About Diane Lindberg
This is my childhood home, recently & totally renovated. We are proud of our Finnish heritage and that's why we chose the Sisu name. Sisu in Finnish means tenacity in the face of adversity, guts, 'stick to it'- tiveness
What makes this House unique
We wanted to keep the feeling and charm of an older home. But we do enjoy and have installed modern comforts (most recent: central air conditioning and WIFI)

Cute house, great location
Sisu House was just what we wanted for our long weekend on the North Shore. It was close to the entrance to the Twin Lakes portion of the Lake Superior Hiking Trail which we hiked on Friday. It was wonderful to relax in the claw foot tub after that hike! The house had everything we needed and was quiet, comfortable and cozy. We'd definitely stay again.
Diane was so nice, and her little Sisu house was beautiful and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!
Glad you had a fun time in Finland and the weather cooperated with your plans. Hope to see you again, Diane
Cute snug solid house- close to Lake Superior but away from the hype!
My wife and I day-hiked several cliffs on the Superior Hiking Trail ( Oberg, Carleton Peak and Section 13), and came back to relax at this house. Diane and Eric even arranged for peak fall color, and held any rain showers away while we were hiking, or so we joked because every other need was met. We hope to return soon!
Glad you had good hiking weather! The leaves hung on for photo opportunities, even. Come on back and try a different season next time. Diane
Super cute little house
The house was perfect for my mom and myself for a weekend. Nicely decorated and every amenity you would need. The couch is a bit uncomfortable so not really able to stay in and be comfy. The two adult sized beds are nice. Too many places have twin beds. Which is not great for 2 adults. I would totally stay again if I’m in the area!
We are glad you enjoyed your time at the Sisu house, we try to think of what items we would like to have available. Sorry you found the couch uncomfortable. Diane
Clean and Cozy
Was great we will stay here again when in the area!!!
Glad you appreciated our efforts! Come again .
Great northern MN property, we highly recommend!!!
Amazing place to stay right out of Finland. Close to the ATV trail access which was wonderful. Very clean, cozy home with all the amenities. Great hosts! We highly recommend this property.
Glad you enjoyed your time in Finland and the ATV trails. Next time you’ll know where to go and what we have available in the house. You could always try snowmobiling in winter. Come again, Diane
