We stayed here for a week with our children and grand children who are 2 and 4. It was the perfect spot for this. The house is quite comfortable and the property is great. The pool and surrounding area is beautiful with gorgeous views. The hosts were great to deal with. We would highly recommend this property!
Thank you to Natale and Sara for your great hospitality and sharing your beautiful Villa Ninetta with us. The location, pool and surrounds are all even better in person than they are in the pictures. We had a wonderful peaceful stay in a very well equipped villa. The coast, surrounds and village of Scopello were lovely but it was hard to tear ourselves away from the views and the pool!

Hallo Caroline, thank you for the wonderful review you gave on the site and thank you for the card we found on the table. We will keep this ticket together with the others in your memory. I hope that one day you will return to Villa Ninetta and I will host you as friends and that our Villa will visit your friends leaving them our contact. May life reserve the best for you and your friends, a big hug Sara and Natale🥰
We had a fantastic stay in Scopello and the villa is immaculate. The views are stunning and the house is very tranquil. It takes 15 mins to walk to the town where there are loads of options for drinks and food. We went on a boat tour with snorkelling which was very good fun. The hosts Natale and Sara are great, quality recommendations for places to go and places to eat. I would very much recommend a stay in the Villa.

Iain and his family are great people. We thank you for choosing our Villa to spend the holidays and celebrate your wedding anniversary. We immediately had a good relationship, they asked us for advice on where to eat and what to visit. We are happy to have met me because people like you deserve to be hosted.
This is an outstanding rental property, one of the best I have ever visited in many years of travel. There are many reasons why it is exceptional. First and foremost is the location. This house is set on a hillside high above the Tyrrhenian Sea with a stunning view in front of the sea and and the Gulf of Castellammare featuring a medieval Saracen tower in the foreground. Behind the house are massive mountains and cliffs, completely undeveloped and natural. There are opportunities for hiking in those hills behind the house which offer magnificent views. We were there in April and May when the wildflowers cover the fields with an incredible array of colors. I have rarely ever seen so many varied wildflowers in one place. Add to that the birds that start to sing early in the morning and continue all day long. The house is far enough away from any populated areas that every moment of the day is tranquil and quiet, making this place a perfect getaway from the stress of civilization. However, just a kilometer down a dirt road is the little town of Scopello which offers many options for eating and drinking without having to take your car. For us that was a great pleasure, and we ate lunch there on many occasions.
The house itself is very lovely and well cared for. It has everything you could possibly need: a well-equipped kitchen, two modern bathrooms, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and a beautiful pool. What more could you want?
Best of all are the owners, Natale and Sara. We met them on the first day with their daughter in Castellammare, and they brought us up to the house personally. That was probably a good thing because we might not have found it otherwise. They are wonderful, warm people who really want to make your visit to Scopello a special experience. Every time they came to visit, they brought us a present (delicious pastries, homemade wine, etc.) and stayed for a while to chat. It was a great opportunity for us to practice Italian and make some new friends.
The only problem we encountered was a wifi router that did not work. As soon as we told Natale about it, he came the following day with a technician and had it replaced. After that, we had no Internet problems. In fact, the connection was so good that I could use my computer out on the patio and around the pool.
So, in conclusion, this is an amazing place with amazing owners. Highly recommended!!

We stayed at Natale's villa for one week as a group of six friends. The house is beautiful, clean and well equipped. It is quietly located above Scopello but you can easily reach the village within 15 minutes per walk. Thanks Natale for the warm welcome, good communication and great location!
The villa was perfect. It is about 1km on a dirt road above Scopello which has many restaurants most of which specialise in fish. The mountains behind the villa are very nice. Natale was very helpful when contacted via Whatsapp. When we asked for cereal bowls and a kettle, he brought them the next day.

