trastavere and just a cab ride away from the sights in Rome our party wished to visit. The rooms were spacious, each with its own bathroom, and the common areas - living room, kitchen and patio area, inviting. I would not hesitate to recommend the Monteverde Guesthouse to anyone visiting Rome.

Nice stay in Trastevere

Our family of 9 stayed in Andrea’s apartment for a nice visit to Rome. The apartment was spacious enough and it was nice to have extra roll away beds for the 2 children to sleep on. We spent most of our days touring but in the evenings we liked the outdoor space to sit and relax in. Andrea was very helpful when a few minor glitches happened and resolved the issues quickly. Beds were comfortable and each bedroom has its on en-suite bath which was an appreciated amenity. Overall a very nice stay. Only minor suggestion to Andrea would be to offer guests more than 1 pillow per person, and upgrade towels as they are quite worn. Thank you for sharing your lovely apartment with us.

Beautiful apartment

This apartment is EXACTLY as pictured.......lovely, quiet neighborhood. Andrea was very helpful with arranging transportation to the Ryder Cup (while putting up with my numerous questions and requests just to make sure I didn't forget to ask him anything....... :) ) The garden is the perfect area for relaxation after a long day exploring.....I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone with a larger group who wants to make sure everyone has their own bedroom WITH a bathroom (very important to our group). Was very lucky we came across this gem!

Hébergement agréable, au calme. Il faut savoir que le quartier est en hauteur donc il faut pouvoir marcher bien ( ou prendre les bus ;)Propriétaire accueillant. Les photos grand angle donnent une idée au peu faussée de la taille des pièces mais tout y est ! partie salon, salle a manger, cuisine (évier et four séparé du reste de la cuisine), les 4 chambres et sdb, l'espace extérieur!

Schöne Ferienwohnung mit tollem Gastgeber

Die Ferienwohnung liegt etwas außerhalb von Roms, ist aber gut mit dem Bus zu erreichen. Sie ist geräumig und sauber und der Gastgeber hat sich gut um uns gekümmert und uns vor Ort in Empfang genommen. Einzig die vielen Steckmücken im Garten bzw. auf der Terrasse sind hier negativ anzumerken.

Great place

We had a great time at this house. It's away from the hectic downtown but still convenient getting to and from via taxi or public transport. The host was super friendly and helpful, giving us all the information we needed from bus lines to local eating spots. The house was spacious and clean with plenty of room to sleep 4 couples, each with our own washroom. The patio was very nice, unfortunately the hot tub is not included in the price.

First rate

Andrea is the best host we’ve had anywhere we’ve stayed. He was more than attentive—gracious, accommodating and precise. You can tell he’s really passionate about his home and the happiness of his guests. At one point the coffee maker was acting up. He came right over to fix it, and while there did some cleaning for us (vacuuming and straightening up). That’s commitment to excellence. The apartment was perfect for our purposes. We would highly recommend.

Nice apartment

While the apartment was nice, I probably would have stayed in a different area, most likely Trastevere. The neighborhood was very quiet, although that might be because we were there in August when everyone is on vacation. There was also a big problem with mosquitoes in the yard, so we really couldn't use that space. Also discovered when we got there that the terms of the rental had changed, and the use of the spa facilities were only available for an additional fee, which was not what our agreement said. Other than that, very nice and comfortable apartment.

We take exception to the statement that the location didn't conform to the description. In fact, our Guesthouse is located exactly in the upper part of Trastevere( center hystorical area ) and was in perfectly clean condition upon her arrival. We are sorry if she had any problems with mosquitoes in the garden but there were candles and anti mosquito devices at the guests' disposal. Regarding her allegation that the terms and the economic conditions had changed, this is absolutely not true! I'll explain why: Mrs. Laura booked her stay online in April, I at that time I had just installed a luxury spa with jacuzzi but the photos, at the time of booking had been published yet, so she didn't know about the Spa. So, when she arrived in August I explained to her that the Spa service had an extra cost. She got angry because she wanted to use it without paying for it. Finally, when she used it, she tampered with the electronic computer of the tub because he did not read the instructions (which are in English). In the end she left only half the price of her payment and wrote a defamatory review !!!! I am happy because all the families who stay with us are enthusiastic about the guesthouse and our services. Unfortunately we occasionally meet a black sheep. However, we will continue to welcome those who want to discover Rome and stay in our beautiful apartment . For all those who are intrigued by Monteverde Guesthouse I recommend reading the other reviews!

