I once lived in Harbor Springs full time and started a family there, and have been spending summers and other weekends throughout the year since 1991.

Why Carmen Ludy chose Northwest

This special home was built by a city founder, merchant, and President of its first bank. It's been owned by four local families in its 85 year history, some of whose descendants still reside in town. Its prime location and unusual siting on the lot and large picture windows maximizes the lake view. The size of the lot also allows for family games--front yard and back!

What makes this house unique

It's all about the VIEWS and LOCATION! You have to see it to believe it! The unique floor plan allowed us to completely update the home for today's lifestyle. This includes four bathrooms (two en suite), two sinks in the modern kitchen, a very practical back entry "mudroom", original hardwood floors throughout, a butler pantry off the kitchen and dining rooms to make entertaining a breeze, a first floor laundry room with laundry tub and in-wall ironing board, all while maintaining the home's integrity and 'prairie style' design with architectural elements and some furnishings. The new landscaping and patio provides a great "summer" experience with a stone patio featuring a new gas grill, patio table, and gas fire pit with cushioned seating. A wonderful second floor "sleeping porch" provides another space for reading and napping, plus floor space for twin air mattresses to sleep two more little bodies.

Extended Family Gathering - Perfect!!

I do not know how this house could be any better. The house is beautiful, both inside and outside. All of the rooms were well appointed. Besides the 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, the common areas (living room, TV room, sleeping porch) made the house perfect for everyone. The chef's kitchen was stocked with the best appliances and plenty of place settings for a large group.

Regarding its location, the views from the front porch are as beautiful as the pictures. The house is a short walk down the bluff to town and a bike rental shop. A short walk to the grocery store. Easy access to the 26 mile "Little Traverse Wheelway" bike path and easy access for a drive north to the "Tunnel of Trees."

Bucket List!

We have always wanted to stay on Bluff Street with its view of the town, harbor and bay. The bonus for this visit, besides this remarkable home, were the Christmas lights and the town's splendid Christmas tree.

The owner's description of their home does not do it justice.

Woderful Family Vacation

This georgous home with a beautiful overlook provided plenty of room for our annual family vacation Up North.

This home is spacious both inside and out making our stay very comfortable.

It is conveniently close to several nearby attractions and walking distance to downtown Harbour Springs.

Working with the owner was a pleasure.

Great Family Vacation

We were celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary and wanted a special place for our children and grandchildren to be together. We chose this home because of the stunning view and the convenience of everything we wanted to do in the area. The front porch was marvelous for family time and relaxation. The boardwalk across the street made easy access to the main business area, the beach and the dock with the beautiful yachts. The owner was most gracious in working with us and making the home ready for us when we arrived. For the price we paid, and what we received in five bedrooms, four baths and a beautiful home made our Anniversary and our family time together very memorable. We had to make a security deposit which was promptly returned to us by the owner. Well worth the money.
