High Peak belle grange convertie avec jardin privé et des vues spectaculaires

Situé dans le High Peak à l'extrémité ouest du parc national de Peak District, le Brow Farm Cottage est mitoyen à la ferme des propriétaires, située dans un terrain privé de 18 acres offrant des vues spectaculaires et des promenades à pied. Le chalet bénéficie de sa propre entrée privée, d'un parking et d'un jardin clos. Il y a un accès à un local sécurisé pour les vélos. Le chalet a été converti à partir d'une ancienne porcherie et une grange et contient beaucoup de son caractère original, mais avec une touche fraîche et moderne. Les portes d'entrée du chalet mènent à un magnifique hall ouvert avec poutres apparentes et galerie. Hors du couloir sont 2 chambres une double et une double et une salle de bains familiale contenant à la fois baignoire et cabine de douche. 4 marches mènent à la cuisine ouverte avec four électrique et plaque à induction, micro-ondes, lave-vaisselle et coin buanderie avec machine à laver. La salle à manger est attachée à la cuisine, un espace familial confortable avec table et chaises de ferme pouvant accueillir 6, tabourets de bar à la barre de petit déjeuner et un canapé et une télévision. Les portes mènent dans le jardin clos privé avec pelouse et un coin salon et une vue magnifique jusqu'à Kinder Scout. A l'étage dans le chalet d'un côté est la chambre double principale qui dispose d'une salle de douche et toilettes. En face, le salon galleried a la TV et le DVD et les vues magnifiques de la fenêtre. Wifi est disponible dans tout le chalet. Brow Farm est situé dans le centre de 18 acres de terres privées et abrite des moutons Pedigree Ryeland, des chèvres, des chevaux, des poulets, des lapins, des cochons d'Inde et les 2 Labradors du propriétaire. La ferme se trouve à seulement 10 minutes à pied du centre-ville de New Mills avec ses boutiques indépendantes, ses pubs et ses cafés, ainsi que la Millenium Walkway primée, le parc Torrs Riverside, le Peak Forest Canal et le sentier Sett Valley. Pour les randonneurs, les chiens et les cyclistes, le chalet est idéalement situé avec de nombreuses promenades et promenades directement à la porte avec Kinder Scout, Chinley Head, la vallée de Goyt et Edale tous facilement accessibles. Les attractions touristiques de Hayfield (scène de la série télévisée «The Village»), Buxton, Castleton et le village peste d'Eyam sont tous à 25 minutes en voiture. La ferme se trouve à 800 mètres de la gare de New Mills Central sur la ligne Hope Valley avec des liaisons vers Sheffield et Manchester. We enjoyed our stay at Brow Farm cottage. The accomadation was excellent, and the hosts Cath and Bill were very helpful when needed. We managed to visit several National Trust Places in the area, and the Peak District of Derbyshire is very attractive.

This is such a lovely house in a beautiful location, even the rainy weather didn't detract. We fully relaxed and felt right at home. Beautiful location

The house was immaculate, well equipped and in a stunning location. We had a very warm welcome from the owners and very much enjoyed the eggs and flapjacks! There's loads to do in the local area, including plenty of walks from the doorstep. It was a perfect holiday base for our family and dogs.

Beautiful cottage, very high standard of decoration and cleanliness.

The location is perfect for walking and visiting the local village which has tea rooms and bars. The cottage is second to none and the hosts are so accommodating. We were made to feel so welcome and were given eggs and a homemade cake as a welcome. We will definitely return. Highly recommended.

Beautiful homely property with everything you need

This was a perfect house for our weekend stay. The house was clean and well presented with everything we needed. Cath gave us all the info we needed andhelped with directions and bonfire advice for the weekend. It was only a few minutes walk into town where there were a few shops, eateries and pubs. We loved the area and house and would return again. Perfect for a Peaks getaway.

PERFECT PET FRIENDLY PROPERTY IN THE PEAK DISTRICT

We were extremely fortunate in the weather and so were able to make the best of the wonderful views. The location is perfect for walking the dogs, and there is the benefit of the enclosed garden. As soon as we arrived Dave was there to welcome us . A tin of amazing flap jacks made by Cath went down very well . House immaculate & plenty of information in folders for local walks . Would definitely recommend it

A lovely find

We had a lovely break with friends in this superb cottage. Beautiful location and lovely views. Lovely walks just out from the cottage over the Peaks. Cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped, everything we wanted and more! Perfect for us and our dogs! We’d recommend the local Italian- delicious pizzas to take away. Owners were very helpful and discreet. The welcome pack included a delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake which was amazing!

New Mills Hidden Gem!

Our family of 5 (13,16,16, 2-adults) had a great experience! Dave and Cath we VERY responsive to all questions, and the home was perfect. They live on a great hobby farm with lots of animals to see. Perfect 5min walk to a cute small town including: grocery, meat market, coffee, and great shopping, great views, excellent hospitality (and the farm fresh eggs and brownies we delish!). For the golfers, there’s even an excellent 18 hole golf course 5 minutes away! Don’t miss out on this rental!

Absolutely fantastic property

What an amazing property with stunning views and easy access into New Mills town centre and other locations by car or train. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and left us gifts of home made raspberry blondies and fresh eggs from the farm. The cottage was spotless, comfortable, well decorated and well equipped with everything you could possibly want during your stay. We had our family dog with us who absolutely loved the garden area and fantastic walks on your doorstep. I will definitely be back and would not hesitate in recommending to family, friends and anyone wanting to visit the Peak District. Thank you so much for your hospitality Cath and David

Stunning views, wonderful hosts.