Nice place

We enjoyed our stay here and the place is well maintained. The only negative is that it's located on a very steep hill in the Monteverde neighborhood and it's a bit further away from old Rome. You can walk to the bus but walking from the bus is a very long and steep climb. We ended up taking taxis home every time we went out which can get expensive. Also be prepared - there are mosquitos - and we couldn't use the outside for that reason (we were there in July).

The most perfect location to stay in Rome!

We loved our stay at Monteverde guesthouse! Andrea is the perfect host. He was there to answer any questions and help us out with any needs (proposing local restaurants, ordering taxis, suggesting best places to visit, etc.) The location is just perfect in regards that it is a quiet and beautiful neighborhood of Rome where you can enjoy local restaurants, shop, and have access by foot or public transportation any of the top tourist locations. We particularly enjoyed walking to the Trastevere in the evening to enjoy the street entertainment and the local restaurants. After a long day, we came back to enjoy the spa and whirlpool tub which made our day just perfect! The apartment was clean with modern furnishings and essentials. It is close to a couple of supermarkets, shopping, a park, top-rated restaurants and bus stops. We would definitely stay there again in the future.

The perfect Rome house and location

Our family of 7 adults and 1 child stayed at Monteverde Guesthouse and we are so glad we found the perfect place! It’s a beautiful home, and Andrea is the perfect host! He was so helpful with directions and recommendations for dinner, we had a wonderful dinner right across the street at Focolare! His garden is beautiful, and we enjoyed sitting outside relaxing after a busy day sightseeing. We had fun playing foosball and his hot tub and sauna are a beautiful set up! Perfect way to relax after a long day of walking around Rome. The location was perfect and it was very easy to get everywhere. He also arraigned our transfer to the airport to head back home. We would definitely stay here whenever in Rome and will recommend his home to everyone!

Nice location, spacious apartment with enjoyable outdoor area, cheer- and helpful host

Nice location, cozy area with restaurants, cafes and small shops close by, you can get all you need. Walking distance from centre of Rome, but you need to be able to deal with stairs. We had the entire apartment, 6 adults and 4 children and it was spacious and quite adequate for our use. The garden is the real selling point, the.patio with lounge furniture, the bbq area.and the fussball table and table tennis were all put to good use after a day of sight seeing or when just having a day off. Andrea is service.minded and helpful and also contributed to the experience. We.enjoyed our stay.

A beautiful spot of respite!

Andrea was very helpful with arranging our transport from the airport. He was very accommodating with our arrival/departure. The apartment clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Plenty of room for 2 families, totaling 9. We enjoyed our stay! Having air conditioning was key in the hot weather!

Residential Retreat in Rome

My family had such a wonderful stay at Monteverde Guesthouse! We rented the entire apartment and had plenty of space for our family of 9 (7 adults & 2 kids). The apartment was just like the pictures and we were so fortunate to find it! This was a perfect retreat in a nice residential area after days of sightseeing in busy Rome. We were in Rome in mid June so the weather is hot. Our apartment had air conditioning in every room so we always felt comfortable. Traveling with a large group requires plenty of rooms, bathrooms and comforts...we were lucky to have all three! Andrea was a perfect host and made us feel very welcome. He checked in on us many times during our stay. My in-laws who came with us were so impressed with the place and price. My father-in-law who is Italian loved waking up, walking to the neighborhood shops/markets every morning, and just enjoying our outdoor patio every day. Our kids and the adults spent time in the yard every day as well! Thank you Andrea- we hope to be back again soon!!

Alles super

Wir waren zu acht im Appartement und waren begeistert. Jedes Zimmer ist individuell ausgestattet und der Garten traumhaft. Man kann sich sportlich betätigen oder einfach nur relaxen. Andrea hat alles perfekt organisiert, einen Plan ausgehängt in dem sämtliche Bus- und Zugverbindungen aufgeführt sind, farblich unterlegt und ausführlich erklärt, so dass man nichts falsch machen kann.
