Great apartment, incredible location for walking around Palermo!
We had a very nice stay in the apartment. I brought up a couple of things with the owner Elena and she was very responsive to my suggestions to improve a couple of things.
I would encourage renting this apartment...also her nephew Andrea was great...very helpful and responsible and even ordered a taxi for us to the airport on our final day.
Thank you very much Charles!
The suggestions of guests are important to me because I would like to make their stay in Palermo as beautiful as possible in order to enjoy my city that I love so much!
Thanks again and see you soon!
Great access to city!
This is as expected in center of action. Got to see almost all of Palermo. All walkable. Go to all markets , beautiful city! Drove to aggregento , they had parking garage for us. Grazie!
Just loved it!
We had a most wonderful stay in this apartment. Everything was provided to make it a comfortable and relaxing stay in Palermo which is exactly what we needed. Comfy bed, lovely shower, adequately equipped kitchen but we didn’t do any cooking as eating out is so reasonable in Palermo and the food, so delicious. The 2 balconies made it perfect! Even although the apartment is right in the historic centre of Palermo, the Quattro Canti, it is very quiet, on the 6th floor and at the back of the building. The street outside is limited to vehicles so there is little traffic noise. Our greatest pleasure was just wandering the streets, visiting the markets, eating yummy food and sitting in street cafes watching the world go by. We also went to Cefalù (twice) by train, and Monreale and Mondello, by bus. All very easy and accessible. We will definitely be back! Thank you Elena. Your advice on getting the shared taxi service from and to the airport was excellent. Quick and just as cheap as the bus.
Thank you Dewi! I hope to see you again!
Very satisfied and pleased with our stay.
Great location in the historic area. Would recommend to friends.
Thank you James !
I'll wait for you with your friends with great pleasure!
It's all about the location!
Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying that the apartment wasn't fantastic because it was, but it's position in the centre of old Palermo was the key to our enjoyment. We stayed there for six days and it is situated only a few steps from the Quattro Canto the beating heart of the old city. We were met by Andrea, Elena's charming nephew who quickly showed us how everything worked and gave us some great local restaurant recommendations. We had a car but Elena arranged a secure reserved space for us in the basement of the building for an extra €10 per day. Do note that the apartment is in the ZTL (Zone of Traffic Limitation) and you have to pay €5 a day if you want to drive in the ZTL during the week - weekends free. You can buy ZTL scratchcards from most tobacco shops and then text the code to a central number. The air conditioned apartment is on the top floor, is accessed via a lift and has views east across rooftops. It has all the expected facilities to suit a couple but can sleep four at a push. Everywhere is walkable and we only used the car a couple of times to visit Monreale and the coast at Mondello. Don't hesitate to stay at L'Penthouse 261 if you're in Palermo - you'll love it.
Thank you Richard! I hope to see you again!

The property is located in the heart of the historic center of Palermo 50 meters from the "Quattro Canti" or the intersection of the two main streets of Palermo, Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Via Maqueda, where they rise the four convex facades of the wonderful buildings secenteschi.
At 20 meters from the hotel entrance there is Piazza Pretoria, the center of this beautiful piazza is a spectacular fountain of concentric circles with a riot of gods, nymphs, monsters, animal heads, allegories, ornamental staircases and balustrades, plays d ' water that enliven and animate without breaking the compositional balance that characterizes it.
A 100 from the building there is the ancient Vucciria market with its dense network of narrow streets and squares allows you to find all the ingredients of the Sicilian cuisine; the colorful stalls are full of wooden boxes which, thanks to the colors of the merchandise, they turn into gold chests filled with lemons, fresh and salted sardines silver, bronze olive and coral dried tomatoes.
500m away from the house is the "cathedral of Palermo" that releases all the power of the Arab-Norman culture and that from July 3, 2015 is part of the World Heritage (UNESCO).
These are just a few and the most famous landmarks that allow you to taste the different cultures that have marked the history, culture and traditions of Sicily.
But through a pleasant walk through the streets of downtown you can admire the numerous monuments (churches, museums, cloisters and crypts, squares, fountains, villas etc.) and will also not be difficult to enjoy great food Sicilian cooking (fritters, caponata , pasta with sardines, pasta with broccoli, sfincione etc.) world-renown for its variety due to the influences of the many dominations occurred in history.
Finally the location of this property is ideal to enjoy the most appreciated by Palermo: "The Feast of Santa Rosalia". 14 evening, the city dresses up and laden wagons, music and performances of all kinds through its Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, ending with fireworks fired at the sound of music in the port of Palermo. An unforgettable sight.
