This Oceanfront Resort HAS IT ALL!!

Fantastic 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo resort. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean from the patio just steps from the white sandy beach. Make sure you head out to the pier each evening at sunset to see picture postcard views.

This condo suite is updated with all new furniture and boasts two large bedrooms and two private baths. In the Master Suite, there is a King sized bed along with dresser, night stands, large closet and big screen TV. Wake up each morning to the rolling surf just outside your sliding doors to the patio. The Guest Suite has two Twin beds (conversion to King upon request) as well as dresser, night stand, large closet and big screen TV. The living room features a sleeper sofa, recliner, and additional seating as well as a big screen TV. High speed internet/WiFi provided.

The full kitchen has everything you'll need to prepare a romantic gourmet meal, or just Margaritas! There is a washer and dryer located in the unit as well as central air conditioning and remote controlled ceiling fans throughout. This is a very comfortable layout for couples or a family.

Relax on your private beach or beside the temperature-controlled swimming pool. Stroll out to our private fishing pier and throw your line in to catch the best fish in the Keys. (fishing gear is provided) Choose your dining pleasure locally at 4 seafood restaurants within .25 miles. You are also within walking distance to multiple charter fishing opportunities and a dive shop to head out and enjoy the water for a day.

Casa Clara Resort boasts private tennis courts on-site, and a nine-hole golf course is less than a mile away.

Nearly ALL listed activities are within walking/cycling distance from the resort, with a designated bike lane throughout the island for you to walk, run, cycle or rollerblade.

Airplane and Helicopter Sightseeing tours located within 1 mile. Power boat rentals are a short walk/bike away.

For your pleasure, bicycles are provided during your entire stay!!

If you'd like to spend the day sightseeing in the Keys, there are many options to choose from. Key West is only an hour drive to the south. Or head north to the Dolphin Research Center or to Theatre of the Sea where you can enjoy a variety of tours, shows and sea life encounters. In Marathon, daily tours are offered at The Turtle Hospital, Crane Point Natural Hammock, or the Pigeon Key historic site.

Beautiful Condominium Complex

Love the area. Beautiful grounds, warm pool, nice beach, fishing pier and people were very friendly. Key Colony Beach is a wonderful island with many activities going on. We enjoyed the tennis and pickleball courts. We did not use the bikes provided since we brought our own, but they are very nice. The condo definitely needs updating. Living room sofa was not comfortable. Bathrooms are very small. Primary bed was comfortable. Kitchen is stocked well. Appliances worked great except there is no ice maker. We were very disappointed in the sliding doors. The primary bedroom doors did not work at all, never able to use. The living room doors were very hard to open even after we cleaned the tracks. We had to run the A/C the whole time because we couldn't open doors or use the screens. Living room doors were the main doors we used since they walked out to a nice little patio. Owner said he will fix doors when he comes down next time.

Nice but needs two critical upgrades

I would love to give this property 5 stars because it truly has a lot of good things going for it. But, the two negatives made sleeping very hard, so that drops the overall score way down. Pros: * The location is really great. Key Colony Beach is super laid back and easy going place. * Casa Clara (the complex) is very beautifully kept up and a quiet and very safe complex. * the unit itself was pretty clean. * the property manager was quick to respond and check in and check out were so easy (big plus!) * the kitchen is nicely equipped with good appliances and everything you need * the furniture (excluding the bedrooms) is very clean and seems new * while the unit isn’t ocean view (unless you sit in the one dining room chair that can see the reflection of the ocean in the mirrored wall), there is a nice little patio where you can see the ocean and the ocean and pool are just steps away. Now for the negatives: * the bedrooms leave a lot to be desired. The beds are terribly uncomfortable - and not like everyone has a different taste in beds bad, but as in super uncomfortable. (We even tried sticking blankets and towels on the master bed but could still feel springs and ridges in the bed) * the bedrooms need black out curtains! There is an exterior hallway right outside the master and then walkway lights right outside the second room. You can literally read a book in the middle of the night without turning on a light (I know, I tested it out when I was awake at 3am as if LT felt like it was sunrise in the room). Even if the HOA requires the white blinds that are currently on the windows, this situation could be easily resolved with curtains over the windows. * put an extension cord/ power strip for accessible plugs near the beds! Overall, this condo was nice. We would stay there again IF they got new mattresses and put up curtains (out of the four of us, two are light sleepers and two are very heavy sleepers who can sleep most anywhere; but unfortunately none of us slept well because of these two issues).

