2 bath condo located at the Chesapeake Lofts Waterfront Paper District. This unit has the best view
in the building. The waterfront view is a spectacular 180 degrees overlooking Lake Erie, Sandusky
Bay with great view of Cedar Point. Great spot for family vacation to the lake, Islands, amusement
park, or Sandusky community. This unit is close to restaurants and quaint shops in the heart of
downtown. With 22' lofted Ceilings and a French balcony out to the water. Everything is brand new,
Stainless Steel Appliances, Upscale Furniture, and Granite and Corian Counter tops, all within a 24
hr. secured access lakefront property. There is even complimentary full time access to the fitness
center located within the complex. Rent a boat or bring one for Walleye fishing or Island hopping.
Bring the jet skis, or tour the many islands by ferry with the Jet Express, which is steps from this
complex.

Our family really enjoyed our stay!! Relaxing on the comfortable couch with a amazing view of the lake was incredible!! The sunsets were beautiful!! The beds were comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again!! Our family loved it!

Wonderful waterfront loft with gorgeous views and walking distance to downtown Sandusky. Great restaurants and shopping and island hopping. Loft had everything we needed plus a well-equipped gym. Highly recommend and will return! Thanks Jarrod!

This place is stunning! Right on the water with the best sunsets! Downtown has lots of things to do within easy walking distance. Great security features too for building entry and parking (although I saw no reason for it).

Great Condo on the water

Enjoyed our stay here! Sister trip! Close to many places and very clean condo! Great location for just about any day trip you want to take! Comfy furniture and beds and all the amenities you could need! My only suggestion would be that a wagon of some type left in the condo for guests to use while toting groceries and personal items to and from the car to condo would be extremely helpful!

Perfect Location with a Great View!

We were in town for a softball tournament at Sandusky's Sports Force Park for the week and were looking for something other than a hotel. We loved everything about this condo! The location to the sports park and Cedar Point... both were about 15 minutes away from the condo. Great restaurants all within steps of the lofts. The condo faces the lake and allowed for stunning sunsets (when we were there to see them!) The description is accurate. (For the record, the one bedroom does not have a window and my kids thought that was the BEST room because it was like cave with zero light. It is a preference on the window, so the property should not get dinged for that... GREAT room for families with little kids that are still napping!) Overall we would absolutely come back and stay here! The owner is super responsive and was easy to deal with... even when I asked a bunch of questions. We LOVED our time in Sandusky!

Great location and view, but Dated, Dark, Dirty

The best things about this property were the location, the view, the pool, and the responsiveness of the owner. Things not under his control, like the guest bedroom with no windows, could not be helped. The overall dark and dingy aesthetic of the place, the ill-repair of the place, the ill-equipped of the place ARE in the owners control. The dark brown paint, heavy dark leather furniture, heavy dark end tables, old and thread-bare sheets and pillow cases, old bed spreads, old prints, old lamps, old dressers, and dated décor added to the dark, dusty, dingy overall feel of the place. It needs better lighting overall, updated furniture, and findings, and equipment. The owner seems to have chosen to ignore inspecting the cleaning that is done to turn the unit, taking inventory of what equipment might be needed, and checking for what necessary maintenance might be needed. The toilet in the hall had to be attended to due to low water or float/chain issues. The silverware was of the cheap 'stamped tin metal' variety. There were no wine glasses. (The owner responded immediately to requests for new silverware and wine glasses.) The primary bedroom bath has mold at the ceiling, the wood near the sliding door is buckled due to moisture, both baths showers are moldy. Overall, the place is dusty and dirty and not as clean as it could be made to be. We also wondered why we weren't offered replenishment of toilet paper, paper towels, given we booked the place for a month. We won't stay there again because we look for places that are sparkling clean, bright, and with décor that is current. This wasn't it for us.

100% RUDE and disrespectful! At least he liked the location, pool, and VIEW…Because these are the reasons you stay here! This condo location and views are second to none in Downtown Sandusky! Just as other reviews have stated…”you have to stay there”. The pictures on this site accurately depict how this unit looks….from the furniture, to the lamps, to the bedspreads and yes…to the color of the walls. For the condo to be criticized because the décor “wasn’t for us”…KNOWING HOW THE UNIT LOOKS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL…is flat out RUDE. I am an attentive owner and help when I can…thus getting new wine glasses and “new silverware” after being told the spoons and forks were “sub-standard”…that’s a first. Please, come stay with us. If you can handle the “décor” and neutral paint colors…the location and the views are second to NONE! We love it!!

Great View, good location, needs a refresh though

Good central location, walking distance to the Express Ferry dock and several decent restaurants (and several lousy ones too). Convenient parking and a nice swimming pool and large sundeck. The fitness center is basic; the one weight machine in there has a broken station and limited accessories. A great view of the water from the large wall-to-wall window, and good size 2BR/2BA unit . Not as clean or maintained as a room at a name brand hotel. Floor was dusty and several light bulbs are burned out. The mattress in the MBR is awful, lumpy and spongy. (Mattress should have been replaced 2-3 years ago.) The binder in the unit containing information about local activities is just obsolete copies of webpages (no insider tips) and sorely in need of updating "New for 2008!". Bring your own paper towels and toilet paper. We didn't and had to drive to Walmart to buy some. Note: There is a BIG construction project underway all around this building, so there is a lot of noise and dust being kicked-up on weekdays, the access road is temporarily one-way, and walking is not as carefree as it should be.

Thanks for the review. The dark wood floors are hard to keep dust free...esp with the downtown road construction. I always have 2 rolls of tp and 1 roll of paper towels..always! When I keep more than that, people will leave with entire packs. I have lightbulbs available, in unit, accessible if they were to burn out. I am local and it is easy to contact me with any issues. There were 2 books in the condo...my "original" book I did in 2008 AND there was a new one from 2019...past renters had put the "new book" in a bedroom drawer. I took your advice and I have replaced that mattress with a new one! So glad you loved the view...it is one of the best views/sunsets in aaall of Sandusky!

Even better than expected

This industrial chic loft was perfect for our family vacation to Sandusky. We were impressed with how clean and comfortable the condo was. But honestly, it's the beautiful view that really won us over. The pictures don't do it justice! Additionally, we appreciated that we could walk to the ferries and downtown. Cedar Point is a short drive which was perfect for us as we needed a peaceful retreat after many hours of park madness! Our teenagers loved that we had a view of the park. We absolutely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.
