About owner/property manager

Mary is a retired business woman from Washington. She has travelled to several countries and when deciding on a place to retire visited Ajijic and like many others fell in love with the warmer, more colorful, and slower pace of life here. She has remodeled the house to include a main house and three casitas which she enjoys sharing with people from around the world.

Excellent location, very picturesque garden and Casitas

  • 5 of 5

Beautifully decorated Casita with modern amenities such as purified water throughout and upgraded plumbing and excellent wifi reception. We enjoyed the views from the Mirador and convenient location with short walks into town, grocery store, busses, weekly farmers market and restaurants. Mary went out of her way to ensure that all of our needs were met and was a lovely hostess along with co-host Charlie. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Casita With Wonderful Host

  • 5 of 5

This vacation rental takes care of all the little details. We have went in to other rentals that are basically empty furnished places then we would have to go out to get all the basics just to get started. This place had salt and pepper, olive oil, dish soap, shower gel & hand soap, laundry detergent and such.

Mary the host was there to greet us and to walk us through the place. Took the time to show us how to use the tv and since she lived on the property was always around with a warm smile, a good morning and checking in to see if we needed any thing.

I would recommend this as the go to place to stay if you are going to Mexico. It is quiet and the views from the roof are beautiful!

Thanks Mary for a great week.

Brilliant!

  • 5 of 5

After a stay with Mary you haven't just had a great vacation, you've made a friend. I was sad to leave Mary and puppy Charlie. Beautiful place in the best location, walking distance to the grocery store, restaurants, the village center, and a great view of the lake from the Mirador. You're crazy if you DON'T stay here.

Magic in Ajijic

  • 5 of 5

Our hostess greeted us and showed us to our accommodations which were amazing, comfortable and clean. Mary provided valuable information about things to see, do and eating in this beautiful town. We had appointments to keep and she helped to keep us on schedule. The courtyard in the evening is a magical place we will always remember. No stay could be better or more memorable. Charlie the house mascot will steel your heart. We will always stay here upon our return to Ajijic.

Charming, Comfortable and Convenient

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful Mexican colonial casita, fully equipped with everything you need. It's located on a quiet dead end street just a short walk from Lake Chapala, groceries, restaurants and entertainment. The view from the casita and the patio is of the lovely garden area, with many flowering plants and a fountain. It was heavenly to just sit on the patio and take in the surroundings. Mary, the owner, was a wonderful hostess, available when you needed her and happy to share her knowledge of the area. I had a dental emergency while there and Mary referred me to her dentist who agreed to see me and took care of my problem. We highly recommend Mary and her marvelous accommodations and hospitality. It was one of the best vacations we've ever had! Can't wait to go back!

Sublime on so many levels...

  • 5 of 5

This is a special place, and Mary, the owner, is a special person. We had a lovely, three week stay. (We're now making return reservations for the fall.) The place is quiet, the area is quiet (location near the end of a dead end street). The lakefront is about 100 feet away and from there it's an easy, lovely walk to the nearby beachfront restaurant. Mary is an insider's insider and is happy to share her tips, and her warmth, should you be interested.

Ajijic has it all: Galleries, restaurants, cafes, lake and mountains. Stroll the treelined cobblestoned streets. Visit the open market on Wednesdays and get a real flavor of Mexico from foods to traditional crafts. Relax after walking the length of Ajijic's malacon ( boardwalk) where you will see flocks of pelicans, herons and cranes. It is just a 10 minute walk to the Lake Chapala Society which offers a wealth of information about the area and its activities. There is a reason why this area is so popular with visitors from around the world. Yes, National Geographic gave it the distinction of the second best climate in the world, but there is so much more.
