About Wendy Lynam

I moved to Greenville from Chicago in 2005 in search of a better climate and quality of life. Greenville has exceeded my requirements. We are a very cosmopolitan Southern city and have so much in the way of restaurants, culture, shopping, and natural beauty in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

One of our crowned jewels is the GHS Swamp Rabbit Trail, a 19+ mile paved bike/running/walking trail.

Two years ago I started renting my properties on VRBO. I own the Swamp Rabbit Inn in downtown Greenville SC, a six-bedroom, bike friendly inn. #596004 I also own The Furman Cottage #625099. We like to furnish in IKEA.

I began cycling in 2012 and enjoy the excellent riding we have all over Greenville. I recently published a guidebook called 'Cycling Greenville' that has 20 great rides in Greenville County from the bike path to road rides to mountain biking.

I am a real estate investor and agent and recently received my real estate license. I focus mainly on downtown Greenville urban living (condos) but if you are considering a move to the area I would be happy to point you in the right direction. Please feel free to email me or call me with questions about relocating to Greenville. I have raised my family here for 10 years so I have knowledge about schools and activities for children as well as insight into good neighborhoods and investments.

I look forward to welcoming you to Greenville and I am here to help you get the most out of your visit so please reach out for recommendations and with your questions.

Hope to see you soon!

Why Wendy Lynam chose Upcountry

This property sits on 11 serene acres at the base of Paris Mountain, just outside the north gate of Furman University and a few feet from the Swamp Rabbit Trail. I thought this property would make a great gathering spot for cycling groups, families and friends attending weddings or events at Furman University and those who wanted to hike or mountain bike Paris Mountain. Just 1-1/2 miles from Travelers Rest, this is a quaint little town with a lot to do.

What makes this lodge unique

This lodge has large gathering rooms, 5 bedrooms down a hall and a game room in the basement. The outside areas include a grill and a hot tub and nature trail. This property sits on the same property as The Furman Cottage #625099 if you would like to rent both for large groups.

Great for our large group!

  • 5 of 5

This property was perfect for our large group (college sports team) for our travels to the playoffs. Everything was well-stocked and clean and there were enough beds for everyone. The firepit and hot tub were added bonuses, as well as the large outer deck. We were very happy with the location and will hopefully return if our playoffs are in the same location in future years. The owner is so helpful and nice. We had one player leave her wallet in the house and the owner mailed it back to us after our stay. She was very accommodating to our specific needs (had a service animal, needed early check in for a small fee). Thanks Wendy!

Wonderful home for large groups/teams

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of staying at the Swamp Rabbit Lodge with our team for 2 nights this past weekend. We filled up every bed in the house exactly, so it was great to even find a place that could house us all during our playoffs instead of getting a block of hotel rooms. The team loved the house and the decor. The chalkboard doors to the TV room came in handy as a scoreboard during a team bonding game on the first evening. After playing a hard match of rugby, the women enjoyed being able to soak in the hot tub and sit by the fire pit. The beds were very comfortable and the house was well-stocked with everything we needed. The owner was very easy to communicate with and very helpful leading up to our stay and the house was so well-maintained and stocked that we did not need to contact her at all while we were there. We had absolutely 0 problems with the house at all for the weekend. The trails, proximity to Furman and downtown Greenville are great. Check out Falls Park!!! Hopefully we will be able to stay there again next year if the playoffs are in the same location! One of the major highlights of our trip and a great bonding experience for our young team in their first major tournament.

Great Place for Riding as a Team

  • 5 of 5

Great place for the @Holowesko/Citadel cycling team to train from. The kitchen is big enough, the beds are plentiful, the deck is HUGE and the roads are all down hill with a tail wind! We loved it and will be back again!

Great House in a Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

One of my best friends from college (Furman) wanted to do her bachelorette in Greenville. She had invited 14 people and I wanted to find an affordable place for everyone to stay - and stay together because that's always more fun that a million separate hotel rooms! This house was absolutely perfect! It had more than enough space, beds, and (most important for 14 women) bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with all the items we could need, and the hot tub was an awesome surprise! I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to enjoy a weekend with a big group of friends.

Great Training Camp House

  • 5 of 5

22 of us stayed with bikes for a training camp in early January. It worked well for us an we could store all of our bikes in the basement. The house a fabulous for the 22 of us. Plenty of plates, cups and cooking supplies and good roads to ride on.

It was a bit of a squeeze however I would not recommend the house for a camp of more then 25 or so. Even though it sleeps more people. It was just getting a little snug with 25 people.