Empfehlenswert

Hi Thomas, we want to thank you for your review. We were happy and satisfied to have had you as guests in our Villa Ninetta and to have taken care of our house. We advise the owners of other accommodation facilities to have you as guests.
Greetings to all of you.
You are always welcome.
Sara and Natale.
Villa actually better than it looks in the photographs that must have been taken shortly after the renovation. Pool and surround one of the best we've had and lovely to sit by in the evening. Everything worked and Villa was very clean. Position high up along an unmade road with great views and not overlooked. A few bumps along the track so need to drive slowly but only takes 5 minutes to reach the town and local supermarkets (recommended). Very well looked after by Natale and his family. Villa and Scopello well worth visiting.

Great situation, lovely villa.
As per other reviews, Villa Ninetta is far better than the photos suggest. Situated near the top of a steep gravel track, the villa command excellent views over Scopello - about 1km away. The villa is clean, tidy, spacious and very well-equipped - it served our party of 4 excellently.
Scopello itself is a vibrant little village, with nice bars etc, and a few nice shops. The mercato down the road is more like a deli - excellent. It's well place for the beautiful Lo Zingaro reserve, for Erice, Selinunte, etc.
Would happily return. For more details of activities in the area & in Sicily as a whole, check out www.WinsterCavers.org.uk

Fantastisch huis, fantastische plek!
Mooi, klein huis op een afgelegen plek. Auto noodzakelijk.
Scopello is schattig. Het strand Guidaloca werd onze favoriet.

grande casa, grandi persone

Wonderful Stay
We really enjoyed our visit to Natale and Sara's vacation house. Our hosts were welcoming, energetic, and truly committed to making sure we had the perfect holiday. When we arrived, they had built a fire in the fireplace, showed us around, and left us some delectable goodies. The house is about a kilometer up a bumpy dirt road from the center of Scopello, with a view of the mountains and the bay. Centrally located and a reasonable distance from all of the sights in western Sicily. The kitchen is well appointed, the three bedrooms were perfect for our group of five, and the outdoor space was pleasant (though we were there in January, so it was a bit cool for sitting outside). All in all, we had an excellent stay and would highly recommend this house.

Beautiful villa in the hills
In reality, the actual "Villa Ninetta" is much better than what you see in the photos online - what a great and surprising discovery! It's located within walking distance from picturesque Scopello, but far enough from the town to be a real haven in the hills.
When we arrived, we were greeted at the house by Sara and Natale with coffee “granita” - super nice, generous and helpful hosts. Although our Italian was somewhat rusty, communication was not a problem. There were even treats waiting for us in the refrigerator - homemade tomato passata (amazing!) and Sicilian lemon granita. They also gave us a whole bottle of olive oil, made from olives from their very own garden. Also, the hosts asked us to eat as many tomatoes and zucchini from their vegetable garden just next to the house - we did - and we had trouble keeping up with all the ripening ones. Delicious!
The house is impeccably clean, and surprisingly spacious (3 bedrooms - 2 queen size beds, and one room with two single beds - plus a big living room area and a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, refrigerator, pots, pans, dishes, etc.). The house is newly renovated, so everything was literally shining. In addition to the standard bathroom in the house there's a shower outside. Also, there’s a laundry room with a modern washing machine. And in the backyard area there’s a large exterior gas grill and extra double sink.
Outside of the house is a wonderful patio with a big table where we ate all of our meals. The best part of the house is its location - it's on a hill at the foot of a mountain, surrounded by olive trees, and spaced comfortably from other neighbors.
Access to beaches and things to do nearby - I would recommend having a car and driving to different beaches. The closest beach in Scopello is maybe a 20 minute walk from the house. But because the house is up on the hill it can be quite a hike to get back - we loved it, but some people wouldn't.
It's very close to Riserva Zingaro, beautiful for hikes and beaches.
One con of the place is the chlorinated tap water - you can't drink or cook with it. They supply plenty of cooking water from the well in the center of the main square in Scopello, but you have to provide your own bottled drinking water.
So if you want to fully immerse yourself in the beautiful Sicilian countryside, in a very private villa up in the hills - I highly recommend this place.

Soggiorno consigliato!
