Beautiful and immaculate in excellent location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for our 20th anniversary. The house was perfect for a couple and for a romantic weekend, with nice wine glasses, lounge chairs, a little outdoor table we put in the lower front yard for sunset drinks. The bedroom and bath had robes and good amenities. We especially loved the beaches and seeing turtles in "the front yard." It was busy in the area on Saturday with all the beach goers so we just put beach chairs across from the driveway and sat out along the water to see the action and more turtles. We had a great time and highly recommend this place.

Amazing home, location and overall experience!

  • 5 of 5

Close enough to Hilo and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to take advantage of all the wonderful activities and attractions, yet removed enough to be in your own private piece of paradise. The black sand beach and incredible snorkeling located steps from the house are amazing!

Wonderful home in Hilo

  • 5 of 5

We had never stayed in Hilo (we always just drove through), and now hope to make it a regular stop during our visits to the Big Island. The location is perfect--right across from the ocean, but a bit back from the main road. The home was roomy and comfortable, and perfect for my husband and me (would have been fine with another couple too). The kitchen had everything we needed and the screened in porch was great during the rainy weather. The owner was VERY responsive (which is not always the case with other VRBO's we stayed) when we had an unexpected power outage for a few hours (as a storm rolled through). We hope to visit very soon!

Great Location

  • 4 of 5

The location and property were great - the property manager was very friendly and helpful. The one downside was a ceiling leak when a rain storm came through, although it wasn't in an area that had a lot of traffic. Super accommodating with a late check out as we had a late flight home.

Best of Hilo!

  • 5 of 5

I love this house. It has made my trips to Hilo so much nicer! I come to Hilo for work every few months and have stayed here probably four times. I can walk straight across the street and into the water or out to Richardson's black sand and easy water entry but it's tucked back a bit and isn't really visible from the beach parks if I have breakfast in the front yard. It has everything I need and want, tropical shampoo, fluffy towels, good internet, and fans in the rooms. And it's very clean (especially for Hilo, which is buggy and can be very muggy with the rain). Basically it's clean, beautiful, comfortable.