Brow Farm is superbly located, close to amenities of New Mills and with stunning views. It is quiet, has plenty of parking and is beautifully maintained. The living and dining area is spacious for 4 adults and the welcome and hospitality is first class. The twin bedroom (which we did not use) is very good, but the second bedroom downstairs is small. The main bedroom with ensuite upstairs is fine, but note that the bed is a double with very firm mattress - personally I would take out the wardrobe and have wall pegs for hanging in order to fit a king or superking bed, and review the mattress. Larger towels would be better and a shelf for soap/shampoo in the shower. The kitchen is well-equipped, but a larger refrigerator would be better if 4-6 people are staying for a few days (it is an under-counter size with icebox only). Overall we enjoyed our stay, including a very pleasant walk to New Mills and the lovely pubs there, but a few refinements in the cottage would make it 5 star.

Lovely cottage - immaculate and has everything you'll need

I live close by to this cottage and I rented it for my brother and his family who were coming up from London for a long weekend. It is immaculate, really well-appointed and finished to a very high standard, and it felt really spacious. I wished I was staying in it too! The kids loved the animals and were very appreciative of the freshly baked cake and the eggs that Cath left for them. I think they were amazed to see eggs of different sizes and colours. I would highly recommend this lovely cottage for a holiday. It's ideal for people who love walking, cycling, and fresh air and it gives easy access to the Peak district in one direction and the nightlife of Manchester in the other.

Perfect location for Peak District and Manchester

The cottage is very attractive, well appointed and in a lovely location. The photographs do not do either the property or views from it justice and therefore, although we were looking forward to staying there, it was a pleasant surprise that everything was even better than we had anticipated. It is light, bright and spacious and very well equipped and provides a perfect home from home. The house book provides complete information on restaurants, places to visit and also walks around the area. The walks are well worth doing as the area is beautiful and on foot is a great way to see it, as well as being a very good form of exercise with all the hills! New Mills has two train stations, with one being only ten minutes walk away at the bottom of the hill into town. In 30 minutes you can be in Manchester or in 45 minutes Sheffield. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Dave made us feel very welcome. We hope to be back some day and can recommend it as a great place to stay without hesitation.

Incredible, clean, well appointed rental property for our family of 6

We stayed in the connected farmhouse a few years ago and were excited to see that the barn was completed. It's a beautiful property perched on the brow of of a hill with a private drive and a small pen of animals and stables and fields with horses. The bedrooms were perfect for us, our 2 x 6 year olds and our 2 x2 year old boys but we brought our own gate and bed rails for the single beds. We lived in the kitchen when we were there with it's 6 seat kitchen table, a sofa and an island with stools to congregate. It was the first room we saw and a pleasant surprise greeted us since Cath had made us a sponge cake and left us half a dozen eggs from the chickens. The canisters in the kitchen had tea bags and sugar and cupboards had all the tools we needed to cook dinners. Heated floors were a nice surprise too - from the photos of the tiles I ended up bringing my slippers but had no cause to wear them since the floors downstairs were so warm, as were the rooms in general so no need for wearing a sweater in the house. The fenced garden off the kitchen door was great too for the 2 year old boys to charge around in a safe grassy area before walking over to animals to look for eggs. Can't recommend the farm enough! We'll be back...

Perfect Stay

Brow Farm Cottage was aa excellent choice for our stay in New Mills to visit my son and daughter-in-law and their new baby. The cottage is very warm and comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. The delicious home made cakes waiting for us on our arrival was a lovely touch. We were made to feel very welcome and will definitely return.

Amazing place

Myself, husband, daughter & my parents spent 2 nights here along with max our dog. The cottage is so nice and cosy while being spacious all at the same time. It was a lovely chilled out weekend, watching films, playing games and walks to the pub! Can definitely recommend the food at the fox inn! We would happily return in a heartbeat. There was some lovely gestures at check in for the humans and a treat for Max!

Superb stay

This break was booked unbeknown to me as my birthday present for this year enabling me to be together with my children and their partners after they hadn’t seen each other since Christmas 2019. The accommodation is excellent in every respect and the welcome from David on arrival was lovely. Having our own private garden with superb view was fab - and the garden chairs and picnic bench meant we were able to enjoy being outside relaxing and dining “al fresco” every day. Fresh eggs and home baked strawberry flapjack on arrival, fresh flowers in the kitchen and so many personal touches to make it a truly memorable stay. We hope to be back - there’s no better recommendation than that.

Perfect place to stay in the Peaks

Fantastic stay. We were 5 adults and a dog. Incredible views from the cottage, loads of space and first rate accommodation. Newly furbished to a high degree, everything you could need including delicious homemade cakes and eggs from friendly and welcoming hosts. Wonderful vista from the garden and yet within easy walk to pubs and town centre. Perfect Definitely recommend!

Great stay

We loved the property and Cath and Dave were friendly but also allowed us our privacy. We visited with my elderly parents so the walk from the cottage to the town was too much for them but would be fine for the more able. Beautiful views and very comfortable accommodation. Would definitely recommend.

Exactly what we were looking for

Everything about the stay was fantastic including the price! The place was stunning and check in and out was very easy. We enjoyed a lovely walk in the area on the Saturday. The hosts left fresh eggs, milk and homemade brownies which was great when we arrived. We cooked both nights and had all pots, pans and utensils needed. We will definitely come back in the future when we have another university reunion!

Lovely short break in the Hogh Peaks

David and Cath made us feel extremely welcome. The accommodation was warm (2 degrees outside), very clean and well equipped. Views from the cottage were stunning and we found the local town had a rich history. Great nearby walks but the highlight was spending the day in Hayfield and walking the Snake path in beautiful sunshine. We wished we had more time to explore, and walk further. Highly recommended.
