Beautiful home! Great location! Short walk to beach and downtown!

Beautifully decorated, light-filled, sparkling clean home. You will feel "at home" the moment you walk in. You will spend lots of time on the huge screened porch, which is always comfortable and inviting. Another huge porch on the second floor at the back of home gives you quiet privacy and makes you feel as though you are in a tree house! The kitchen is very well-stocked in case you want to cook (although there are tons of fabulous restaurants if you prefer to eat out!) An easy walk to the beach or to town (Rehoboth or Dewey). Just 3 blocks from Silver Lake, which is a beautiful lake and provides perfect bird watching. You'll have no shortage of things to do, whether you decide to spend the day on the beaches, go shopping in town, shop at all the outlets, go to the movies, walk the boardwalk, take a bike ride on the gorgeous bike trail, play at Funland or eat at the endless array of restaurants. A perfect vacation spot.

We have owned this home since it was a tiny 300 square foot cinderblock summer cottage. In 2002, we removed the cottage and built the current home. We love our home, but due to our children's busy schedules, even in the summer, we decided to rent our home for part of the summer. Our house will not "feel" like a rental house because it is not...it is truly our home.

Why they chose this property

We absolutely love our home and hope you do too! We are in a quiet neighborhood, which is a benefit when you are ready to get some sleep! But we are close enough to downtown Rehoboth that we often walk or bike into town when we are ready for some action. We also have very easy access to the beaches and Dewey Beach. We have a huge well-stocked kitchen if you like to cook! Our screened porch runs the full width of the house and is fantastic for relaxing and eating. We also have a large covered deck upstairs that faces the back of the house. A wonderful space to read a book or take a nap if you decide to skip the beach one day. And the front bedroom upstairs has a lovely deck to sit and have morning coffee and watch all the folks out for their morning walk to the beach.

What makes this property unique

Our house is very comfortable for living and entertaining. All of our guests comment on how much they love the open layout of the house, and how clean and comfortable they find the house. We have two wonderful shade trees in the back yard which keep the yard (and screened porch and upper deck) comfortable even on the steamiest of summer days.
