3 Bedroom with loft, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 8
This secluded and cozy tri-level condo is in the Villas development one mile from Tahoe City. It has 3 bedrooms and a loft, with 2 bathrooms, and sleeps 8 people.
Downstairs are two bedrooms with a queen bed each, and a shared bathroom with tub and shower. At the entry level is another bedroom with a queen bed and bathroom with shower. The beds are dressed in crisp cotton sheets with fluffy down comforters and pillows. Half a flight upstairs is the living and dining room, kitchen and deck. The living area is open to the loft above, which has 2 twin beds. The loft is accessible by a sturdy, built-in ladder (probably not be suitable for very young children, but perfect for older children and teens to have their own space ).
The living area has a wood burning fireplace (with firewood), a fully equipped kitchen, and a BBQ on the deck which is peacefully situated in the pine trees with a smidge of a view across the lake. Other amenities include wifi, cable HDTV, beach and picnic supplies, washer/dryer, and an array of games and books.
At the entry to the Villas (a 2 minute walk from our unit) is a bike/walking trail to town and points beyond such as the trail along the Truckee River or along the lake to Sugar Pine Point. Ski areas such as Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, and Homewood are about 15 minutes away. Tahoe City has many fine restaurants, shopping and museums. Local beaches and parks such as Skylandia Beach and Tahoe City Commons are a short distance by foot, bike or car. There is a weekly farmer's market at the Commons, as well as music and activities on summer holidays.
The Clubhouse at the Villas has a lovely pool in a park setting with tall pines, tennis courts, and a sauna, which is included for guests. You will find big fluffy towels for the pool in our unit.
We are strictly a non smoking unit, do not permit loud or raucous parties, limit the number of people staying in the condo to 8 or less, and ask that you respect our place as you would your own. Pets are permitted only after discussion with us.
We are happy to share our recommendations for activities and answer any questions you may have about Tahoe. We hope you will be comfortable enjoying lovely Tahoe while visiting our condo.

Very clean, comfortable and convenient location to ski areas. We found that we had to turn the forced air heat down to 55 at night to prevent the heater from keeping us awake at night. That made the downstairs pretty cold, but we slept better. It was very quiet and a great place to stay while skiing at Squaw or Alpine Springs. Lake Tahoe is spectacular.
Comfortable digs, good location, price right
This condo in The Villas is close to Tahoe City at a reasonable price. As an older condo the furniture is somewhat dated but the beds are very comfortable and with cozy comforters. The modern kitchen is well stocked with dishes, every possible kind of utensil and appliance, and even condiments and paper napkins. We appreciated the large dining room table. Placemats would have been helpful. We were three but it would be well suited for a larger family, as we did not use the loft. Problems with the TV were solved by the owner upon notice. A faulty thermostat gave ueven heat but the owner advises it has now been replaced.
Property as described- great location!
There was plenty of space for our two families. Parking was easy and close. Fireplace was great! Plenty of dishes and pots and pans. Would have liked some space in kitchen to store groceries and dry goods. Appreciated the space heater in the lower room. Clean with nice linens!
Very comfortable & quiet condo. Easy access (about 1 mi.) to Tahoe City.
While we enjoyed our 2-night stay, parts of the condo are a little smaller than expected - most notably the bedroom and bathroom just inside the front door. Also, the loft really seems to be a difficult area to access. However, the condo contained pretty much everything needed. One piece of advice: if you're a coffee drinker, be sure to bring your own! The condo has everything for coffee except for the coffee. Communication with the owner prior to our stay was excellent and directions to the condo were very complete.
This is a nice condo. Needs some work but overall we enjoyed our stay.
This condo is centrally located to the activities we wanted to do in and around Tahoe City.
Family friendly condo in convenient location.
The condo is just outside the main drag of Tahoe City. The complex is nicely kept up and the condo itself was clean and had all the amenities we needed. We cooked everyday and there was enough kitchenware for the six of us. Carolyn was very responsive and gave helpful information regarding her place. We enjoyed our stay.
