Lake Forest Townhome Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedroom with loft, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 8

This secluded and cozy tri-level condo is in the Villas development one mile from Tahoe City. It has 3 bedrooms and a loft, with 2 bathrooms, and sleeps 8 people.

Downstairs are two bedrooms with a queen bed each, and a shared bathroom with tub and shower. At the entry level is another bedroom with a queen bed and bathroom with shower. The beds are dressed in crisp cotton sheets with fluffy down comforters and pillows. Half a flight upstairs is the living and dining room, kitchen and deck. The living area is open to the loft above, which has 2 twin beds. The loft is accessible by a sturdy, built-in ladder (probably not be suitable for very young children, but perfect for older children and teens to have their own space ).

The living area has a wood burning fireplace (with firewood), a fully equipped kitchen, and a BBQ on the deck which is peacefully situated in the pine trees with a smidge of a view across the lake. Other amenities include wifi, cable HDTV, beach and picnic supplies, washer/dryer, and an array of games and books.

At the entry to the Villas (a 2 minute walk from our unit) is a bike/walking trail to town and points beyond such as the trail along the Truckee River or along the lake to Sugar Pine Point. Ski areas such as Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, and Homewood are about 15 minutes away. Tahoe City has many fine restaurants, shopping and museums. Local beaches and parks such as Skylandia Beach and Tahoe City Commons are a short distance by foot, bike or car. There is a weekly farmer's market at the Commons, as well as music and activities on summer holidays.

The Clubhouse at the Villas has a lovely pool in a park setting with tall pines, tennis courts, and a sauna, which is included for guests. You will find big fluffy towels for the pool in our unit.

We are happy to share our recommendations for activities and answer any questions you may have about Tahoe. As well, we put current literature about the happenings around the lake on the bookshelves in the living area. We hope you will be comfortable enjoying lovely Tahoe while visiting our condo.

Clean And Comfortable Family Friendly Condo In Tahoe City, With Pool
average rating of 4.6 based on 15 reviews

Very clean, attractive condo, locally situated to Tahoe city.

  • 4 of 5

We were two, over 75 years old, women, who felt comfortable in this well organized condo. Directions were clear and the owner responsive to questions. I used the club swimming pool and it was clean and well kept up. Beds were comfortable and coverings adequate for the cooler fall weather. We loved looking out at the trees surrounding the complex. I would recommend this condo for families with older children because of a high loft accessible only by ladder.

Great location - quiet, secluded, neat, tidy and clean. Nice "lodge" feel - comfortable but spacious

  • 5 of 5

Really felt like it was our "home" for the weekend. We were very pleased with this property and would love to come again! The owner provided us with instructions, directions, and recommendations. Nice property - made us want to consider having a vacation home in Tahoe :) Thank you for a great stay!

Comfortable, cozy property nestled in the pines

  • 5 of 5

We four adults enjoyed our time here. There was good privacy for us all. The 2 full baths made it convenient for us. It was well stocked in the kitchen also. We appreciated having towels for the pool and towels along with a blanket for the beach. There is a small cooler and other items a day at the lake might require. The internet was excellent, sometimes there were 4 of us using it with no problems. The TV had many, many channels for entertainment. There are board games and even books.

The owner Carolyn was very responsive when I wrote to her and truly cares about making the visit worry free.

There are so many great place to go and to eat nearby. PDQ for sandwiches, Sunnyside on the patio lakeside & Bridgetender outside by the river, The Dam cafe for the breakfast burritos, and the Firesign cafe. Squaw Valley is only 12 minutes away and has a gondola to the top where you can swim, rollerskate, hike and enjoy a meal. Emerald Bay and Vikingsholm are about 20 minutes away.

It was very good to enjoy vacation around Lake Tahoe.

  • 4 of 5

It was very good to use this family friendly condo. I have just two recommends about it.

1) Pool is the first condition during my vacation because of my kids, but there are a lot of bugs there, so it was very good if it was clean.

2) Indoor temperature was good for me, but for my parents, it was a little cold at night. I turned on heater, but even if it was enough in living room, two rooms were not good to make it be warm. It must be checked.

Even though uncomfortable above, it was very good in my memory during vacation.

Thanks a lot.

Owner's Response: I am sorry to hear about the bugs in the pool. This is not my experience when we are there. I will be contacting the Homeowners Association about this so that it does not happen in the future. There is a portable heater in one of the closets. This usually helps with warming up a particular room. I am, however, pleased that you enjoyed your stay. I thank you for taking good care of our family condo.

Great family condo

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here with our four kids and had a wonderful time. While this place is older, there were lots of nice details that made this place great for a family. A well stocked pantry with basics for cooking, charcoal and grilling utinsels ready for the grill, and great guide books available to help explore the area. We also loved the comfortable beds, condo pool, and Carolyn was great to work with.

Just as advertised

  • 4 of 5

We spent days looking at condos at Tahoe before we picked this one. The price and location were right and the layout and bedrooms fit our extended family. The owner is a good communicator and answered all of our questions. Everything was just as expected when we arrived. The condo is very well stocked - lots of extras. The location in Tahoe City is perfect - close to town, but quiet. We enjoyed the pool and tennis courts. We would go back again.
