We are excited to have just completed installing (February 2016) new flooring throughout our vacation home: quartzite tile on the main level and carpeting upstairs in both bedrooms. Check out our new photos!!

Built in 2004, our spacious 1460 square foot, 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath condo at the Waikoloa Colony Villas is located within the prestigious Waikoloa Beach Resort on the world famous Kohala Coast (or 'Gold Coast') of the Big Island of Hawaii. Our villa is furnished in a tropical theme and is ideally located just steps away from the pool, tennis courts and fitness center.

This premier exclusive resort community is renowned for its beautiful beaches, upscale amenities, great shopping, restaurants, golf and nearby activities. The private, gated complex of Waikoloa Colony Villas is located 18 miles north of the Kona Airport on 22 lush, beautifully landscaped tropical acres and is right next to the 10th fairway of the Waikoloa Beach Golf Course. You can also play tennis, work out in the air-conditioned fitness center or relax at the tropical pools. The villas were designed to enhance the convenience of condo style with the individuality and privacy of a home with no one above or below. With only six side-by-side units per building, it is the least densely populated complex in the area. The quiet tropical ambiance with its central location brings many guests back every year.

We are tucked in very quiet, private location with unobstructed views of distant fairways, mountains and lush tropical landscaping resplendent with swaying palm trees. We are conveniently adjacent to one of the complex's swimming pools with lava rock waterfall and spa, the air-conditioned fitness center, barbecue grills and tennis courts. With 17' soaring vaulted ceilings, the villa is spacious and boasts two furnished private lanais. The floor plan is the larger and most desirable of the 2-bedroom models, offering spacious accommodations and total privacy. As you walk in on the main floor, you are greeted with soaring vaulted ceilings and expansive views of the mountains from the floor to ceiling windows.

Our villa, with its upscale furnishings and calming tropical ambiance, has the privacy and feel of an individual home with slab granite counters, air conditioning and all the amenities you would expect in a luxury town home. This impeccably maintained villa is our second home and we have taken great care to provide superb accommodations and features for our guests. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of dishes, cookware, glassware, barware, utensils, serving dishes, spices, a variety of small appliances and everything you would expect in a cook's kitchen.

The dining room opens onto a large tropically furnished lanai for enjoying a leisurely cup of Kona coffee, tasty meals or an afternoon cocktail.

Both bedrooms are upstairs, each with King-sized beds, designer furniture and flat screen TVs. Each bedroom has it own bathroom and there is a 1/2 bath downstairs. Off the Master a large private lanai overlooks the golf course and mountains…a perfect place to relax on one of the chaise lounges and soak in the view.

Our unit is perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or for families wanting a sun-filled holiday adventure. A Pack and Play portable crib and baby gate is provided for children. We've equipped the condo with beach chairs, coolers and beach towels for your explorations at the many nearby world-class beaches. Boogie boards, snorkeling gear, sand toys and tennis rackets are all here for your use! The Kings’ Shops and Queens’ Marketplace, with exceptional restaurants, grocery store and quality shopping, are within walking distance. The location of the Waikoloa Colony Villas is a convenient central point for exploring the many activities and sites the Big Island has to offer.

At Waikoloa Beach Resort, the crescent-shaped A-Bay offers a pristine sandy beach with sports activities and rentals, shoreline paths, a giant turtle refuge and ancient royal fishponds, all just 5 minutes away. Just a few minutes drive north brings you to the world famous Hapuna Beach, Mauna Kea, Mauna Lani Beach, and several others to explore. Hapuna State Park, with its crystal clear blue water and fine sand, is great for boogie boarding.

We have been visiting the Hawaiian Islands for many years but fell in love with the Big Island. It's black lava rock and different ecosystems are so interesting, magnificent and enticing. You can swim, snorkel, golf, hike, view an active volcano, drive through a rain forest, see waterfalls, visit a winery...the list is endless! We have been visiting the Hawaiian Islands for many years but just visited the Big Island for the first time in 2014. We fell in love immediately with the black lava rock, the pristine beaches, the different ecosystems, and the trust-worthy constant warm sunny weather! The Kohala coast with its sunny beaches, beautiful golf courses and swaying palm trees is where we want to spend our vacation time. We were happy to purchase such a well-maintained beautiful town home and we plan to look after our home-away-from-home with care and provide the best vacation accommodation possible for our guests!

We wanted a quality-built home, surrounded by lush grounds and beautiful tropical pools in a quiet and sparsely populated area. We appreciate the convenient central location for exploring the Big Island. Waikoloa Beach Resort has much to offer and one of the best beaches. We love the feeling we are in a house with soaring ceilings rather than an apartment with neighbors above and below. Our favorite spots are both the upper and lower lanais – we thoroughly enjoy relaxing and enjoying the view outside on our lanais!

