About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 10

Boasting a private hot tub, ocean views, a pet-friendly attitude, and space for a large family, this home in Charleston has everything you may need to have a fantastic coastal getaway!

Located just three miles down the highway from Charleston, which itself is about a 15-minute drive away from Coos Bay and North Bend, this home is perched within sight of the ocean. It is also right on pathways that lead to the nearby Sunset Bay State Park and Bastendorf Beach State Park, where you will find shores with sandy beaches to play on. In nearby Charleston are several charming eateries, though for more options you can take a 35-minute drive south to Bandon or a 20-minute drive into Coos Bay and North Bend.

This three-bedroom, two-bathroom home is equipped to handle up to 10 guests (six adults maximum), so it's perfect for a large family traveling together, and you can even bring along as many as two dogs, though please be aware that a nightly pet fee will apply. There is a ramp leading up to the back door, to make entry a little easier for anyone who may have trouble with stairs. Inside, a living room has plenty of seating, a wood-burning fireplace, and a TV. Entertainment choices around the house include DVD/VCR players, a selection of movies, cable TV, board games, books, and WiFi access.

In the full kitchen you will find everything you need to whip up tasty meals during your stay, which you can enjoy at the four-seat breakfast bar or the eight-person dining room table. On the main level are two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and ocean views, and the other with a king bed) and a full bathroom. The bedroom with a king-size bed even has a ladder that leads up to a sleeping loft with a full-size bed.

Upstairs, a master bedroom has another king-size bed, a sitting area, and ocean views, and there is also a second bathroom on this level. Another loft, accessible via pull-down ladder from the dining room, has two twin beds, so there are plenty of spaces for everyone to rest! Outside is a large deck with a private hot tub to ensure you have a relaxing stay.

This home is great for a large family, two families traveling together, or even a group of friends. Because it is so close to the sandy beaches, the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, and plenty of other fantastic indoor and outdoor attractions, you will have no trouble finding ways to stay busy here!

Come stay at this lovely, spacious, oceanview home in Charleston and enjoy a much-deserved coastal getaway!

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Sharps at the Hats house

  • 4 of 5

Lots of nooks and hidden features that is fun for all ages. Upstairs shower had mold in it and we weren't comfortable showering in that. But overall beautiful property very close to some of my favorite beaches. GPS doesn't take you to the house so once you find it "drop a pin" when sending the address to others

Spingbeak in Coos Bay

  • 4 of 5

Overall a nice home. Plenty of room for the whole family. Kids loved the loft and we loved the hot tub. The dryer wasn't working. We did a load of laundry and had to pack our clothes wet after waiting for a few hours to attempt to dry them. Someone should fix that, but overall a pleasant stay.

Owner's Response: We are glad to see this guest enjoyed this home and would like to apologize for the inconvenience they experienced while doing laundry. It turned out to be a flipped breaker causing the dryer to not work.

Great spot near Coos Bay's beaches!

  • 5 of 5

This house is built to use every inch of space. The three bedrooms are good sized, especially the upstairs one, with a sitting area with beach view. There are also several open, small lofts with beds that would suit children or teens best. Two generous bathrooms. Furniture is comfortable and in good shape. Property has lots of space around it and is bright and open with good windows. Home is in good condition. Room for larger group at dining room table. So close to Sunset Bay park with trail behind the house that will loop up and back, coming in through campground to beach trail. Kitchen functional to cook for a crowd. We celebrated my dad's 90th birthday and had a wonderful time. Enjoyed our stay very much!

Weekend with family at the sand dunes

  • 5 of 5

We loved the HATS house. We will definitely be booking it again. It's a big beautiful house that is well maintained. We cooked many meals at the house however we wished there were more garbage bags, laundry, and dishwashing soap available too use. The chocolates in the lighthouse on the kitchen counter were delicious. The staff was so helpful when my grandparents couldn't get into the house they showed up on sight to assist them! Overall a very wonderful experience and look forward to staying again.

Ps. If you're using google maps it does not take you to the house. Start looking for the address a mile before google says you are there.
