Very nice 3 bedroom house in a small very quiet town.
Great time! Short drive times to oatman, Lake havasu and Vegas! Would recommend to a friend
Thank you so much Alex! Welcome back anytime?
Simple, clean, and comfortable
We had a great time at Lisa's house at the river. Very comfortable with all the amenities you could need for a weekend at the river. An outside BBQ was not on the property, so bring your own. We will be returning when possible.
Lisa was responsive,accommodating, and helpful.
Thank for your kind words. Our cleaning lady said you guys were awesome! Hope to see you again soon. My dad can't get out there right away, but he will bring a BBQ next time he goes out there for you guys and other guests to use.
PS-Our contract says if there is something you need you have to tell us. We have a neighbor who would have brought a beautiful BBQ over. Pls read the contract next time. :)
Very nice place to stay
Very clean nice environment to stay at. Owners very nice.
Thank you for your kind words. Hope you find a place to buy and we can have you as a neighbor. Actually, we have a couple of guests that have become neighbors. :) We enjoyed having you & hope to have you back.
Inside ok. Outside not
Inside the house was adequate . Outside was not exactly what the pictures show. In a neighborhood with many run down trailers and shacks. The mandatory insurance policy was odd especially since the place was not as nice as most we have stayed in other times.
The insurance is not mandatory. They give you a choice between paying a refundable deposit or paying the Property Damage Protection. It is in case something gets damaged, you do not have to pay for it. You may not think the things inside our house have any value but the next guest may want to use them.
My father has told me that there are a couple of vacant shacks in the area. Our place is not a resort and this is reflected in the price. I think most of our guests understand this and are happy with a basic clean place. We keep up our house for ourselves and for our guests and the photos posted are representative of exactly what our house looks like inside and out. I know because I took them! We have no control over what the neighbors do. We just know that they do not bother anyone, it is safe, and quiet.
I think our house is good for people who want to enjoy the Colorado River, Lake Havasu, The Bird Estuary, and other natural wonders in the area. If you are concerned about what the other houses look like, our place is probably not for you. Please feel free to ask any question before booking, and if I do not know the answer I will ask my father who is the owner of this house.
We aim to make you happy while you are at our place. If there is anything we can do to make your stay more pleasant while you are at our home, please let us know and we will do it. Somethings are unfortunately out of our control.
We were checking out the area to see if we would like to spend a few winter months in Arizona. We chose this rental because it was pet friendly and Ann was prompt in returning our messages. The house was as described. I was impressed with the cleanliness. There were only two of us, so we only used the master bedroom, but there was room for several more people. The kitchen was supplied with sufficient plates, utensils, pans and etc. The area was quiet and peaceful. I am a geocacher and there were a lot of caches in the area. We would consider staying here again.
I've stayed here a few times now. For me and my group its usually a 1 or 2 night stay. The place is as described. The master bedroom sleeps 2 comfortably and has a nice shower and big closet. The guest room is nice and sleeps 1. There is a spare room with a Futon. The futon we used but its a little thin on the padding. Kitchen has everything you need and the washer and and dryer work good to. The TV room has a nice flat screen with enough channels to keep you entertained. The house over looks the Topock Marsh and is quite at night. Its about a 5 minute drive to town and about 10 minutes to the Colorado river. We will be back.
Thank you for your nice review. Yes, our place is quiet and so peaceful. I want to clarify a couple of things. The guest room has a full size bed which can and has slept 2 adults many times. I guess it depends on how much space you need :). Thank you for letting us know about the futon. My dad is going to see about getting bunk beds for that room when he gets back from Nicaraga in April. The futon is also full size and has slept 2 adults many times. I am very happy you enjoyed our house and you are welcome back anytime! :)
It is about 36 miles to Laughlin but there are Indian casinos closer. I think it is about 222 miles to the Grand Canyon and about 129 to Hoover Dam and Lake Meade, there are tons of natural wonders in Arizona within a few hours drive from Topock. I think it is about 300 miles across the state to New Mexico and about the same to Saint George Utah.
