We have stayed here before. It works well for us. Beds are super noisy . Lots of space for our family. Teens loved the pool table.

Overall good

It was a nice house. Plenty of beds. Good kitchen. Wish it had a couple cookie sheets. Only concern we found was small step down on the deck at picnic table. Hard to see and couple stumbles.

Great place.

Everything was clean and roomy. Only drawback would be that you can hear each other wherever you are in the house. No insulation between rooms. Very echoing. Love the skylights but annoying if you want to sleep in.

Not great

This place was not cleaned well. The toilets had urine all down the front, there was pet hair all over the place, dead spiders, crumbs in the bedding…And it was just a weird house. The primary bathroom is so odd, it’s off the bedroom with French doors that don’t close tight and have a curtain for privacy. The pictures make this place look better than it actually was. It’s in severe need of updating, and a real good deep clean.And The owner also tried to sell us his financial planning company pitch (after telling us his finances were not doing well and he has to do the cleaning himself.)He had a big list of strange rules and guidelines he wanted us to abide, like, don’t leave the cornhole bean bags outside or the rodents will eat them…yikes! Or don’t leave the fridge open very long, weird common sense things like that. It was extremely overpriced for what you are getting. We booked because we needed a place near our family reunion home nearby and this one was still available…so my advice is if you have another option, go with that one.

Seems to be a nice owner

I submitted a review that was rejected by HomeAway. Which was a good thing because I submitted the review before I spoke with the owner. I believe the owner to be sincere in their efforts to provide a quality vacation rental. Unfortunately you can not put a Jaguar hood ornament on a Kia and call it a Jaguar. I would not have rented This property if I would have visited the property first. I would never have used HomeAway. The area we stayed in was mediocre for a family reunion. But I would never plan a vacation in this area. Sorry for the negative review owner person. You really did seem like a nice person.

Location was good

This property was nice and comfortable for our family of 4 adult couples a single adult and our grandchildren. Plenty of sleeping spots with the bunk beds. It was a fun location with pretty quick access to the lake and the fun eating spots in Garden City. Close to the events for Raspberry Days. The house itself could use some updating and just some minor repairs to make it feel a bit more comfortable. We had a good time. The owners were responsive.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING

This place was FILTHY! It had not been cleaned! The floors were full of spills, footprints and dirt. The bathrooms had spots on the mirrors, bugs and spiders in the bathtub, and dirt and hair all over the floor. the washer and dryer had wet sheets and towels in both of them. There was a disgusting futon with hair, dirt and a big old bleach spot. The sheets had sand in them and had not been changed. The kitchen was so dirty, cluttered, and sticky. We would have left, but there was no where else to go and we were there for a family reunion. The owner kept promising to send the cleaners but they never came. I don't think he even has a cleaning company. I am currently working with VRBO to get a full refund and I think this property should be dropped! So unsafe and unsanitary!!!

Good location close to the water and town.

Good place for a large group. We picked it because of the number of people we could fit in it. We had all of our adult kids and grandkids there with us and there was enough beds for everyone. The pool table was a great addition, everyone really enjoyed that and the cornhole on the big porch. Unfortunately the outside lights had been disconnected so we couldn’t enjoy the big porch after dark. Also half the pockets on the pool table were ripped so the balls just fell the the hardwood floor. We had to find boxes and put pillows in them to catch the balls so the floor didn’t get damaged. There was also several light bulbs burned out and a lot of spider webs in corners. Overall the place worked well for our group but the cleanliness and condition was a little disappointing considering what we paid. I still gave it 5 stars because the location was great for the lake activities and the issues we had were minor. Not a big deal.

Great open floor plan with plenty of room

There are tons of beds (I think I counted 13) including 3 kings, lots of gathering space, great open floor plan; Huge kitchen, pool table, massive deck; Plenty of couches and chairs. We had ten people for four days, and never felt the least bit crowded. There are two important things to be aware of: 1) There are three toilets, but only two showers. We had five people sharing each shower. If it were my property, I would definitely add a shower in the third bathroom. 2) It's hard to tell from the satellite view, but be aware that there is a significant elevation difference from the front of the property to the front door. There is a long, very steep driveway to the top, which may make towing a boat hard to manage.

