Great location in Cascais

We had a very good moment in this big and nice appartment in Cascais, with a terrace and view on the ocean. 30 to 40 minutes away from Lisbon by car might seem far away, but the location is in fact very convenient to explore the surroundings (Sintra, Belem...). The owner was very helpful even if she was far away at this time. We definitely recommend this place !

great apartment walking distance to ocean and restaurants, about 15 minute walk to downtown cascais and beaches, in a quiet residential building with some awesome views from the balcony. recomended

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Booked the property for our family of 3 only to receive a telephone call from the owner saying she would not be able to let us stay there as her mother decided to use the apartment instead. I explained that it was already my 2nd bad experience in Portugal as another host cancelled on us literally last minute and asked why she would have the property listed as available if her family was going to use it. After some rambling she essentially had no logical reason. In addition, she tried to get me to cancel the booking (so she would not be penalized by Vrbo). Very unpleasant experience.

Katia rented my place for literally 2mins, as soon as I received the massage from VRBO I called her explaining that unfortunately she was not going going to be able to stay there as my mother was already staying there, and I needed “no logical reason” to justify that, I just forgot to block the dates, however I caused her 0 inconvenience, and made sure VRBO fully credited her, on the spot. Had she rented the place months, days in advance I could understand such an unpleasant right up. but this was not the case, at all! Totally uncalled for. I was even kind enough to call her, rather then sending her a cold message. Is not my fault that somebody else canceled on her reservation previously.

Erhebliche Mängel der sanitären Einrichtungen

Die Buchung des Appartements erfolgte unserseits aufgrund der Lage, was super war, und aufgrund des comforts mit zwei Schlafzimmer und 2 Toiletten. Leider funktionierte die Spülung bei eines der Toiletten bis ein Tag vor der Abreise nicht. Erst da wurde es repariert. Das bidet im Bad war auch kaputt, es gab kein Warmwasser. Und den Balkon konnten wir erst vier Tage nach der Ankunft benutzen. Die Jalousie konnte nicht hochgefahren werden. Die Vermieterin wußte angeblich nichts von den Schäden. Kann auch möglich sein weil sie selbst in Ausland lebt. Es ändert aber nichts daran, so konnten wir den angebotenen comfort nicht nutzen. Am Ende viel zuviel bezahlt...

Geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung mit tollem Blick

Wir haben uns Dank der geschmackvoll eingerichteten Wohnung wie zu Hause gefühlt und bestens erholt. Die Wohnung läßt keine Wünsche offen, eine große toll ausgestattete Küche, das sehr schönes Wohn/Esszimmer mit Balkon und die beiden gemütlichen Schlafzimmer. Wir haben die Abende auf dem Balkon mit den tollen Sonnenuntergängen genossen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Große Wohnung mit Aussicht aufs Meer

Die Wohnung liegt in ruhiger Umgebung. Die Aussicht vom Balkon hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Ausstattung war umfassend - es hat an nichts gefehlt. Ein Tiefgaragenplatz gehört zur Wohnung. Der Fahrstuhl schafft Bequemlichkeit. Die Kommunikation war angenehm und immer zielführend. Ins Zentrum von Cascais kann man laufen oder mit dem Bus M27 fahren. Dieser Bus kommt mit hoher Taktfrequenz, so dass wir nie lange warten mussten. Auch die Verbindung nach Lissabon mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel war problemlos.

