When it comes to location, you can’t beat Beachcomber #301: The 3rd-floor condo is just yards from the beach, even closer to the oceanfront pool, a stroll from the famed Jacksonville Beach Pier and boardwalk, and only a quick car ride from the attractions and nightlife of Jacksonville itself. But as well as being perfectly situated, Beachcomber #301 is a delight in and of itself, with its airy sunlit rooms and serene, comfortable furnishings.
With two bedrooms and bathrooms, the condo is spacious enough to house two couples or a family with kids. You are going to love the luxury of the king-sized bed in the master bedroom, and the queen size alternative in the other bedroom is no less lavish. Each bedroom includes flat panel TVs, wireless internet and all the fixtures you need for modern living. The bay windows facing the ocean are just what you need to bring the crisp breeze blowing off the ocean to your living quarters. Both bedrooms have this form of access.
Each room is designed to be spacious without a hint of meanness to the furnishing or amenities. Even with such large and opulent beds as well as roomy closets, there are still adequate empty spaces in the bedrooms for the kids to play and learn. It is all the invitation they need to take their out their action figures and train sets and let their imagination and fantasies take flight. You can also plug in the gaming console and race off to another world. This is a house where imagination and creativity are nurtured.
While sweet dreams are all but ensured in Beachcomber #301’s bedrooms, the condo’s living room is just as restful. Sink back into the plush couch, put up your feet, and settle in for the big game or binge-watching your favorite show on the large flat-screen TV. Or maybe you want to play a game with the kids--or take advantage of the free wifi while the kids sprawl on the floor with their action figures and crafts. Open the window and the door to the balcony and invite the crisp ocean breeze into the room!
Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen, with both a dining table and a breakfast bar. While dining out can be a highlight of a vacation (and there are plenty of fabulous restaurants nearby!), sometimes it’s nice to enjoy a relaxing family meal at home. Our kitchen has just about everything you need, whether you’re microwaving leftovers or showing off your culinary prowess: major and not-so-major appliances, pots and pans, and plenty of tableware to serve it all up--plus a dishwasher to help clean up afterward! All you have to supply is the food--and thanks to the full-size refrigerator/freezer, you can stock up once at the start of your stay and then forget about grocery shopping for the rest of your trip.
Tucked away beside the kitchen is a full-size washer and dryer--yet another reason to pack light! You can run a load of laundry while you’re exploring the boardwalk, surfing the waves, or lazing beside the pool. Given how frequently you’ll be dashing from pool to beach to condo, changing in and out of your bathing suits, the washer and dryer will really come in handy.
You could easily while away entire days without hopping into your car once--good thing there’s free parking! Should you tire of swimming, surfing, beachcombing, and fishing, though, there’s plenty to do just a quick drive away. You can hit the links at the municipal course or nearby TPC Sawgrass (home of the annual PGA Players Tournament).
You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to outdoor activities and distractions. The oceanfront pier is a great place to watch the sunsets and soak up the atmosphere. You could even organize a family picnic on the odd weekend, soaking the balmy sun and relaxing with the sound of lapping waves as a backdrop. If you are inclined to get more of the action at the pier, bring along your fishing tackle, lay it and wait for a bite. The oceanfront waters attract plenty of trout, catfish, and flounder. You may even get a glimpse of the odd shark just offshore!
Nature lovers will want to take advantage of being so close to the famed Intracoastal Waterway, with its biking, boating, and bird watching, while the kids will love Adventure Landing water park. Beachcomber #301 is just a few blocks from the A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byway, giving you easy access to the historic sights of St. Augustine to the south as well as to all the activities of Jacksonville itself.
Surf, sand, sun, and sights: It’s all practically at your doorstep when you stay at Beachcomber #301. Make this the base of your next vacation, and book your stay today.
This property has optional access to the prestigious 5 diamond resort The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club.

Great location, clean house
We had a great time on our long weekend stay at this condo. The location is great just a short walk to the beach and many resturants and bars are only several blocks as well. I would highly recomend this to anyone looking to visit the jacksonville beach area. The place is the perfect size for 4 people to stay and is very clean and modern.
Serviceable, worn out, hotel would have been cheaper, nicer
Property was clean but worn out. Amenities are minimal. Got the impression it was intended as a rental for people that would break stuff so it was minimally furnished with kitchen supplies, furniture etc. that didn't matter. (e.g. deck chair used as side chair made of PVC pipe.) Many things "almost" broken.....Dryer, toilet. No cases for spare pillows. Ad did not mention two flights of stairs to get in the apartment or the construction in apartment downstairs etc. It's the kind of place to rent if you are never going to be there and just need a place to sleep, park and put your stuff. But, for $25 more you could get a really nice place.
Outside Building run down and dirty and paint flaking off.
Blankets and pillows very thin
Dryer very nousy
Toilets not flush properly
No instructions for use of TV and electronic devices.
Garbage container couldn't be found.
Location is ideal; property is decent for short stays
The location of this property is perfect...right on the beach with close access to everything. We were there for 25 days and loved that. The unit itself was decent. The bedrooms were reasonable size with comfortable beds, but no extra blankets. Kitchen and family area very small with minimal kitchen supplies, e.g. only 2 coffee cups, and there were three of us so I had to go out to buy more coffee cups (no we did not leave them behind), very few pots/pans and no baking dish...which is probably fine if you are there only a week and not cooking, but not ideal place for spending 25 days. carpets were very dirty, so I tried to vacuum with one of the two vacuum cleaners there...one would not pick up at all and the other didn't work much better. I reported this to VBRO, and they dropped off a new one, and once I vacuumed with that it looked great, but shame on the cleaning crew for not taking care of that.
Not sure what the owners have to pay to the homeowners association monthly but whatever it is, it is too much...the pool area not appealing at all, and furniture there very dirty.
We had one issue that was disturbing and not VBRO fault, although they did not respond to any of my follow up inquiries advising me if the owner knew of the problem or what could be done...guessing they did not know how to handle...the owner of the unit above us had an autistic child and every time the furnace or ac clicked on in our unit (at night when he was sleeping) he would go crazy, so she asked us not to runs ours at night. If we did she would come knocking on our door at midnight or 7:30am...I feel for her and wanted to not contribute to the problem; she said she would do this to all future renters as well, because she is desperate. But this is a big problem. VBRO did not help me and never told me if they told the owner, but he should know. I won't stay there again just because 3.5 weeks of regular visits from her were hard to handle, even though I know if it were my child I would do the same.
So for a week or less, this place is ok, but for longer than that, look elsewhere (I also thought the price was a bit higher than warranted)
Had a great vacation
Directions should have bee to south 1st st not north. Property was clean and nice. Fun bars and restaurants with in walking distance.
Great looation to, beach, pool, resturants, and downtown Jax-Beach. clean unit had everthing needed for the week
