Why Joan Maharas chose Marco Island
Loved the central location near 4 public beaches. Backyard canal view is very private and quiet. Been looking for just the right house for two years, finally found it.
What makes this House unique
Bridge behind house is picturesque and prevents boat traffic....Keeps things quiet and private, 5 sink / vanity / mirrors lets everyone get ready quickly.

Owner is very nice person to deal with! Thank you
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home! The location is excellent, with beautiful views and everything you could possible need for a perfect vacation! The beach is just a short bike ride away. Joan was wonderful to deal with. We hated to leave!
Thank you so much! I enjoyed getting to know you and appreciate how well you took care of my home. Perfect guests!
This was a great rental for my family in Marco Island. The house is in the perfect location with easy access to the beach and several fantastic restaurants. Joan was a pleasure to work with and made everything easy. The first day we arrived there was a problem with the pool heater and Joan immediately had someone come and resolve the issue. She even refunded us $100 because we had to wait for the pool to warm up! My 13 year old son loved the pool and it worked perfectly the rest of the time we were there. We rent from VRBO several times a year and this is one of the best properties we’ve stayed at. The house is immaculate and has all the modern amenities you could think of. Tigertail beach is great for renting kayaks and fishing or for just sitting in the sun. All of the places we ate were fantastic including but not limited to, Marco One, Pinchers and of course the Snook Inn. We also day tripped to Naples which everyone enjoyed. It was great to come back to such a nice house after a fun filled day of activity and just lounge by the pool or retreat to one of the three bedrooms which all have flat screen TV’s. I highly recommend this property especially for families. Thanks for everything Joan
Wish we could have stayed longer!
We were in town for a family wedding and really enjoyed our comfortable stay! Being able to bike to the beach was awesome, and the house had everything we could have needed. We had one cleaning issue that was rectified immediately, upon notification. Joan is a pleasure to work with and we would recommend this property to everyone. :)
Thank you very much! I appreciate that you let me know immediately about the cleaning issue. We recently changed services and it helps me to provide the best service when you give me feedback!
PS.... I also enjoy riding the bikes, only minutes to everything.
It will be difficult not to gush so I'm not even going to try. From the start, Joan was so easy to work with and simply a kind person. When we arrived to the house, it did not disappoint. My girls immediately jumped into the sparkling pool as we got settled and played for literally hours. Took a break, and hopped in again as we watched the clouds turn pink and orange over the bay. Later, we turned off all the pool lights, lounged on the floats and gazed up at the stars through the lanai. It was magical. Throughout our stay, everything we needed was at hand. I cooked nearly every meal and felt right at home. We enjoyed multiple breakfasts and dinners on the outdoor dining table while watching pelicans soar and dive into the bay. The decor was lovely, beds were comfy and I loved the double headed shower in the master bath. Hitting the beach was a breeze with pool towels, chairs and even an umbrella provided. The only difficult part of our journey was leaving! Hope to be back soon. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us!
Andrea, It was a pleasure getting to know you. It warms my heart to see your family have so much fun. We will take good care of you anytime you choose to return!

Marco Island is just over the bridge at the south side of Naples, Florida. Four by six miles, it is the northermost of the 10,000 Islands off Florida's southwestern coast and the the only inhabited island. This group of barrier islands extends down through the Florida Keys. Marco Island is a half-hour's drive west of Everglades National Park.
Crescent Beach is a half moon shaped curve of white sugar sand beaches extending from the northern to southern tip of the island...known to locals as Hideaway, Tigertail, Residents, City Mid, City South and South Beaches. From these broad clean beaches you can walk out 50 ft into calm shallow water.
Marco Island takes great care in preserving the indigenous wild life and native foliage that makes this a favorite destination year round. You can see burrowing owls, turtles, tiny sand pipers, dolphins, manatees and Mangrove trees whose water-bound roots prevent erosion while teeming with young sea life.
There's always something fun to do while enjoying the lovely beaches of Marco... The relaxed, laid back lifestyle is appealing to visitors, although there is no lack of great activities for the more adventurous type. Golf, kayaking, dolphin tours, parasailing, shelling, shopping, and of course fishing and boating! A large majority of the homes on Marco have access to the Gulf right in their own back yard. You can go by boat to restaurants and shops on the bays and river, with access to the Gulf of Mexico in very little time. Zip up to Naples on a pretty day and have lunch without ever starting your car. You can easily go by car from Marco to downtown Naples in a half hour, but the truth is, once you get to Marco, you won't want to leave.
