Fun, cozy beach getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We could not have asked for a better stay at the Sea Island Cottage. The house is perfectly laid out for both privacy and community. It is so close to the beach! The house is nestled on a cozy little street, which makes the bed swing on the back porch perfect for naps! I almost slept there instead of my bed. Tina provides a true Southern hospitality experience and we will DEFINITELY be back! This is the place to unwind and spend time with the people you love.

The BEST beach getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay so much! The house has a great layout & a fun beach feel to it! I loved all the decor. The downstairs was our main hang out spot. Loved the games downstairs & the outdoor shower is a great edition! Our family enjoyed this week long vacation! Wish it was longer! We look forward to visiting again in the future! Tina is a great host & communicator as well! Thanks again!

Perfect Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here for one week and it was perfect! So close to the beach and all the island has to offer. We loved the entrainment areas, especially the setup downstairs. It was awesome for BBQing, playing cornhorn or just hanging out! The owner, Tina, was great! She was very responsive to any questions we had. We will definitely book here again when we return to Edisto!

Wonderful! Roomy! Close to beach! Darling!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed there for a much needed single family vacation. I have twin16-year-old boys and they even thought it was "cool". Ha! I loved the layout of the home with the center living room to be together. Large kitchen and plenty of bathroom space. All very clean and not cluttered. Underneath home was fun to grill, play games and loved the outdoor shower!!! Loved having washer/dryer too. Screen porches were huge bonus--ate on back porch and I would read on the front porch at night so I could hear the waves! It is a short walk to the beach that is big, deep, and clean! If hauling a lot for the day, you can drive quick and park free. The water was wonderful and shells were plenty! Plenty of space for peaceful beach time even with many others around. Several visitors would pop up a canopy and sit for the day. You can go back and forth, easily, if needed. Both the house and beach are pet friendly, although we chose not to bring ours on the plane. The hanging bed got used every day and night and we enjoyed exploring the island. I was surprised at how woodsy the area was!! I called in breakfast at the Sea Cow which was yummy and wonderful to pick up and avoid lines/wait. The grocery store has great options and plenty of obvious choices for the whole family. We even did Subway at the beach for lunch one day. The guys went to the golf range and enjoyed that also. The gift and surf shop by Sea Cow and the little strip mall is a fun time killer as well. Cute things.

We did a day trip to jet ski out of Isle of Palms--Tidalwave Watersports Safari was a blast!! Full speed through the waterways to Capers Island. And we did Charleston on the way back. (But definitely try to avoid leaving Charleston before 3:00 to avoid traffic… Best to wait, have dinner, then head back to beach house later evening). We also did the Segway tour in Savannah. We all enjoyed that too but a very basic overview of several squares, homes, etc. Fun way to get around and not walk so much. I heard good words about the movie tour that they do as well. If you do that know you can park free at the Adventure Tours in Motion location.

We can't thank them enough for an amazing beach stay, darling cottage, and memorable trip!! Loved everything about it! Whatever you do with your time, you will love being "home"!!
