The house was nice and we enjoyed riding around on the golf carts. We loved seeing all the deer. The beach is a short ride on golf cart and even a easy walk. Host was extremely helpful and responsive.

April Getaway

I love staying at Ann’s place! It’s the perfect location on the island and I brought one of my very good friends to Fripp Island for the first time. Our dogs, Riley and Benny had a blast, taking walks every day playing on the beach and riding in the golf cart! Highly recommend!

A great getaway

This was our first time to Fripp and we know we’ve found another great spot that we hope to book again. This home was very clean and ideal for our family. Ann was a great host and anytime we had questions, she responded very quickly and was so helpful. We can’t wait to rebook!

Great location in Fripp

The house was great, well stocked and in a great location near the beach and pools. Two nice golf carts were also a great bonus! Our only complaint was the grill which was unusable as it was covered with mold. More of an issue for my husband who likes to grill. The property owner ordered grill cleaner right away but we didn’t feel like cleaning the grill so we used the charcoal one in the garage instead. Small issue compared to what the house offered including beach chairs, noodles, etc. I would stay there again.

This was our second year in a row staying at Ann’s house in Fripp Island. We love Fripp and this house is perfect for our family of five. Clean, comfortable and plenty of space. Everything we needed for a great stay!

A week on Fripp island

This is the second time we stayed on Fripp, in this property. It is very nice, very well located, and the convenience of having the golf cart is excellent. We had very good communication with the owner, who ensured that we had all we needed. Thank you for another great week!

An amazing week on Fripp!

We stayed a full week at Ann’s beautiful Fripp island home and we couldn’t have been happier. The house is exactly as advertised- clean, spacious, and fully-stocked. The location is perfect- a 4-minute walk to the beach (1-minute golf cart ride), and the house is smack in the middle of everything so it is close to everything. The golf carts were such a nice touch- they both are in excellent shape and so nice to use instead of your car. We didn’t move our car for the full 7 days! Thank you, Ann, for providing such an amazing home for our family fall break vacation!

We had a wonderful time! The only thing I would suggest is upgrading to smart TVs. It’s nice to settle in with a movie to stream without a chrome cast or fire stick The golf cart is amazing. It’s such a relaxing house on a great part of the island. Sitting on the decks and reading a book is literally my favorite thing to do in the evenings I will definitely come back and I highly recommend this beach house! Slice of heaven!

House was dirty

When we arrived, the house had dog poop in the living room, the upstairs tub was dirty, there were clothes on the towel rack and other uncleaned areas. We were not certain the house had been cleaned so we had to wash all of the linens and towels. I reached out to the owner and it took her several hours to respond and she was rude. Even though we paid the cleaning fee, apparently she cleaned herself and had a puppy that left the poop. Her response was "my bad." The tub she said had not been used in years and that's why it was not cleaned??? Animals got into the trash in the garage. The neighbor called to tell her it was a mess and spilling over into his yard. She never reached out to us to address the issue but did send someone to clean it up. We were told this by the neighbor. She also did not provide the amenity cards as promised. We paid our rental in full but she would not release the cards until we paid an additional fee not related to the cards. Apparently Fripp had increased some type of fee and she wanted to pass that along to us. We tried to contact her several times and she did not call us back until we called the main office. We finally got the cards on the third day of our stay after paying the additional fee. I contacted VRBO to complain about the issues we had and they took the information but never followed up with me at all. I tried calling to follow up and they said they were still trying to contact the owner. Not a surprise.

Interesting that my worst guest in 15 years waited 5 months to write a review; full of untrue statements I'm sure shes hoping to deter next seasons guests. The truth: there was a tiny bit of poop left in a spot unseen by 2 month old puppy who had sneaked back inside as we were leaving; it could be cleaned in a heartbeat and sanitized with the cleaning supplies in my home. Apparently this malcontent guest expected immediate responses to her myried complaint I was in a conference with a judge and another attorney and responded as soon as it was finished. She wrote "several hours", I had an unpleasant conversation with her in less than two hours. I spoke with my housekeeper who told me the tub had been throughly cleaned the previous week. The linens and towels were all clean and it was unnecessary to rewash them. The trash situation was unfortunate but as soon as I made aware of it I contacted the superintendent who said there was a new person on the route; he came personally to clean up, he assured me it would never happen again and provided his telephone number. Kathy was very aware of the amenity card situation I advised her in advance of Fripp's increase in the charges for said cards. Kathy's description of my lack of commuincation is a blantant untruth I chatted with her on VRBO numerous times, spoke to her on the phone, exchanged emails and each commuication with her was argumentative and mean spirited. At the end of all of the above, I had a pleasant conversation with her husband. I and my family had deep cleaned the house, carpet cleaned, power washed the house and painted the front steps right before her arrival. I am very grateful for my wonderful guests (many repeat) who have constantly given me 4 and 5 star reviews.