We are off the main road into the complex yet very close to the main pool, fitness facility and walking paths. Many guests are repeats who love our location and amenities. Brand new full size washer and dryer in 2016 and new stainless steel side-by-side fridge with in-door ice and chilled water dispenser in 2013. Enjoy the quiet tropical surroundings from this outstanding private location. Our condo includes both an upper lanai with loungers and a lower lanai with dining table. No neighboring buildings or roads - just sit back and enjoy the expansive views of flowering trees, palms, expansive lava fields and stunning mountains.

Wonderful Unit

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of Tracy's unit. It was nothing short of outstanding. We have stayed at this complex for over 8 years but this was the first at this unit. We rented five units for our children and grandchildren this year for a family reunion. Our hosts the Hodgins have left nothing out for your enjoyment whether it is for the beach, tennis or relaxation. The unit is well equipped and maintained. The lanai which faces the lava field and golf course are very quiet and relaxing but are close to the pool, tennis court and barbecue. We cannot stress enough how impressed we were with Tracy's exceptional client service which was very genuine and professional. We have booked this unit for next year and look forward to dealing with our hosts Tracy and Murray.

Wonderful vacation

This vacation was the best. Tracy and Murray could not be any better. Neither could their condo. It was so comfortable and probably the best equipped unit that we have stayed in. Everything that one could need. The location is excellent. The security deposit was returned before we got home. Thank you again and can't wait for the opportunity to return.

We enjoyed very much our stay at Tracy's condo. I highly recommend~~

It was my first time experience to book via VRBO and it turned out to be very good.

The process is very simple and confident.

Staying at the Tracy's condo was awesome. Very clean and confortable. We used bikes, beach chairs, body bords which Tracy provided friendly.

The pool inside the resort was nice~~

Contacting with Tracy was very easy and she helped us. Thanks a lot~~ Tracy.

I highly recommand this place for family.

We got what was advertised and more!

Our stay in the townhouse was a pleasant one as the features were like being in our own home, except the temperatures are much warmer and so is the ocean. We found the villa to be clean, well stocked with all the essentials for everyday living, close to local attractions and the on-site tennis courts and golf course were a time-saver. On the rainy days, we stayed closer to home and we enjoyed our time on the lanai and the bright airy feel of the place...

We did find the walkway/entrance to the unit slippery during and after a rainy period.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place for up to four people.

Wonderful Home - Wonderful Owners

We have just returned home after spending three fabulous weeks at Tracy and Murray's condo home at Waikoloa Colony Villas. The villa is absolutely wonderful and visitors lack nothing in the way of high standard home comforts. Tracy and Murray take great interest in how to look after their guests and right from day one we felt assured that we had made the right choice for our holiday in Paradise. Any queries that we had were answered immediately, before and during our stay. We see little point in repeating the positive comments already posted by other reviewers. Suffice to say that we are in total agreement with all of them and fully endorse their high praise for this excellent property, and of course its owners. If we are able to return to the Big Island again, this is definitely the place that we shall choose.

The exclusive gated complex of Waikoloa Colony Villas is located 18 miles north of the Kona Airport on 22 beautiful lushly-landscaped tropical acres. The condos at the Waikoloa Colony Villas feel more like a home rather than a condo. With only six side-by-side units per building, it is the least densely populated complex in the area. There are no neighbors above or below. The quiet tropical ambiance, with the close proximity to all the great amenities of this area, is why so many guests come back every year.

At the nearby beaches - A-Bay, world famous Hapuna and Mauna Kea, you can swim, sunbathe, snorkel, paddle board, take a sailboat charter, snorkel or scuba charter boat, sightseeing and sunset cruises, rent a kayak or take windsurfing lessons. The Kings' Shops and Queens' Marketplace enjoy exceptional restaurants and quality shopping and are within walking distance. About a 10-15 minute walk takes you to Waikoloa Beach or 'A' Bay, a safe swimming beach lined with palm trees. Just a few minutes drive north brings you to the world famous Hapuna Beach, Mauna Kea Beach, and several others to explore. Hapuna is great for boogie boarding.

Just outside your door there are miles of walking/running and biking opportunities as well as a beautiful coastline trail. You can walk to the Hilton and Marriott resorts, shopping and restaurants. Walk the historic Kings' Trail and see ancient petroglyphs just adjacent to our complex; there are walking paths to the beach from our door; and the Big Island's best beaches are nearby. Kayak, bicycle, stand-up paddling, and scooter rentals are available. This perfect central location for exploring all the Big Island sites sits in a quiet, peaceful and tropical setting that is close to all amenities.