Location & Complex wonderful

First of all, the condo is managed by the owner who lives out of state. Therefore any issues we had we had to contact him by phone. He had no one in the area that could do routine maintenance. I gave one star for cleanliness of the Condo do to the fact that upon our arrival we walked into the unit and found it had not been cleaned after the previous renter had left that morning. After phones calls with the owner we managed to work out the matter. He stated we would get a credit for that night, and $100 for a nice dinner. Housekeepers showed up the next day at 6PM’ish and left around 7PM’ish. The closet door in the master was off the track, the blinds on the second bedroom window were on the floor, the patio door in the master we could not get open or the blinds on it. The screen on the patio door in the living room was torn and did not open very easily. These are minor repairs but when there is no one down there to take care of the fixes it is very disturbing. Communication with the owner was very good, but again he could not fix anything for us while we were there for 15 days. The location is great, the complex is great, the people staying in other units were great. The owner has offered a discount for 2024 if we wish to come down again. We are still thinking about his offer. Having just gone through the pandemic, the fact that we were in a place that the previous renters had just left 6 hours before us was disturbing. The upside was that the owner was at least easy to communicate with, he was very apologetic as well as embarrassed. WE were lucky that the previous renters had left the unit neat, the kitchen was tidy no dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The management of the complex has nothing to do with the unit we were in as the owner uses VRBO and not them to rent the unit. The time there was heavenly, 80 + degrees, blue sky, bright sun NO RAIN for 15 days.

Paradise at Casa Clara

My husband and I stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bath fully furnished apartment and enjoyed every minute of it. Very relaxing and quiet. My only complaint is bathroom size. They are small with little counter space. Kitchen was very nice and I love having washer/dryer in the apartment. We will definitely be back!

This 2 bedroom condo is perfect! Has all you need to enjoy your stay in Key Colony Beach. Great restaurants with bands and happy hour in walking distance. The best of both worlds right outside your back door with a well maintained pool overlooking the ocean connected to a private peer for those who stay in the condo complex. Key Colony has a tranquil feel to it and is centrally located in Marathon where you have everything you need. You are less than an hour from Key West. The people are friendly and you'll find it easy to park or walk around this area. The Manager, Rob was a pleasure to deal with! Can't wait to go back!

Vacation in Paradise!!!

Casa Clara was beautiful!! Loved the courtyard with all of the beautiful plants. The condo was super clean with all of the amenities you could ask for. The beach is steps from the property where we could snorkel and fish all day. The salt water pool was so nice after a day at the beach with lounges, umbrellas and tables for relaxing or entertaining your family. Any questions we had, Rob was happy to answer and very helpful with the area and all of its attractions and restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised with amount of things to do in Marathon and the surrounding Keys! We went to Bahia Honda beach which is listed as the most beautiful beach in North America! It did not disappoint!! It was gorgeous! We went on The Marathon Lady and reeled in lots of fish that we brought to the restaurant in town and had delicious fish tacos. Rob provides two bicycles and we rode around Colony Key every morning. There is a really nice golf course within walking distance and at least three restaurants within walking distance as well. We highly recommend this property it was a relaxing vacation in paradise!!

Paradise Well Maintained!

We loved the location. Key Colony Beach is a good" Starting-off " for many things to do. With bikes provided, we enjoyed the local sights. We loved the ocean view from the terrace, out our back door, the Under-water Lighted Pier, the beautiful pool. The home was newly decorated, clean, well-appointed and comfortable. We would go back in a "Heartbeat". Would love to stay longer the next time. I would recommend this spot to my friends. So much to do or just relaxing on the sand.

