About the property

Fully renovated beautiful “brand new” old farm house. The main floor has a living room, kitchen, dining room, utility room, half bathroom, bedroom/den and a master bedroom with walk-in closet and attached bathroom. Upstairs has another living room, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. This is a perfect set-up for several families or a big group to all get together yet still have room to spread out. There is a big sandstone fireplace in the living room, this was made with the sandstone that was cleared from the neighboring fields years ago. The updated gas insert makes it easy to use and adds a wonderful homey feeling. A large TV is mounted above the fireplace with a DVD player and connections to hook a gaming system up to. Speakers in the ceiling provide great sound whether you are watching TV, playing a game or listening to music. The large kitchen is perfect for baking and cooking, everything you should need is provided except your food and imagination. The utility room has a washer, dryer and sink for your convenience. There are beds to sleep up to 13 people and couches/futons to sleep up to 6 more. We provide bedding and towels but you need to bring your own beach towels. (Don’t forget your sunscreen!)

Spend time outdoors in the spacious yard (about 4 acres!)

The kids have plenty of room to run around. Bring the kids bikes to ride around. Get a game of football or soccer going with the provided balls or maybe a bean bag toss tournament? In the evenings you can sit around a campfire and do a little star gazing. (Please note the barn shown in some of the pictures is not part of this property. There are no animals on site.)

About Leo and Katie

Leo and Katie have been married for almost 28 years and have 2 kids, a son Kyle and a daughter Michelle. They own and operate their own business together, recently celebrating 25 years in business. Leo was born and raised in Mauston, WI while Katie was born and raised in the neighboring town of WI Dells. They continue to live and work in Mauston. (just down the road from the rental)

Leo and Katie purchased this farmhouse in 2014

Why Leo and Katie chose Central

The farm house has been in Leo's family since the early 1970's. Owned by his parents, this was a family run farm with everyone pitching in. Leo and Katie purchased the house in 2014 and decided to renovate the house and rent it out so everyone could enjoy the beautiful country setting and experience all this area has to offer. We hope you enjoy your stay and come to love the area as much as we do.

What makes this farmhouse unique

Close to lots of attractions and activities yet in a quiet country setting. Go to the lake or the Dells for the day and then come back and enjoy the peace and quite of this beautiful home.

Spacious, modern including all the luxuries!

We were a group of women away for a crafting weekend. This very spacious home had every accommodation and the owners were fantastic at communicating and accommodating our particular requests. There were plenty of sofa's/couches/chairs & tables to make our stay very comfortable. We will absolutely plan another trip back here.

Great place for multiple family stay

  • 5 of 5

The property is great. Its an isolated farmhouse and was recently updated. Owners put a lot of thought on updating the property. We had a big group of friends and family stay here for a weekend. We had everything we were looking for and had a awesome time staying here. We hope to come back again.

Wonderful home!

  • 5 of 5

We had 3 families stay in this farm house over the weekend. 13 total people and had plenty of bed space and living space to sit around, play games, eat, etc. The home was newly remodeled with all the updates needed to make our stay comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we especially appreciated all of the camp chairs provided! The only thing that's missing is a lake on the property. That would have made it the perfect home away from home for a vacation. Other than that, it was perfect and the owners were SO accommodating!

Very Nice Property, well laid out, friendly owners

  • 5 of 5

We had a nice time at this place for an annual retreat. The house is very nice inside and well laid out for a gathering. The property was clean and nicely furnished and up to date.

The owners were respectful and offered good service.

The stars at night are great, the restaurant down to the street is nice (walkable) and there are some nice activities around the area like tubing the WI River.

I would highly recommend this property.

Thank you for letting us stay. We hope to consider it next year

We had a great time

  • 5 of 5

The Farm House was in new-like condition inside and comfortably accommodated our group of 11. There was more than enough space. The kids loved the living room on the second level. The adults loved the wide-open gorgeous kitchen with hardwood floors, as well as the other remodeled features of the home. I especially enjoyed the ability for all of us to sit together for meals at the huge dining room table. The house is surrounded by farm fields. It felt like country living. We made campfires at night and in the morning we used the picnic table to relax outside. The dells is just close enough to enjoy a trip in for the day or night. The owners were accomodating. We truly enjoyed our time at the Farm House.
