About Diane Lindberg
This is my childhood home, recently & totally renovated. We are proud of our Finnish heritage and that's why we chose the Sisu name. Sisu in Finnish means tenacity in the face of adversity, guts, 'stick to it'- tiveness
What makes this House unique
We wanted to keep the feeling and charm of an older home. But we do enjoy and have installed modern comforts (most recent: central air conditioning and WIFI)

Cute and comfy house with lots of amenities!
My husband and I brought my parents for their 53rd wedding anniversary. I have been trying to do this for a while one thing or another kept it from happening. With everyone healthy this year, I surprised my parents with this mini-vacation! They have done nothing like this before and they very much enjoyed their time here. My mom and I marveled over the workmanship and style of the house. My mom loved all of the books too. My husband and my dad enjoyed the backyard fire pit. Actually, we all did. 😀
Diane was wonderful and very accommodating!
The house was within easy driving distance from Gooseberry Falls, Split Rock, and Tettegouche state parks. We did them all. We definitely want to stay here again!
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at our Sisu House. It was fun to meet you, come again. Diane and Eric
Very comfortable stay in a beautifully renovated “Sisu” house....!
We had an opportunity to stay at “Sisu” house during our latest trip to North Shore. It was a a very comfortable 2 night stay in a beautiful and newly renovated house that was kept very clean and well organized.
House is very thoughtfully built with all the modern amenities that I could hope for on our small trip. There is outside little grill and fire pit that we did not get time to use. House has got 2 rooms one queen and other full bed. 3-4 people can comfortably stay in the house.
We will certainly consider this place again for our next visit to the area and highly recommend to others.
Glad you enjoyed your stay at Sisu House. Hope you can come again and use the outdoor amenities. Thanks, Diane
We really enjoyed the Susi house. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Was a nice place to stay at as we went north and south from the house to see the sights.Wished to see some deer on the property, but did not. Great place !!
Glad you enjoyed your time at Sisu House. We are centrally located about 60 miles from Duluth, Grand Marais and Ely. Come again!
Felt like home
We had to find a place last minute and so glad we found this property! So relaxing and homey.... The weather wasn't great, but stayed comfortable inside. Definitely want to stay again.
Glad you enjoyed your time @ Sisu. We try to think of what we would appreciate being there without having to pack it. Come again now that you found us. Diane
Thank you for another wonderful stay in your home! This was our third visit to Sisu House, we love the accommodations and the location - it is easy to do day trips up and down the shore of the lake. Diane is a great host, and the house is clean, well-stocked, and relaxing.
So glad to see you again, you win with the most stays. Fun to know you enjoy this area as much as we do. Diane
A really nice, warm, clean and well equipped place. We had plenty of room for the snowmobile trailer and gained access to the trail system easily. It's a great place to ride from when in the arrowhead region. We really enjoyed it (again) and will definitely return.
Located in the heart of the Arrowhead, 6 miles inland from Lake Superior. Boundless fresh water lakes within 1/2 to 1 hour drive. Located within 1 1/2 miles of Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center. Quick access to snowmobile , ATV trails & Superior Hiking Trails.
Fridays and Saturdays always go together. No check ins or outs on Saturdays