Great location, clean, comfortable condo

Communication about check in could have been better. Owner said anytime after 4p, we arrived at 5:15p and condo property manager had left for the day. There was no note or envelope left for us in the condo office. We called the number on the door and was told our condo was open and keys were on the counter. Condo was clean and living room, dining room is comfortably furnished. Both bedrooms were very nice with wonderful beds/mattresses/linens. Very comfortable. Nice TV's were in living room and each bedroom. To our surprise some pantry items, paper items, toiletries were left for our use. The bathrooms need to be updated. The kitchen is very much in need of an update. The kitchen was adequately but not overly equipped. We had to go to the dollar store and purchase measuring spoons, cheese grater and those aluminum foil pans to use in oven. On a Sunday when the property manager was not there, the air conditioning went out and fans in the dining room/living room also stopped working. My husband was able to locate the breaker and restarted the air conditioning but could not figure out the fans. We did not report because we were leaving on Tuesday and planned to report it at check out, but when we left the property manager was not there. Location, location, location, it was beautiful. Pool and fishing pier on the beach was great and bottom floor condo was located near both. My biggest disappointment in the condo was the view from within the condo. There was none, the view was the side of the opposite building. The condo is located on the side of the building, ground floor, middle. Even sitting on the patio, view is somewhat limited. I say this only because when booking this condo, I looked at the picture he had of the view "Oceanside" which looked like it was off the balcony from inside the condo. That is not the view from the condo. But saying this, the condo is very close to reaching the pool, beach and fishing pier.

Clean and Comfortable Unit Steps to the Ocean

The unit is exceptionally clean and comfortable. We had everything needed to enjoy our stay-- including very comfortable beds and secure WIFI. I had a a few questions before and during our stay and Robert was very responsive and timely with responses. Make sure if you visit KCB to check out Sparky's (a five minute walk from the unit) for the best Fish Tacos EVER! Or for a more retro vibe, enjoy dinner at Castaways in downtown Marathon -- it's been a local favorite for over 40 years!

Great time at Casa Clara!!

Just returned from the most relaxing vacation in Marathon Key! The condo was so clean, comfortable and fully equipped. There wasn't one thing that we needed that wasn't already there. It was especially helpful to have a washer and dryer in the condo. I loved sitting out on our patio and being able to see the water, birds and iguanas right from the condo. My husband and I also enjoyed coming home from a day out and relaxing by the pool before dinner. There are plenty of comfortable lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas. The condo is located in Key Colony in walking distance to sunset park, a marina and many delicious restaurants. We especially liked Sparkys for dinner. My husband and I had such a relaxing vacation here we will definitely return either alone for another couples getaway or with our 2 kids- there is definitely enough room! Can't wait to return to the Keys!!

perfect condo !

My girlfriend and I stayed here at the Casa Clara Resort in key colony beach and we had a blast. Condo is very clean and cozy. The pool ( ocean front view ) it's 20 steps from the door and the beach is 10 steps from the pool it was PERFECT! We highly reccomend staying here as we will make this a every year vacation spot!!

Relaxing vacation!

Our family really enjoyed our stay in Key Colony Beach. The condo was perfect for our stay....oceanfront pool, shuffleboard, tennis, bikes, private pier. Very quiet neighborhood. The property manager was extremely nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend Robert's property!

Best Vacation Ever!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!

We took the kids on a two week getaway and this was the best vacation we've ever had!! This resort rental had everything for my wife and kids at our fingertips. How great it was to watch the kids at the pool from our patio with our frozen drinks while looking at the ocean!! The kids loved the tennis courts and having their own bikes. The owners provide tennis racquets, fishing poles, and bikes which was a nice touch. The unit itself was very nice, and everything seemed to be brand new! My wife especially liked having the bathroom in the master suite and the kids liked the big screen TV's. We walked to all the local restaurants during our stay, and especially liked Cabana Breezes which is right next door. They were so nice there and the food was great! We drove to Key West (twice!!), which was awesome and we made it there in an hour. Thank you again Rob, and we'll see you next year!!!
