Los 30 minutos de Lisboa y Sintra 10 5 Praia Grande y Praia das Macas, a pocos minutos a pie de restaurantes de calidad.

Casa da Encosta - Paradise in Azenhas do Mar

Casa da Encosta - Azenhas do MarCasa da Encosta is absolutely perfect! We stayed for two weeks and would’ve stayed longer if we could have. The house, with its three level deck and sitting areas offer a gorgeous panoramic view of Azenhas do Mar – we think the best of all the accommodations available there. Whether you love to cook as we do or prefer to eat out, both are easily accommodated. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped (with a great knife for food prep – a dull knife is the bane of all cooks) and a stove that puts our much larger range at home to shame. The outdoor table seats 8 and the deck has a built-in grill with well-stocked food markets and an excellent butcher nearby. Great restaurants are within steps down to the water or a short drive away. The beach below is spectacular with a seawater pool that is safe for children and the sound of the waves lulls you to sleep and greets you in the morning. And if you want to sightsee, many recommended sites are within a reasonable driving distance. The greatest attention has been given to the design of the space and best of all you are staying in house that is historic but has been beautifully updated with modern conveniences. Jorge is a wonderful host, responsive to every request who provided recommendations for everything we would need or want as soon as we arrived. We hope to return in the future. To be honest, our family of four found it very hard to leave – the first time that has ever really happened to us and we

Echt een fantastische plek. Meerdere terrassen, uitzicht op zee. Gezellig ingericht. Keuken goed uitgerust. Bij aankomst zelfs een fles wijn, vers brood en kaas! Heel attent. Goede restaurants vlakbij en kleine kruidenier op loopafstand.

Ideal place to relax and unwind

Unfortunately we only had one week to enjoy this great accommodation. The house is not very big but very cosy and furnished to a high standard. The terrace offers a fantastic view of the cliffs and the sea, as shown in the pictures from several levels. If there wasn't so much to see in the surroundings, you would like to spend the whole day there. The terrace has a semi-covered area that provides shade for meals. There are also high-quality parasols. Overall, you can see from the furnishings that the house is mainly used by the owner himself. The place is small and a bit sleepy, but tourists like to take pictures of it on the opposite cliff. Downstairs there is a bar by a wave pool and a small beach at low tide. Communication with the landlord was great. He gave us lots of tips. If we come to the area again, this will definitely be our first choice.

Beautiful apartment in a beautiful location

We had a fantastic trip to Jorge's apartment, it is very comfortable with an incredible outside area, away from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon. Jorge was always at had with any advice/ assistance needed and recommended a number of superb restaurants to visit, as well as locations to visit Location is ideal if renting a car, Sintra and Lisbon are a short drive away, both spectacular, and the beaches in the area are perfect. Portuguese hospitality and kindness towards children was already known to us but every where we went it was abundant. Hopefully one day we will come back to stay and hear the sounds of waves crashing against the cliffs drifting though the windows at night 🙂

Magical village, amazing views

A very old house that is refurbished to be attractive and functional. Lots of room and well equipped. Host is highly responsive and helpful. We have come two years in a row and will return again.

Sehr schönes Haus mit fantastischem Blick auf den Atlantik

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche in Azenhas. Das Haus ist perfekt, mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht, um entspannte Ferien zu verbringen. Vor allem der geniale, sehr großzügige Außenbereich mit den unterschiedlichen Terrassenebenen lädt zum Relaxen ein - und von überall sieht man das Meer und hört das Tosen des Atlantiks! Auch das Innere des Hauses ist wirklich geschmackvoll eingerichtet. In der Küche fehlt es an nichts, alles ist gut, zweckmäßig und sehr sauber. Jorge ist als Gastgeber unkompliziert, der Kontakt mit ihm hat wunderbar funktioniert. Er war sehr verständnisvoll und entgegenkommend bei der unsicheren Reisesituation wegen Corona. Herzlichen Dank, Jorge! Wir kommen gerne wieder...

Wonderful house on the ocean

We stayed in the house for about a week but both of our kids and we had a wonderful time. We rented a car and drove to nearby places of interest and took the train to Lisbon. The climate on the ocean is different than in the city but we enjoyed some beautiful sunsets on the deck. The kitchen was well stocked and Jorge and his wife had a nice cheese and wine welcome gift for us. I’d recommend staying here if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of urban life and want to enjoy a quieter vacation. There is still a nice beach bar downstairs and a couple of nice restaurants if you want to eat out. Great stay in Portugal for us!

Sehr schönes Haus mit super Ausblick

Wir haben 2 Wochen als 5-köpfige Familie im "Haus Hill" verbracht. Das Haus ist gemütlich und sehr sauber. Der Ausblick ist fantastisch. Jorge hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und bei Fragen schnell geholfen. Wir werden das Meeresrauschen vermissen!

Ein perfektes Haus!

Wir haben eine Woche im Herbst in diesem wunderbaren Haus verbracht. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Nur die Sonne war etwas zögerlich... Aber wir haben trotzdem jeden Morgen auf der tollen Terrasse gefrühstückt und abends auf die Wellen geschaut. Unsere Kinder haben sich in dem Kinderzimmer sehr wohl gefühlt und die 2 wilden aber sehr kuscheligen Katzen geliebt! Man kann viele schöne Ausflüge unternehmen oder einfach das Haus und den Ort genießen. Jorge hat sich super um uns gekümmert! Wir werden das Haus auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen und auch wieder kommen!

Relaxed stunning point

Spent here 2 weeks. The best view location in Azenhas do Mar. Fully detached house - all-you-need conveniences are there. Safe for children. All photos correspond to real environment - the terrace view is really stunning! There are 2 quality restaurants 50m away. Also there is a small sand beach 80m downhill. We preferred to go to Praia Grande and Praia das Macas as the best beaches in the area. In Praia das Macas there is a tiny nice everyday market, where you can have any seafood and vegetables you wish for the lowest price. Rented car is advisable: if the weather is not so good, you can easily switch to sightseeing mode and see a lot of nice places in the area: Sintra, Ericeira, Cabo da Roca, as well as Cascais, Carcavelos and Lisbon itself. Great thanks to Marta and Jorge for their hospitality!

Everything great...

The house is really nice, the pictures don't lie. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the house, the village Azenhas and the nearby beaches. The house and kitchen is well equiped. The terasse to the sea is really nice. The house is perfect for a family with 2-3 kids. Jorge is very helpful and easy going (as all Portugese people). We hope to come back one day...
