Villa San Francesco, a dip in the Tuscan Renaissance

Villa San Francesco is located in a splendid hilly position with a panoramic view of the vineyards and olive groves of the Tuscan countryside and the green woods of Monte Cetona. The farmhouse has been renovated with attention to materials, taking up the ancient artifacts of the area: terracotta floors, ceilings with wooden beams. Villa San Francesco is the ideal place from which to discover the cultural, historical and landscape beauties that characterize Tuscany, such as the small Etruscan centers of Chiusi and Sarteano, the renowned towns of Montepulciano and Pienza, the pearl of the Renaissance, known as Montalcino all over the world for its famous Brunello. But also more important centers such as Siena, Florence, Lucca and Pisa in Tuscany and Orvieto, Assisi, Perugia and Todi in Umbria. Finally, lovers of well-being and physical fitness will not be able to miss the opportunity for a regenerating bath in the pleasant thermal waters of nearby San Casciano dei Bagni and other renowned resorts in the region.

Located near the medieval town of Cetona, directly in the heart of southern Tuscany, the property is an excellent starting point for day trips to discover the beauty of southern Tuscany and Umbria. Cetona is very well served by fast-moving roads such as the A1 motorway (Chiusi- Chianciano exit) and the E45 highway that allows you to visit the most important centers of the 2 regions with short journeys. Many centers of interest are instead within a few kilometers such as Sarteano, San Casciano dei Bagni with its renowned spas, the Etruscan city of Chiusi, as well as Lake Trasimeno, Montepulciano or Cortona. The town is also served by the Chiusi Scalo station from which fast connections depart for the major Italian cities.

The villa has two floors. In front of the main entrance door there are stairs that allow access to the upper floor, on the left there is the lounge with a large (ornamental) fireplace and on the right the dining room and the large open space kitchen with fireplace. The ground floor is completed by a service bathroom, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with French beds, both with bathroom with shower en suite and window that allows direct access to the outside. The first floor consists of four double bedrooms all with en suite bathroom. In the basement, which is accessed from the outside, there is the laundry room.

The park
The farmhouse is immersed in the green Tuscan countryside and is surrounded by forests of holm oaks and oaks of Monte Cetona, ideal for hiking and mountain biking. In the garden of cypresses, holm oaks and olive trees, there are various equipped areas, one of which, adjacent to the kitchen, where there is a lovely patio, equipped with barbecue, wood oven and tables with chairs, ideal for enjoying pleasant dinners outdoors .

The pool
Open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October, the swimming pool is located a few meters from the splendid panoramic position on the Tuscan hills and on the woods of Monte Cetona. It has a rectangular shape with a size of 14 x 7 m and a maximum height of 2.40 m and with access via steps. The swimming pool is surrounded by a terracotta border and the solarium area is a beautiful green lawn equipped with sun loungers, chairs, tables and umbrellas. The swimming pool has an outdoor shower.