Chill Week.

The place was good for our week to get away and relax. The view from the front deck is great. Deer came into the yard one evening. This place would be good for 1 or 2 large families to eat and sleep if they have preplanned outdoor summer activities. It is not fancy, but beats camping.

Bear Lake Vacation

We had a great stay. Location was good for dining, racecars, and activities. The house was pretty good, clean, and beds were comfy. The carpet tack strip between the kitchen and dining has nails poking out, not great for crawling babies. The deck lights also need to be replaced on the north end. All in all, we had a great time.

Great views and location

We enjoyed our stay at this property, and the pool table was a huge hit with the kids. The location (great proximity to Garden City) is really nice, and the lake views from the deck are excellent. Everything was as described, and the owner was very prompt to respond to our questions. Our only complaint was that the house is really showing its age. If you're looking for newer or modern accommodations this probably isn't the place for you.

Amazing view of the lake and mountains!

Overall good experience. The place needs some TLC - carpets and and door/curtain in the bathroom shower. Kitchen supplies useable but need replacing or tell us to bring our own. I would stay there again though.

Annual Family Trip

Our family does an annual camping trip. This year we decided to do something different. We stayed at this property and really enjoyed ourselves. It allowed us to all be together under one roof. We were able to spend quality family time together. The property met our needs and expectations.

Fantastic Family Experience

This vacation rental was perfect for our family of 13 and our 4 dogs! It had plenty of space for everyone and it’s big open floor plan made it so easy for all of us to talk, play games, eat, and interact. I would definitely recommend this place for larger families like ours!

One level, plenty of room

Overall, this worked really well for our 3 families on vacation. There was plenty of space - lots of rooms and beds, table to eat and play games, TV area and huge deck. We liked the corn hole boards and pool table. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the kitchen. We brought some very easy meals that didn't require a lot of cooking, so it wasn't too bad for us, but the whole kitchen felt greasy, the dishes were not clean and there was dirt and dust from the light fixtures to the floor.

Great home for family vacation!

The property owner, Lucas, was easy to communicate with and quick to answer questions. The check-in process was simple and straightforward. The property was clean and spacious for our family of 10 with plenty of sleeping options. It was located close to Bear Lake. We had so much fun and would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Bear Lake!

The house had plenty of open area for family to eat and play games. The kids especially liked the pool table and the deck. Looked like some of the areas had been freshly painted. Plenty of beds for everyone. This place REALLY needs a deep cleaning. Drawers and cupboards were dirty. Carpets were stained. Refrigerator and freezer had to be cleaned out before using.

Fantastic Family Fun

Our family of 11 came from Nevada, Utah and Minnesota and stayed at this terrific property. Lucas is really great to communicate with. Easy to reach by text and quick response. The house was great. Had fun playing billiards, corn hole and games at the dining table. We cooked all our meals, only went out once for a raspberry shake. The house was well equipped and had plenty of sleeping space and the bedding was clean and nice quality. The one bed by the 1/2 bath was a bit uncomfortable, but not a huge problem. The lake/beach is not walking distance for the activities we planned, so we drove to Rendezvous beach one day and North Beach in Idaho the next, each about 7 miles from the house. We had our own paddle boards, kayaks and things, but rented jet skis for a few hours and had a blast. Beds are comfy, plenty of pillows, blankets, towels and everything. Kitchen had everything we needed. Garage was super for keeping our beach stuff. Plenty of parking for our 4 vehicles too. The only thing we found awkward was that all bathrooms were attached to or next to a bedroom, so we had to go through someones bedroom to take a bath/shower/or pee, but no biggie. Had a great time. Rented bikes one day too. Wifi worked great. Thanks so much Lucas..