Well specified apartment for exploring this part of Portugal

Clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped with dishwasher, coffee machine, washing machine, microwave and TV. If you want to cook the kitchen is well equipped with pans etc., a gas hob and a fan oven. Lots of space to unpack with large wardrobes and drawers in both bedrooms. One has a double bed, the other what is probably a queen size bed (huge!). Matresses are quite firm. The balcony overlooks the surrounding area and sea, cooler in the morning but sunny and warm in the evening. The lack of air conditioning turns out not to be a problem as the breeze from the sea keeps the temperature down perfectly. Owners were delightful, fitting in around our delayed flight and being available to show us around the apartment as well as providing tips on the best eateries and supermarkets in the area. As a base for exploring the area it is quite well placed. An Uber to the centre of Cascais costs around €3 at the time of writing and can be with you literally within 1 or 2 minutes of requesting. A walk into Cascais takes around 25 minutes. A train from there to Lisbon takes about 35 minutes and costs around €1.90 single. An Uber to Sintra cost about €15. On this basis I didn't bother renting a car and avoided a lot of hassle! There's a local supermarket about five minutes walk down the road along with a bakery which will cater for most day to day needs. If you want a larger shop a branch of Lidl is around 15 mins walk away. The apartment block itself feels secure and modern with two elevators and a car park with remote operated door. There was very little noise during our stay - garbage trucks at 1am seem to be a feature but didn't really prevent a good night's sleep. Overall this is more than we'd normally spend on an apartment but I feel it was justified given the quality of the accomodation and the attentive hosts. A very enjoyable and relaxing holiday.

Great spacious apartment with fantastic view

We, a family of four, spent a week in this very nice apartment. It is very spacious and well equipped. And not least beautifully located on the eight floor with view of the Atlantic ocean from the balcony. Melany is very nice and responsive to questions, and all practicalities around arriving to and leaving the apartment went smoothly. Note that the apartment is not located near the beach area, so unless you want a nice walk at the seaside, an Uber taxi takes you there for less than 4 euros. Overall, a very recommendable place to stay when in Cascais!

Visit to Cascais, July 27th thru August 4th

Beautiful place, clean, spacious, great view of the Atlantic from the balcony, well equipped and excellent location (grocery shop and bakery only block and a half away, beach restaurants, bike rentals 3 blocks away). In all it was an amazing experience visiting the beautiful town of Cascais. My wife put it well: "So much beauty so many different landscapes concentrated in this small town in the Atlantic. It's exhilarating". PS. Visit Praia Do Guincho. Amazing Sunsets, good Mojitos and the best Kite Surfers I've ever seen in my life.

Precioso apartamento. Muy bien situado

Somos un matrimonio con dos hijos adultos. Hemos estado alojados una semana. El apartamento es estupendo, muy grande y la decoración preciosa.. Las estancias muy grandes, sobre todo el salón y la cocina. Está perfectamente equipado con todo lo necesario, sobre todo la cocina. Mobiliario estupendo, camas incluídas. Sabanas y toallas de calidad estupenda La situación buenísima, en una zona residencial al lado de un hotel de 4 estrellas, con supermercados al lado. Un poco apartado del centro (se agradece, porque es tranquila y sin ruidos, segura y con fácil aparcamiento )al que se accede facilmente paseando. Un par de calles encima del paseo que une el centro de Cascais con la playa de Guincho, pasando por La Boca del Infierno. La propietaria muy amable que aunque no esté, se comunica por teléfono y tiene una persona que te puede solucionar cualquier problema. Nosotros llegamos muy tarde y no tuvimos problemas para que nos trajeran las llaves. La verdad es que se trata de una casa muy acojedora, es mas que un apartamento. Muchísimas gracias. couldn't ask for a better place !!!

this place was as far one of the best vacation homes we stayed at with our kids...the location is wonderful as its within a walking distance from everything ..the beach is 7 minutes walk ..mini market and bakery 5 minutes ..casa da glia which is an amazing place by the ocean with all restaurants and shops that you and your family can enjoy ..the appartment it was just perfect for the kids and us and got used to it so quickly and felt super comfortable as if it was our home ..the owner is super nice and replied to all our questions within minutes .the cleaning lady as well was so sweet and was there on time whenever we needed her ..the best part of it was the end of the day when we come back home and chill on the balcony with a glass of wine my husband and i and enjoy the lovely breeze all night long ..the apartment has everything you can need ..the neighborhood is so quiet and everyone is friendly ..honestly this would be the place i would wanna come back and stay at with my family on my next visit to cascais ..wish it was longer
