Old and Awful!!
BEWARE! What a horrible experience! First let me start by stating that I'm a partner in a Vacation Rental Management company that manages over 400 homes, so I'd like to think that I'm qualified to rate my experience. This home was the worst I've come across in my 10 years in the industry. There's literally not a single item in the home that has been purchased with the last 20 years. The ceilings are barely over 6' high and there are exposed electrical wires, in multiple locations. Beyond the condition of the house, I was originally impressed with the communication from the owner. I was very forthright in my communication that we might have an couple additional guests visiting us (two or three of my aunts and uncles that are in their late 70's so clearly not a noise or party concern). We agreed to pay an additional guest fee which was frustrating but agreeable. However, when my guests cancelled and the home/owner/septic system was not inconvenienced by their arrival, I kindly asked for a refund of the fee. NO RESPONSE! Instead, I received a notification that we were being charged a $200 cleaning penalty. That's right, I travelled across the county to a home that did not have linens, towels, or a cleaning service. We were expected to clean the property ourselves upon departure. WHICH WE DID. And then the owner felt he had the right to subjectively charge an additional cleaning penalty with no documentation stating what we failed to clean. I would not be surprised if this scam works on his other guests, but sorry, all fees will be disputed and every effort will be made to alert any future guests of these unethical practices.
Old house but clean and comfortable. GREAT porch, deck area and parking. Kitchen could use some updates-water flow was uneven at times and plumber was required to repair intake pipe. The pump beside the downstairs bedroom needs some noise insulation. It is loud enough to disturb sleep.
The cottage had everything we needed. The covered porch was perfect for the short rain spells. Dinners on the deck near the water was lovely. Plenty of parking and easy access to the dock. Amazing sunsets!
If you like to cook, be aware there are no pantry items- bring all spices/oils/vinegar/sugar ect that you like to cook with. I usually assume this is the case and pack all of my favorites anyway!
We had an amazing week at Glory Days! Everything was perfect!
Raleen and Jeff were terrific - right next door if we needed anything which we didnt because they had everything all set when we arrived! Very private area - quiet and relaxing! Just what we needed! Cant beat the views!!
We had an amazing time staying in this cottage that was previously owned by our grandparents. We spent many summers on this porch enjoying the view and it was wonderful to experience it again. The cottage allows you to slow down and enjoy life. The dock and firepit were a big hit with our family! We had a blast and made a lot of new memories. We can't wait to come back.
We enjoyed our 4th of July vacation at Glory Days. We had 2 families of 4 there & it was perfect for the little kids. Great dock & shallow water for swimming. Easy in & out with a boat. Fridge, oven & clothes dryer needs upgrade. Should add clothes washer too. Also need to get newer & a couple more fans
Overall we had a great time & enjoyed our stay!

Perfect place on Keuka Lake
Loved our week at Glory Days. The house brings memories of a home that has been in the family for decades..... one that we wish was our family. Being able to have this home for one week was "glorious". The property is a rarity for lake real estate. The secluded back porch has a perfect view of the lake and Bluff....even in the rain. The property to the lake is lined on both sides with trees and vegetation that makes one feel as if you are the only ones there.
Unlike other lakes in the area, boat traffic is very low. The calm, mirror like, early morning water was ideal for kayaking and solitude. We rented Kayaks for the week that were delivered and picked up. Ragean Canoe and Kayak made the rental super easy. Swimming was ideal, especially for our grandchildren, being shallow (4'-5' near the dock).
The owners, Raleen and Jeff, were friendly and, even though next door, gave us our privacy.
They were very helpful when we needed assistance with the use of the boat whip that was foreign to us.
Highly recommend the place.

A great week at Glory Days
If only the owners could make the week go by more slowly....

Adorable House; Picky Owners
We were very happy with accommodations at Glory Days. The view from the covered back porch is amazing. There was plenty of room for parking and no stairs to get to the house. The location on the east side of the lake was great, and the deck and dock made hanging waterside with friends really fun. The interior of the house was a bit over the top with the "shabby chic" decor. Almost every surface (including the walls) was covered with decorative and breakable stuff. We were a bit paranoid that we'd break something, and there was little room to put our stuff. Our one complaint was that we were charged a portion of security deposit after we left. The owner's explanation was that we didn't bag the recycling we put in one of the cans (not knowing you need to do this) and that they had to spend an hour cleaning up after we left. Meanwhile, we'd swept the floors, wiped down counters, cleaned the toilets, took out all the trash (and made sure trash was picked up from the previous tenants - despite having no instructions about when trash was picked up), remade all the beds and wiped down the entire interior of the refrigerator. I'm not sure what else we could have done. Unfortunately, this left us with a bad feeling about the house and the owners. Also, the owners own the house next door, so they're around.
