Restful Cottage For 4 On Lake George Near Traverse Cit
Here is a quiet cottage that sleeps four nestled in the woods on tranquil, beautiful Lake George, a small lake situated between Arbutus Lake and Spider Lake. It is only 12 miles SE from downtown Traverse City, 9 miles from the airport. Access to the cottage is off a paved road. If you are looking for a place to rest and relax, this is it.
While Lake George is a non-wake, trolling motor only lake with no public access, both Spider and Arbutus Lakes offer public boat launches for anyone with a boat and trailer. Also, it is just 8 miles to a boat launch on East Bay part of beautiful Grand Traverse Bay. For those who like hiking, several trails are nearby as well as being located near the Vasa Trail used in both winter and summer for biking and skiing. And kayaking, canoeing and tubing are possible on the Boardman River only 3 miles away. If you visit in the winter, snow mobile trails are within two miles as well as wonderful cross country or snowshoeing trails.
The cottage has two bedrooms and one bathroom. There is a queen size bed in one room and a double bed in the second bedroom. Enjoy a meal on the deck overlooking the lake. At night use the fire pit for roasting marshmallows or cooking hot dogs. The cottage is furnished with linens, blankets, dishes, coffee pot, toaster and cookware. There is a stove, refrigerator and it is air conditioned. Bring your camera as you may enjoy deer, raccoon's, squirrels and birds.
Located with permanent residences nearby, there are quiet hours after 10:00 pm. There is a hill down to the cottage and steps down to the lake where there is a dock. No fireworks are allowed.

Our vacation getaway
This was a very quiet and relaxing location. We enjoy the scenery and fishing on the lake. It is just the right distance to places in town to visit and shop, as well as restaurants. We plan on staying here again.

Wonderful Vacation Spot
Once again we have a restful and enjoyable time during our stay in Traverse City. The cottage is wonderful. We had a great time fishing and enjoying the area. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Cabin Stay
We loved this property! We stayed for a long weekend to attend a wedding in downtown Traverse City. The place was so nice and cozy and we had the best time!! We will definitely look to stay here again if in the TC area!!

Lovely cabin on the lake
Cozy cabin with great views and all the amenities. Private lake is perfect for kayaking and fishing!

Wonderful Stay!
This was the fourth time we stayed at the property. Every stay had been a wonderful time of rest and relaxation. We enjoy fishing on the lake. We look forward to coming back next year.

Relaxing get away
It is a cabin so away from the city, which we were looking for. Good accommodations and a filtered pitcher in the fridge was a nice bonus. Suited our expectations very well!

Sweet place to relax
The cottage is cute and perfect for a relaxing get-away. It’s nice to be on a lake without motors, you can really enjoy peaceful nature sounds. And it is so close to all that Travers City has to offer!

George Lake Getaway
The cabin was very clean and in a nice peaceful setting. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The lake had excellent fishing. We will definately be returning to this property for another getaway! We had such a great time!

What a hidden gem!
We absolutely loved our stay. Beautiful, quite and a great get away for a parents weekend. We certainly got a chance to recharge and enjoyed this wonderful cabin. Exceeded our expectations. We will be back again!

The perfect weekend getaway
The property was excellent we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The scenery and atmosphere around the cottage this time of year is top notch. Susan the owner was easy to reach for the few questions we had. We will definitely be returning to this property in the future.

This was our family cottage for years. It was remodeled completely in 2006 by my father. And more remodeling was done in 2014 after I purchased the cottage.
Qué distingue a esta propiedad
I have always loved the setting of Lake George. It is a quiet lake, no motor boats or jet skis. The fishing has been good for bass and blue gill with some perch. This is the type of lake to kick back and relax.
